Today he was having two students, he found teaching defense worked better when the students were paired up together. Of course he could only find one other student to pair up with the girl named Damaris. It was a boy and he was older but from what he had read about him in his other classes he seemed a good bet to work well with her.
Setting up matts he looked around taking off his glasses he cleaned it with the hem of hi gi before looking around the room. Both students should be here soon. Moving he went to get the final touches ready.

Chath arrived looking as if he had jogged there, he had been excited to learn he had a class ready for him. Keir was beside him though he looked less than pleased to be jogging after the kid. He had just learned how to fly yet Chath insisted they run there.
He gave a wave as he entered the gym, this would be his first class with this teacher and apparantly he was suppose to be teamed up with someone. THis would be an interesting class.
"Hope I am not too late!" He announced as Keir merly rolled his eyes and went to lay down in the corner of the gym he was laying claim as his.

"Red come on!" Damaris said crossly as the doors to the gymnasium opened. The girl was dragging her dragon in by his tail. He looked quite disgruntled, "Quit being so lazy!" She scolded finally letting go of him once they were in the gym.
The girl sighed with relief having had dragged the lump of a dragon about halfway to D-Corp, "Sorry if I'm late," She said a little embarrassed as she walked toward the center of the room.
"Chath!" She said a little surprised to see the boy here, "You look so much different!" She said astonished at the color changes that had happened to him. She herself looked quite different, no longer did she carry an enormous mid-section on her. It looked like she had given birth in the period that she had not seen Chath.
Red grunted and finally got himself up to go find a more comfortable area to lay down. The blue dragon spotted the pile of mats on one side of the gym that Kuyoja had pulled some off of to use in the class. The dragon waddled over to them and clambered atop of the pile and laid back down.

Kuyoja looked the group over. Both had brought their dragons and both dragons seemed just as eager to not be there. He bowed to each curtly as he was prone to; to show the dragons proper respect. He then shifted his focus to his students.
"I am glad you both were able to make it Today we will be working on self defense. I see that you.." He indicated pointing to the newt boy, "Have taken a few classes before of it..." He then focused on Damaris,
"Now what experience have you had in this subject?"

"Uhm, I've had a basic class. We learned how to breath right and stretch, stuff like that. The ground work." She replied knowing it wasn't much to go off of. What she didn't mention though was how she nearly maimed a couple of people in the delivery room when she was giving birth.

Chath flashed a smile at Damaris his eyes going a bit wide as he noticed she was no longer prgnant. She must of given birth....but he didn't want to bring the subject up in class...and last they had spoken she had professed not wanting to acknowledge the child. So he kept his mouth shut on the subject.
"Um...Yeah I've had quite a few classes...nothing serious though. Mostly a lot of basic stuff." He replied to the teachers question after a moments thought.
Keir looked up as he saw Red, remembering the blue dragon he snorted at the creature in contempt but didn't bother getting up or moving. He was still recovering from his fight with Baroness.

Kuyoja looked to them both, so one had a bit more experience than the other. That was fine...it didn't look like these two disliked each other. He nodded his head and then gestured towards the matts.
"Well then I will be teaching you both defensive techniques, since you both are having this class together I would appreciate it if you two paired up. One will take a turn being the agressor and the other the defender." he explained before nodding his head again.
"Please stand at least four feet apart. Since neither of you have taken defense classes before I will explain a bit about it. Self defense is mostly the ability to prevent yourself from getting into sitautions that require you to fight. Evening fleeing is considered a better option than to stick to you guns and fight. But since this class is aimed towards the latter, learning how to handle situtaions that come to this point where you must fight back I would like to ask you both. Where do you think on your opponent would be the greatest weak point?"

"Okay," Damaris said with a nod as she proceeded to stand four feet away from from Chath. She hadn't really fought with anyone before in a class, she hoped that she wouldn't actually have to hurt Chath, and vice versa.
Damaris thought a bit at the question, "Well, on a boy it would be his, uhm...genitals?" She asked wanting to use a word that wasn't so slangish.

Chath flushed a bit at Damaris's comment. He kinda hoped he wasn't going to get hit in the nads. Running his hand along the back of his head he moved to stand opposite of Damaris.
"Uh.." Where on a girl would be a weak point? he didn't really want to hit Damaris. "I am guessing the arm?" He answered.

Kuyoja nodded his head though he also shook it at the same time. A rather confusing response.
"Well yes Damaris, on males it would ...definately incapitate them for a woman it is a very sure way to get someone to stop from attacking them." he replied as he pushed his glasses back up on his nose.
"The arm is not a very effective place to strike at...though it can be if you strike it correctly. You can numb a person's arm making it useless in battle." He explained to Chath as he then moved to stand between them.
"I want you both to stand in 'ready' positions." He instructed as he stood with his feet apart his knee's bent. His arms up like a boxer close to his body though his hands were not made into fists.

Damaris noticed Chath's worried expression, "Oh! Don't worry Chath, I won't actually hit you there though!" She assured him. She hadn't even realized that he might be uncomfortable by the answer she had given.
"Alright," She said soon after Kuyoja had told them to stand in the ready. She tried to imitate his stance. She wasn't the best at controlled fighting though, her stance wasn't perfect, her elbows were too far out and her knees too bent.

Chath wondered how exactly you would be able to numb a person's arm by striking it... but he didn't ask as he looked to Damaris and gave her a goofy smile.
"Ah...that is appreciated." He replied with a laugh, he then went to do as the teacher asked his own stance was a bit more practiced as he had done q few classes before as well practiced a lot at home.
"are we really going to be hitting each other?" he inquired hoping to not have to hit Damaris.

Kuyoja gave a very slow shake of his head. "You will and won't be. I want you two tp practice blocking techniques. Thus it will involve one of you striking whilst the other will work through steps I will demonstrate to block."
He explained as he moved to stand beside Damaris. "I want you to try striking at Chath, fist like this so that you won't break your thumb." He explained. "I want you to strike towards his chest, but only once I explain to him how to block it." He finished as he then went to stand beside CHath.
"Now I want you to have your hands loose. That way you can use your hand like a panel to divert the attack off to the side." He demonstrated by showing the boy the rather rigid straight fingers for the move.
He then moved off and nodded his head to Damaris indicating it was fine to start.

"M'kay," Damaris said looking over to Chath to make sure he was ready. The girl balled her fist and sent a punch flying at his chest. She had to take a step forward while she punched so she didn't throw herself off balance.

Chath by instinct took a step backwards rather than using a hand to block, he had learned to dodge attacks and blows at nearly an expert level thanks to his dragons constant surprise attacks. Though he knew he should of used his hands to block he didn't really see a need to if he could simple step out of the way.
"Ah ...sorry...habit..could you do it again Damaris?" he asked as he rubbed the back of his head.
