Padmasambhava glared out at the rain. The weather just had to ruin all her plans, didn't it? Today she had wanted to get out and away from her family. She had managed that much but she had also hoped for something a little more interesting than hiding under a tree while watching everything around her getting soaked. She supposed that she could venture out into the rain anyways... it was still warm enough that she wouldn't freeze if she got wet... but being damp had never appealed to her.

She sighed and flicked a few strands of hair out of her face. The moisture alone was enough to make them cling. Irritating.

Maybe tomorrow would be a better day for relaxing and exploring... but tomorrow was still ages away.

Today was quite the unexpected day for Ame. For when he woke this morning, the sun was shining brilliantly. But as the day went by, so did the sun. And the clouds made it's way over the sun. Lucky for Ame, however. It was still bright enough for him to realize where it was he was going. But the humidity of the rain and the suns dim rays was something he rather didn't enjoy. But that wouldn't get him down. He was still his happy little self, as he walked along in the rain.

Letting the rain fall on him. Ame walked around, in an area where there were slim trees. But they were there. He wasn't very worried about keeping dry. He had nothing important to do, no one important to see. So, no need to hide from the rain. Not paying to much attention to his surroundings or himself. He didn't realize the couple frogs that seemed to have gathered about in his tail or mane. But that was just nothing to worry about. He had come across frogs before. They were something he seemed to get rather used to.

But also not realizing his surroundings. He hadn't noticed that there was another hiding from the rain, under a somewhat large tree. His attention was being preoccupied as he jumped in puddles, and roamed in the rain. He was quite amused, for just this little thing he was doing. But with all the jumping around he was doing, his hooves were quite muddy. Not very appealing. Not to mention the specks of dirt and mud the frogs seemed to track in his pure white hair. He should surely learn how to be more gentlemen like.. Or should he?.. But that was something he could've learned any day. Letting his wings stretch out some, he shook his fur out some. Just letting it get drenched all over again.

Hmmm. Lets see how long it might take Ame to notice the other mare just in his sight. Or shall she just make his way with him.. Lets hope all she'd want to do is play niicccee~

Padma was huffily going over the list of things that she wouldn't get to do today when she noticed the stallion. Her first impression was of his beauty. The rain had sleeked his silver coat against him and the dim light shone over it. She admired his golden markings along his back and down the back legs. She had never seen markings such as those before, even in her decorated family.

He had lovely wings too... and a lovely white mane....

With frogs in it?

Padma blinked, somewhat taken aback. He was actually letting live frogs be in his mane? She looked at her own long mane and cringed at the thought. That was disgusting...

The way he was stomping through puddles careless of how he might get dirtied irked her as well. The mud was dulling the sheen of his beautiful coat. It was a pity. It was... more than she could watch.

"You!" She stepped out from her shelter and let the rain begin to patter down on her. "Stop that! Don't you care about getting dirty?" She didn't want to sound like a chiding mother... but neither did she want to watch while this beautiful stallion dirtied himself.

Trotting along in the mass of mud. He could not even notice, or feel that someone was suddenly watching him. Something that was something he should probably loss. Never know when a destructive other might be watching..

But his attention was suddenly taken back to a sound. Looking about, he had heard someone say something. He squinted his eyes some, trying to find this other being. But with the sudden sight of beige, gold, and pink.. That had to be who had shouted something to him. There was no another near by, that he knew of. Trotting some towards the miss placed colors. He couldn't help but hear more chatter. Looking down to his hooves, he saw that they were dripping in mud. But that didn't even bother him one bit. They'd get clean eventually. So all he could do was giggle at her.

"It wouldn't be any fun if I was just worrying about getting dirty." He just chuckled some more, quite amused at the mare.

Continuing his way over to her, he noticed something rather odd. Even though her wet hair seemed to cover half her face, there was something odd. It almost seemed as if she had more then one pair of eyes. For a second he only thought it was his sight playing ticks on him. But he couldn't help but think other wise. With a drop of his jaw, he stared at her for a second before saying anything.

"Y-you.. Have more then one pair of eyes??!" He was quite amazed at what his sight shared about this odd mare.

The eyes are always the first thing they notice. Padma was torn between the urge to flip her bangs over her eye markings to hide them and the will to flip her hair back so that they were even more visible. She had nothing to be ashamed of, did she? She wasn't the one covered in mud. She hesitated and settled on not doing anything. He had already seen them anyways.

