Near the grounds there lies a large lake that seems to be as large as an ocean. The sun reflects off the lake and cause it to gain a shimmering shine.

As Kaze sat there. With the wind blowing his hair back every once and a while. He stares out into the seemingly neverending lake.

He stood up than took his shirt off. Wadding it into a ball than tossed it to the ground, Yawned and than fell back have his head land on his shirt. "Days like theses make me tired." Kaze said to himself.

Stepping angelicly across the snow, Makida reached the lake.
Wondering what the merpeople where doing at this time of year, she walked to the end of the dock, stepping as lightly as she could.
She knelt in the snow, not caring when the wetness started to soak through her brown nylons. Taking off her mitten, she reach down and uncovered some of the snow from the surface of the lake, and placed her warm hand on the thin ice. She smiled as her warm touch started to melt the layer of coldness and released her winter greeting to those below, wiping her hand on her corderoy coat. She shoved her mitten back onto her hand and stood, fixing her touque.

Jeremy closed his eyes for a brief moment and took in a breath of icy air. He loved the winter time, even though it was quite cold. Openeing his eyes, he noticed a girl standing right by the lake. Squinting slightly, Jeremy realized that it was Makida. overcome by boredness and an urge to talk to someone, he walked up and tapped her quickly on the right shoulder, standing behind her left one.

Makida jumped slightly, not hearing anything come up behind her. She turned, "Hey..." noticing nothing, she turned all the way around, and placed her hands on her hips.
"How many times must I let you fool me with that?" She said, a frown on her face. Smiling once again, she started to walk off of the dock, and to the edge of the lake. Glancing at Jeremy, she laughed, "So you enjoying this winter snow as much as I am? Makes you feel reborn doesn't it?"
Her orangish eyes scanned the treetops, covered with the sparkling blanket of white. She sighed, and watched her breath flow from her mouth.

Jeremy laughed and nodded his head
"Well your just that easy to trick!" He replied lightly, gazing down at the lake. After a few seconds of clearing a patch of ice with his foot, he looked back up, remembering Makida's statement.
"Yea, I love the winter, although my hands and feet think slightly different..." He said, pulling his left hand out of his pocket and making a fist, blowing into it trying to warm up his hand.

Makida laughed, "Well that was smart, wasn't it?"
She took off her pink mittens and tossed them to Jeremy, being careful not to get to close to the invisible edge of the lake.
"Take them, I don't need them anymore, they've seem to become accustomed to the chill." She smiled and swung her arms around, carrying herself in circles.
"You excited for the tournament? It's getting closer."
She stopped, slightly dizzy. "And so is christmas, oh how I do love christmas!"
Makida flopped down into the snow, sending puffs of white up from the ground.

Jeremy caught the mittins haistily, and blinked, raising his eyebrow as Makida went twirling and dancing in the snow. "Has anyone ever told you that your an odd one?" He asked, laughing slightly. He blinked at the mittens and then tugged them onto his hands, hodling them up infront of him. "Look! I'm Makida!" he said in a mock high pitched voice, waving his arms around and kicking up snow.

Makida gawked, "Hey! Unfair!"
She watched as he twirled gaily.
"And yes, I do believe someone has... I think." She laughed and picked up a handfull of snow and rolled it into a ball, letting it melt slightly in her grasp.
She chucked it a the mocking boy, and sent it soaring towards him.
"The color suits you actually."

"Oh you think!" he replied, still in his girly voice, resting his chin on his hands and fluttering his eyelashes. "I don't know.. it doesn't match my shoes" He said again, looking down at his black and white shoes. He laughed and flicked his head so that his long dark brown hair brushed out of his face. He walked forwards a little, and slipped on the icy surface of the lake, falling onto his back and winding himself slightly. "Oww.." he muttered after finally catching his breath

"Hey..." Makida whined slightly, "I don't do that, do I?"
She stood there, then pointed and laughed as his mockery ended with a crash on the ice.
"You clumsy oaf!" She ran across the snow towards him, gaily. Pretending to slip, she squealed, "Look! I'm Jeremy!"
Laughing she walked over to him and held out her hand, "Your butt seems to have a magnet attatched to it, that attracts the ground doesn't it?" Smiling she continued, "Does Kayla kn..." She stopped as a slight "crack" was heard. She stood gingerly, and looked at her friend with wide eyes.

"Hey! That wasn't very ni-" Jeremy paused and stopped laughing as he heard the crack of the ice. His eyes widened and he froze. Slowly, he placed his hands on the ice and hauled himself up to a sitting position. He put a little more pressure onto the ice, trying to stand, and he could hear the the layers underneath of him creaking.
"s**t.." he said softly.
He looked back up at Makida. She was alot farther out on the ice them him. He had to think quickly, but nothing came to him! They couldn't keep standing there like that... the ice wouldn't hold for that long.
"Um... alright... just stay still.. or waite no... slowly get down onto your hands and knees... it should take a bit of weight off of the ice..." He said to her, trying to think quickly.

Worried, she watched Jeremy, and listened intently.
Slowly bending down, she slipped slightly, and ended up on her hand and knees.
"O-okay. Hands and knees. Check." She said, looking up at him and swallowing hard.
She thought about the situation they were in, and started to laugh.
"D-do you realize how stupid this is? I mean... sheesh. Dumb luck."
She continued to laugh, her mind to busy to think about getting awway from the ice.
Stupid stupid stupid. Figures.
"If you fall in, I'm saving those expensive mitten's and leaving you to drown with the fishes."

Jeremy laughed nervously and raised his eyebrow.
"the Fishes!! pfft. They would be the least of my concern. Would you rather have me eaten alive by the giant squid?!" He asked, with a mocking tone of hurtness in his voice. "If you fall in, I'll just leave ya there for the merpeople" He said laughing slightly. "Or the Grindylow's! Doesn't matter to me" He added, nodding his head. "Anways I-" CRACK The Ice that Jeremy had Started to stand up on cracked and lowered. There was a small amount of water comming up from the crack, and he looked back at Makida, not knowing anything to say or do.
