Umicho lays along the shore of a large lake, her hind leg partially dunking in the cool water. The day had been rather uneventful though it was the perfect kind of day. The sun was out and it was in a cloudless sky. The temperature had been just right. Though it was a good day, there was no other lion around for miles that she knew. To find somebody she would have to leave her territory, and she could not risk getting into trouble. The sun hangs just above the horizon as it nears setting. She sighs to herself and wonders if every day will be as boring as this one had. She hoped not.
After the sun began to set, the sky turning a wide variety of reds and pinks, she stands and stretches, looking up at the sky with a smile. At least the sunset was beautiful tonight. She walks up a hill and sits on a tall rock looking around.

Jack Daniels flapped his wings harder as he sored through the evening sky. He loved being out this time of day. It was cool, and not much mosture was in the air. It made it easy for him to fly. He could go almost as long as his father around this time of night. He came to a slow speed, his feet touching down on the ground. He spred his wings out further and came to a stop. He pulled his wings to his body and started walking his large paws leaving prints on the ground. What was he going to do now?
He let out a small chuff as he walked, he didn't want to get in trouble for being on some one elses land. He looked up as he didn't hear any responce and kept on going letting out a small sigh as his eyes followed toward the setting sun then he picked up his pace again.

Umicho smiles as the colors of the sunset fill the sky. As she had grown she had always loved to watch the sun set. She sees something move in the corner of her eye so she turns her head. For a moment she sits there mouth agape. A lion with wings? Her curiousity gets the best of her as she jumps down off the rock and walks toward the lion. She realises it is a male, about her age maybe. Her tail swishes behind her in excitment as she approuches him. "Hello there."

Jack Daniel blinked as he heard another voice. He really didn't notice the female at first. He stopped walking then turned toward her looking her over for a moment, she looked like she was the same age as himself. He smiled at her then bowed to her, his manners like his fathers. He then nodded. "Hello there. What is your name?" He asked softly with a smile on his face.

Umicho smiles warmly. This lion seemed very kind to her. "My name is Umicho. What is yours?" She nods her head instead of doing a full bow, not used to such things. She had to pretty much raise herself, so a social life was not her strong point.

Jack smiled slightly at the female, he wasn't expecting a bow, he was just formal that way. He flicked his 'mini' mane out of his eyes then nodded. "That is a nice name Umicho. My name is Jack Daniel but you can call me Jack. Thats what most of my family calls me." He smiled slightly then looked around. "I'm just interested but what are you doing out here alone? I don't see many females around here alone." He nodded slightly. "Just curious." He said with another nod.

Umicho returns the smile, sitting down feeling a little tired. "I live here with Aradel. He's kind of a father figure though we aren't related. He's off sleeping somewhere...he's a lazy lion." She rolls her eyes as she uses her claws to brush through the purple hair on her head gently. "I'm by myself out here often. I love the water and I'm normally alone. Nobody is really ever around to hang out with."

Jack nodded to her. "Ahh. Thats pretty nice of him to take care of you." He nodded slightly with a small smile. "My grandmother used to take in a lot of cubs but since she spilt with my grandpa she really hadn't been taking that many in, she's been helping my mother take care of me. Then with that he shook his head slightly aand then sighed. "Itss not good to be out here by yourself if its dangerous some times." He said shaking his head slightly once more. He didn't know how others lived out here by himself. He felt protected though most of the time, with his wings and the large family that was here.

She looks at the lion infront of her, still very curious about his wings. When he mentions danger she just stands and smiles. "I am not sure what you do Jack, but I've always cared for myself pretty much. I have no family that I know of. For all I know they could be..." She cuts off there, pain showing in her blue eyes. She truly had never met her family...Aradel was the only one that was even close to a father for her.

Jack blinked a few times then shook his head, he felt a little bad for her. He looked up and sighed before smiling lightly. "Well atleast you have some one to take care of you." He shrugged then spread out his wings some before folding them neatly agaisnt himself. He grinned slightly at her then shook out his 'mane'. He then bit his lip. "I hope your family is fine and you get to run into them again." He nodded then looked around.

She just looks up at the other lion in front of her for a moment, then smiles softly. "Thank you Jack. I don't know if i will...but i hope so." She stands and slides her claws through her hair in semi thought. "So, what are you out here for? Going to hunt or swim?"

Jack smiled and nodded to her first comment. "Your welcome. It really must be hard not knowing your family, I have a gigantic one and I don't know what I'd do without them." He nodded then when she started to talk once more his attetion was back on her. "Oh? Me? I'm out here just to be out." He nodded then smiled lightly. "I really don't get out that much away from my family so here I am." He shrugged.

She stretches a little. "I really like your wings. Why do you have them?" She sort of chose to change the topic to a more cheerful one, and she was still interested in this lion's wings.

Jack blinked a few times but then laughed looking back at his yellow wings then back at her with a grin. "Oh! My father has them and I got them from him. One of my other brothers also have them." He grinned proudly and then puffed out his chest with a grin, he was very proud of his wings. Except when he crash landed.

"They are beautiful wings." She walks closer looking closer at them, circling around him. She then stops in front of him smiling. "What is it like to fly? It must be amazing." Thinking to herself she wishes she could fly just once in her life. How fun it would be.
