Srsly.
I was on my way back to dorm, when I passed by the propped open door of the lecture, and just inside the hall, I spied a chipmunk kinda wandering around! Now I think chipmunks are ungodly cute, so moved over to the door to watch it. It was just kinda spazzing out, running around in circles, and... it's neck also seemed to be... crooked... it was almost constantly tipped like.. 90 degrees to the right. I saw it twist it to an upright position a few times, but never to the left. Didn't seem capable of running in a straight line either, and spent most of it's time running in circles, or just spinning around on the spot.
So, watching it for awhile, I decided to give it a bit of shredded lettuce from my left over sammich. Now... I was already fairly close to it, and it was pretty much ignoring me, but I got my hand like, right over the thing, a few inches away, and it was still ignoring me. Eventually got it to take the lettuce. Tried to give it another piece, and it was paying more attention this time, and jumped on my hand and ran over my wrist before jumping down and taking the lettuce. So I just held my hand out to it, and tried to pick it up. It sniffed at my finger, and then bit me!!
It didn't hurt at at all really, was barely even a pinch, but surprised me still so I pulled my hand back, but it apparently was clinging on pretty tight and kinda like, got flung a few inches towards me. I then tried to nudge it out the door with my shoe, which it took a great interest in, climbing all over it, gnawing on the sides of it and on my pant leg, and clinging to the bottom of it when I tried to carry it out the door like that so that if I stepped down I'd crush the poor thing. I got it over to some bushes and low shrubs, which it just kinda sniffed at and nibbled on, and kinda like... tried to dig something out of the dirt, I dunno, but it was rolling around and falling over. Chewed on a wood chip for awhile, then just went back to spazzing out by running in circles.
I took a few video's of it with my phone, but I don't know how to get them off of it for the life of me.

I think it would have bleed to death internally or just been paralyzed. Or in a heck of a lot of pain. The thing seemed way to energetic and spazzy to have a broken neck.

I'd like to think that it was extremely curious almost all the time and so constantly had it's head tilted.

Sounds like it was a wee bit retarded to me. Maybe someone fed it drugs, you know how rodents chew on everything.
My sister's boyfriend found a baby squirrel when he was cutting down trees from the hurricane and they named it Rocky. Soo cute! 4laugh
