I'm reading Rule Book for Arguments.. I can't remember the author. Greeeat book, very helpful thus far. I gives you examples of good arguments, and formulas for good arguments and what makes a good argument and a bad argument etc etc.
Well suddenly, now I'm starting to use these rules and formulas on myself. Which in itself isn't so bad, right?
I told myself I needed a break from studying. I gave myself the premises: because my eyes are tired, and I'm becoming lethargic. Therefore, I need a break. Then I started thinking of other extended reasons to support my premises such as other sources who would say I would need a break, why it's important to take breaks.. etcetc.
surprised
I even started to think of what type of argument I was coming up with.
Quite an indiferent situation.. Does this mean I'm learning stuff? ninja
(Learning stuff would be nice.)

I have this horrible affliction where I can't sit through reading a single page of non-fiction. it's boooooring. I gave up that school crap long ago, and when I read these days (which is a lot... we don't have cable so reading is how i spend most nights...) I'm reading kick-a** fiction by my fav authors. My fiance reads tons of non fiction though... he'll read about sociology and political sciences for FUN....that book about arguments would be right up his alley. but I never want him to read it. because then he'll always win....

Oooh can you get him to reccomend me some sociology and political science books? I love those subjects, wanted to read about them, but I'm not sure what's "good". I myself used to read english grammar books for fun. ninja (Haven't done so recently, probably should.. I'm gettin' a bit rusty...) I can't really stand reading physics books or many history books... unless the author has personality. Most of the time, it's strictly facts, no personality or personal input involved. Boring!
