It was midday, and it was hot. Very hot. So the small golden lioness had decided that perhaps it was about time to take a bath. She'd found a nice, small stream. One that was large enough to be enjoyable, but not big enough to house crocodiles or angry hippos. So she was relaxed and content when she stepped into the cool, shallow water. Giggling softly, she decided to splash around a bit, wallowing in the water instead of really taking a bath.

Maji, as he most always was, happened to be snooping around the water that same day, smiling calmly as the spray from the stream cooled him from the midday heat. He'd been following the stream inland, away from the ocean where he normally spent his time for a change of scenery. It didn't take long at all for the giggling and splashing of someone nearby to reach his ears, at which point Maji became a little excitable and quickened his pace in curiosity.
"Hello there~?"

Ju blinked and looked over towards the bright blue lion. Smiled brightly, tail swishing excitedly as she raised a paw to wave. The female was a bit small for an adult, with large brown eyes and an obviously cheerful disposition.
"Hello there!" She stood, her fur dripping wet, with a bit of mud here and there. "Did you come to play in the water too?"

Maji was pleased to see that she hadn't become defensive and hostile, as some creatures tended to do when he tread near them. But no, this lioness looked even excited to see the big burly pushover., so with a cheery smile he walked a little closer to where Jumoke was playing in the water. Maji's tail wriggled behind him, as it did when he was in good spirits.
"I'd love to! If you don't mind, that is." He bowed his head lightly. "I wouldn't want to impose."

"Oh no, of course not!" She purred, beaming softly. "I'd love for you to join!" To emphasize this she splashed her paw into the water, causing a bit of water to fly towards him. The lioness giggled and danced around in a circle, causing water to coat her fur more.
She stopped after a moment and turned back to him, dripping. "My name is Jumoke!"

Maji chuckled at Jumoke and her cheery disposition, scrunching his nose as the cold water from her splash reached him.
"Well alright, if you insist..."
His previously soft expression turned into a sly smirk very quickly as he lunged forward and took a large, none too graceful leap towards the center of the stream, puffing out his cheeks and closing his eyes tightly, bracing himself before impact-- SPLOSH. Maji's large physique sent water cascading around him. While the water was still rippling, he poked his head above water and shifted his eyes around before wading to the shallows, dripping wet. There, he shook his pelt and heavy mane, again sending water everywhere, before looking goofily at Jumoke, grinning.
"I'm Imara'Maji," he bowed. "You can call me Maji though. It's a pleasure to meet you Jumoke!"

"I do insist! Come on!" She nodded, smiling at him. A soft squeal escaped her maw when he made a belly flop into the stream, causing water to tidal wave over her. She didn't mind of course, since she was already rather saturated. She just laughed louder and sat down in the middle of the water.
"It's nice to meet you, Maji!" Giggled, head tilting. "You really seem to like the water, don't you?"

Maji couldn't help but chuckle some at the lioness and her cheery disposition. Smiles were contagious, after all. With his fur sticking in every other direction, the lion nodded to Jumoke in reply to her question.
"Oh yes, very much. What's not to like?"
Tail wriggling behind his large figure, he took a few steps closer to Ju, sitting down in the water a few feet away from where she sat.
"You seem pretty fond of it yourself!"

Jumoke giggled and nodded vigorously, ears flopping a bit. "Yes! I really love water." Smiled, head tilting to the side as she paused. "Then again... I think I like pretty much anything that's fun! And water is fun." Nodded childishly. "I like pretending that I'm some kind of... lionfish or something! Or just splashing around is nice... And it's nice and cool too!"
