I run a small Japanese lyrics website, Kumiuta Lyrics. Currently I only do romanizations, but now that I've had almost four years of Japanese language study I'm looking to start doing translations as well. I'm looking for someone who would be interested in working with me to help me with translations.

Requirements:

- Must be fluent or mostly-so in Japanese. As long as you know your s**t, I don't care if you're a native speaker or not.

- Communication skills. This means you answer emails or whatever and get back to me in a timely manner. I have Skype and MSN for additional communication.

- Commitment. I'm looking for long-term here. The pace isn't going to be fast, maybe like a song a week unless one of us has a bunch of other stuff going on.

Optional, but recommended:

- Familiarity with Japanese music, particularly the bands The Alfee, BOOWY, and Buck-Tick. These are the "big three" I'm focusing on. Other bands/artists I want to translate the lyrics for include Miyamoto Shun'ichi, Scudelia Electro, and Going Under Ground. Others will be added eventually.

- Somewhat close to me in age; I'm 21. But really, your Japanese skills matter more to me than how old you are.

This isn't something immediate; I'm looking to start doing translations probably mid-December after I get out of classes for the semester.