"They aren't actually eyes." She didn't want to think about how many times she had made that particular explanation. "They're just markings."

She steeled herself for whatever reaction the stallion might have. She had just met him. It wasn't like he was a friend or anything.

The falling raindrops plinked quietly against the metal of her collar while she awaited the stallion's response.

Her two eyes blazed amidst the false ones. If he was about to insult her for her bizarre markings she'd make him sorry.

Ame could only stare at the mare as she responded to his words. He was only amused at the whole thing. As Ame wasn't one to judge anyone about anything. Plus, he was to childish to even know anything about that sort of thing. Sometimes he seemed a bit to pure to know anything. But I suppose he'd learn about the sort of thing sooner or later..

Getting lost in the thoughts about her markings. He could only chuckle some. Not because she had the markings on her. But because he was so sure it was just his mind. His vision was a tad bit blurry. He could see fine with things close up, or near him. But in the distance, his sight just gave in. Maybe that was why he seemed to get lost in thought while wondering around on his own. And didn't seem to notice anything around him. But that was something he didn't have to bring up.. But knowing him. He would. He was to friendly to not admit why he was laughing.

Getting used to the rain falling down upon him. He giggled a tad bit more. Thinking about how dumb he felt. But Ame was dumb all the time.. But that would soon become obvious to the mare. That is, if she stuck around long enough.

"You know, I thought my vision was playing tricks on me. My aren't very great seeing in the distance." He laughed some more, not wanting the female to think there was anything wrong with the markings on his face.

Padma scowled when the stallion started to laugh. He was mocking her, was he? She wished that her markings were actual eyes so that she could glare with all of their combined force at the source of her aggravation. Then she'd-

She blinked and listened to what he said next. It was his poor vision that he was laughing at, and not her markings?

It took a moment for the meaning to sink in. He wasn't being unpleasant. He was being good-natured. Huh. That doesn't happen often.

The sudden ease in tension that she felt joined her own laughter to his. It was a bit ridiculous. "So you thought I was some monster then?" She tilted her head to regard him, her aggression turned to teasing. "Maybe your vision explains how you got so muddy."

Ame laughed at Padma's first remark. He had never thought of anyone as a monster. But that was only for the shear fact that he had never met anyone who might be considered one. He had only thought that she had a rather unique feature. That is, if he wasn't so sure about his eyes playing tricks on him.

"I've never thought anyone was a monster before." He nodded with a smile.

With her second remark, Ame looked down at his hooves. He was rather muddy, but again, he didn't mind. He knew he'd get clean again sooner or later. So there was no need to worry about getting dirty. There was nothing fun in that. So, his vision, sure, had nothing to do with the mess he had become at the moment. But Ame was to slow to realize she was only teasing.

"Nooo, I don't think my vision has anything to do with that, really..." He replied, still looking down at his dirty hooves.

Padma was growing more confident with each moment she spent with this stallion. He wasn't judgmental like everyone else she met. He was... thoughtful! Understanding! He wouldn't condemn her for something as trivial as having strange markings. He didn't even seem to think they were that important.

With half a sly smile, she reached out and gave one of his braids a tug. "I can help you get the mud off... but you have to follow me back somewhere dry." Would he follow her? She felt her pulse increasing at the thought. It was a silly impulse, to grow so excited over such a small thing.... but somehow she found that she couldn't calm herself down.

Without the mud, he'd be gorgeous. The mud and the frogs both. She resisted the urge to cringe when she thought of how close she had gotten to the amphibians when she had tugged on this stranger's mane. Stranger. That was right, she hadn't even introduced herself yet. She resolved to do that as soon as she could get him out of the rain.

Get the mud off him? He didn't see why he had to get himself clean. Who knew when the rain would let up. Not to mention, he could become dirty at any time.. Be wasn't one to be careful when it came to cleanliness.. If what wasn't obvious enough. But there was no harm in following the female. He had only just met her, and she seemed rather interesting to have around. So, why not follow her? And that was just what he did.

