Lol I forgot the name of the episode. >_<; Sorry! But I thought we should make a discussion topic for it. Once someone reminds me of the name, I'll edit it.

I enjoyed the episode, myself. Lots of good character stuff for just about everyone. Leo's angsting seemed a lot more like angst than rage, and he actually explained what was wrong. THough I'm surprised Karai wasn't mentioned. Anyway, yeah. I actually laughed at that last joke Mikey told when they were telling jokes. They have no feet...haha. >_>;;

I would've enjoyed the episode more if they hadn't gone back to that freakin' city AGAIN. can't you come up with something more original? It's great you thought up a whole sunken city, but it kind of ruins it if every weird creature comes from there. =/ But other than that, I enjoyed the whole thing! Best episode of the season so far, in my opinion. Still not awesome, but it was good. I give it a three....out of five.

*L* I was going to start a discussion topic but I didn't get to see the whole episode so I couldn't do a summary and you did SUCH a good one the last time. *L* xd

I saw most of the ep, I just missed bits and pieces and I'll watch it later since I taped it while watching it. Personally I was just glad we got a reason for Leo's angst. Now I want to smack him upside the head, tell him "nobody's blaming you, you freakin' retard" and move on. Because y'know by now he's been angsting for some time and it really is becoming more and more self destructive, especially since it's not like he COULD have done anything!

*throws things at Leo*

Other than having to deal with Ryan mocking the entire episode I enjoyed it.

[edit] And I changed the subject for you, hope you don't mind. sweatdrop

I was in a bit of a rush while making this topic so I didn't have time to make a summary. <_>; I was gonna edit one in, but it dawns on me, I dont' remember all the details anymore. XD ALl I remember is they went on a camping trip, April swooned, they told some jokes, Leo explained that he felt terrible because he couldn't do anythign to stop Shredder without sacrificing his brothers and Splinter, they tried to nurse back a fish-chica to life, the fish dudes beat them up, the fish chica explained to April via MINDFREAK that they came from the Atlantis-place, because like the Avians they were slaves(LAME-O!!!) April also showed how the little fish-dudes would die from the nuclear power plant right outside the river, the turtles went to the lab to blow it up to keep the dam frome exploding, Casey magically materialized a bat, Don crossed some wires and BLEW UP THE COOLING TOWERS, and then the nuclear plant guys got served for not cleaning up the river.

*Deep breath*

I wanna see next week's episode! It looks good. If Hun survived, then maybe Leatherhead did too?! I hope so, Leatherhead is awesome.

I've seen next week's episode! xd And that's all I have to say about that.

Right now I'm in a really weird mood, and not a good kind of weird. Maybe that's why I'm feeling this way but I dunno... when Leo explained why he felt bad I really did just want to tell him to shut the ******** up.

They were in a ******** SPACESHIP! What could he have done? He can't do it all and he needs to get that through his thick head, he isn't Leonardo Saver of Worlds he's Leonardo the Ninja Turtle. His brothers aren't blaming him! He's being way too hard on himself and at this point it's heading towards self pity.

That's not the point though, I've made my feelings on the subject known already. My point is I see these Leo fans and they think it's perfectly reasonable and if I say anything otherwise I feel like maybe I'm not as "good" of a fan as they are. I dunno. No one has said that to me but it's how I feel.

Nothing good can come of angst and self pity. Sure we all do it sometimes, God knows I do, but Leo of all people should have the rational mind to know he is doing no one any good. I'm feeling less and less sorry for him and more angry that he is being so damn self centered that he isn't considering what this could mean for the rest of the team.

I won't get to see this until tomorrow due to an impromptu baseball game... blast. It sounds quite different from the comic, though.

I'm really wanting to read this comic now btw. It sounds... better.
PostPosted: Sat Oct 01, 2005 10:28 pm

Ah... I got to see this episode, fortunately. It was better than last week's episode, but still didn't put me on the edge of my seat. neutral

Overall, it was okay...Nice story and detailed characters. When the merlady died, it was somewhat stirring. And the conclusion brought the episode full-circle. 3nodding

To be honest w/ you guys, I'm getting bored of the mini-plots -- I've seen so many "fill-in" episodes that I lost focus on the real theme of the TMNT cartoon. What is the plot? What are the turtles' objectives now that the shredder is gone? And what happened to Master Splinter?

Isn't Splinter back at the farmhouse? And I'm assuming that for the second their goal is to relax, they don't really have one right now since they're out in the country and Shredder is gone.

Yeah, I'd rather have some sort of an overall plot going on, but maybe that's the plot of the no-plots.

That...the turtles don't know what to do with themselves now that they are free of the Shredder's REIGN OF TERRORR.

Well one can assume that starting next week they'll have a direction to go in. I mean we've seen Hun so yeah... there's always "No more Shredder, gotta stop Hun."

Come on, guys. It's only the start of the season. I don't think these episodes as "fillers". "Fillers" would be something like the "Gabarageman" or "Junklantis". The episodes we've been seeing so far this season has a definite storyline/plot, and as always continuation.

Think of it as like writing a story. You have to develop the characters, and introduce situations gradually. You can't just jump into a multi-part session right off the bat.

And for the record, we believe they're showing the episodes out of order. "Sons" would've come before "People's Choice" because they were just beginning their camping trip there. Don't ask me why they are doing this. confused

Yeah, it doesn't really make sense why they'd head back to the city then back to the farm.

And I also imagine that the overall plot may be very Purple Dragons-oriented this season. I dunno, I get the feeling Hun'll be important.

I finally saw it. What I give this episode points for, is it is one of the few that a character actually dies in.

The plot was about the same as the comic up until the part where the merdudes (lol) went into the water. In the comic, at that part, April simply notices that the mermen are the last 4 of their kind, just like the turtles, and it ends with the eagle from the beginning with a fish in its talon, sitting on the cooling tower.

Although the Itlantia (or whatever...) part wasn't in the comics, this part was not just totally deus ex. Remember way back when the Turtles met that female Itlantian, when she flashbacked on the species that lived on the island with them, not only were these creatures there, but the "green man"'s people, and the Avians as well. So they have had this part planned for quite a while.

Leo's anger is a bit more understandable now... but I'ld like to sock him a good one and tell him to knock it off. He totally took Raph's place as the brooder in that episode.

From what I hear of the next episode, it's a real weird experience...

hey i finally got to see the episode. again, not a bad episode...but nothing really to do with the main plot. i can understand the turtles need to rest and are in the country...but are the only "villains" creatures from centuries ago? rolleyes

and it wasn't as much a "Donny episode" as they made it out to seem last week.

anyway, i gave this episode 3 shells. there really was nothing wrong with it and it was pretty good...but let's get on with it already domokun

i say it's time to get back to the plot and next week's episode with Hun should do just that. but...i don't know about that weird creature dude. he better not also be from Atlantia whee
