Indeed. Green Day will start their 2005 US Tour on April 15th with My Chemical Romance ( heart ).

they are starting in miami florida im so happy cuz there first show of the u.s. part of the tour is in florida and i can go yay biggrin blaugh

The radio announcement today was a big load of crap - pretty much everything that we all knew re-stated. But here's what the radio website said:
Green Day have been touring with fellow pop-punkers New Found Glory, and now they've tapped fledgling goth-punk group My Chemical Romance to support them on a spring North American trek slated to kick off April 15 in Miami. "We like a lot of those [young punk] bands, and it's flattering to hear you've influenced them," says Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt. "And all of them are going to forge their own path and catalog and career history someday."
Goth-punk? What? There are WAY too many sub-genres now to keep up with.