Shaking out his mane some, the frogs clung to his pure white hair for their dear life. He had no idea why frogs seem to attract to him. But he didn't mind. As the rain continued to fall, the bangs of his mane seemed to stick to him; as if glued to his face. It didn't help his slightly impaired vision. But he was lucky his new female friend had distinctive colors. Colors that didn't seem to blend into the background. Following the mare, he finally noticed.. He never got her name. It would be quite the smart idea if he at least got that from her.

"Heeey! I never caught your name! Mine ish Ame!" He smiled happily.

Padma's blue eyes twinkled as she looked over her shoulder back at the stallion. "My name is Padmasambhava. I think there's a syllable for each eye that I have on my face." She laughed. Somehow it was easier to laugh about her markings instead of feeling ashamed of them around this stallion. Maybe because he didn't find them all that bizarre. "But you can call me Padma." She wouldn't expect someone she had just met to remember her name in it's entirety. Sometimes she thought that only herself and her mother really remembered it all.

She stepped back under the shelter of the tree that she had been under when she had spotted Ame. She was wet now... but also had company. That made being sticky a little more bearable. She shook out droplets from her mane in attempt to make herself somewhat presentable. Not that he would probably notice. After all... he can hardly see and has frogs in his mane. Frogs!

She looked Ame over with a discerning eye. If it wasn't for the frogs and mud he'd be beautiful. Silver, gold, white, and beautiful.

Ame smiled as Padma laughed. He liked when others laughed, it made him happy. But her name sort of reminded him of his brother. Not in the sense that it was long. But him nor his sister could ever remember how to pronounce it. He could barely even remember now. Lucky for them, a nickname could be made out of his name, like hers. And he was called Cain. She was the only other that he had come across with a long name, or one complicated to pronounce. And he was sure he was going to forget it. But he would surely not forget Padma.. Hopefully.

Stepping under the sheltered tree, he shook himself off some. But the bangs of his mane still stuck to his face. She tried to blow them away, but it was no use. So, all he could do was laugh about it. It was not unlike Ame to laugh at random things.. I mean, he laughs at his hair blowing in the wind.. He hadn't matured much.. But there was no harm in that! Looking back at the mare, he had forgotten to mention his name! How like him!

"Oh! My name is Ame, by the way." He nodded with a smile.

"You... you already told me your name." She couldn't decide whether to laugh or scoff at that and settled for a light chuckle. She left her head slightly tilted when talking to him, exposing the length of her neck before disappeared beneath her collar. She knew she had a lovely neck and now seemed like a good time to show it off.

"Now... are you going to get that mud off yourself or do I need to do it for you? There are plenty of leaves around to rub it off on." She scuffed a hoof through them and kicked some of them up into the air. "They're even still pretty dry."

She never got muddy on purpose but had walked through it enough to learn a few techniques for getting it out from her fur. Wet mud was annoying... but dried mud could be even worse.

(( Lol. I forgot he mentioned his name.. But that's okay. XD ))

Looking at Padma, suddenly all wide eyed, he couldn't remember that he had already mentioned his name. Even though it was just a minute ago. And this wasn't quite unlike him either. He could forget anything in a second after it just happened.. It has happened before. But it's been quite minimal as he grows more into his adulthood.. But it's still there. Suddenly just shrugging his shoulders about the whole thing, he said not a word. And just gave Padma the same smile.

Looking down at the mud gathering around his hooves, he didn't know if he wanted to get it off or not. Looking from the mud to Padma, and back to the mud. He tried to do as Padma said, but it didn't seem to be working with him. Looking back at the mare, he gave her a bit of a sadden look. Even though he didn't mind the mud, Padma seemed to. So, he at least wanted to try and get clean. But I suppose he wasn't used to getting the mud off him like this. And it just didn't seem to work for him...

"It's not coming off." He said in somewhat of a whine.

The pitiful and confused look that the stallion gave her brought a giggle from Padma. He was, in a word, adorable. All covered in mud and didn't even have the sense to know how to get it off... not to mention the matter of introducing himself twice. Had she ever met a stallion so absentminded? She didn't think so, but it was a fun change.

"Let me help you with that, then." She recognized some of the same maternal tones in her voice that her own mother often used and bit back irritation at that. She wasn't going to turn into her mother. This was entirely different.

With a practiced precision she brushed the dry leaves over to the stallion's hooves and then swept them against the mud. It began to fall off in flakes under her attention, revealing the golden hooves and fur beneath it.
