Here is the field manual for all rules of this guild. Failure to follow them will lead to immediate disciplinary action. Remember: I'm watching you...
Barton Army Spamming Policy
(Ratified 8 August 200 cool
It has come to my attention that spamming has become a minor problem that I would like to have extinguished before it gets out of hand. I don't know why people would spam, but I think it's to make their post count look good when Judgement Day comes around again. Let it be known that needless spamming will not be tolerated in this guild. Spamming is classified as:
*Posting something completely off-topic for no reason whatsoever
*Posting with no intent to contribute to the conversation of the topic
*Bumping your own thread just to keep it alive
Spamming is different in derailment in that:
*Derailment is defined as the posting of relevant information along with extra information that eventually leads to the thread being off-topic
*People who derail are often acknowledged and others know it is a joke and are not taken seriously
Anyone who spams will be warned. This warning counts as a minor infraction and will be considered with other minor infractions. A total of 3 minor infractions will cause in you being put before a court-martial.
For those of you who read the other one and are wondering why this is here, thank you for reading the other one. Apparently, few people read around here or click on things they know they should check in, so I figured it safe to put it where they're most likely to be so they can see it.
Barton Army TOS Enforcement Policy
(Ratified 29 August 2008, Amended 1 January 2009)
Attention all enlisted and commissioned personnel:
It has come to the attention of several senior officers that discussions found to be in breach of the Gaia ToS have taken place around the guild. In an attempt to stifle such conversation and ToS breeches, the following actions will be taken.
Anyone found to be in serious contempt having made unacceptable, discretionable, and explicitly offensive comments for the sake of insulting the beliefs of others will be held in high contempt and court-martialed at the next available convenience of the Supreme Commander General Ember Anderson. Also possible presiding over the court martial are Colonel Rachel 'Doc' Martin' and myself, Colonel Chang Wang.
Barton Army Mule Denial Policy
(Ratified 16 June 2009)
Attention all enlisted and commissioned personnel:
It has come to the attention of myself that the entrance of mules into the Army has created much clutter of the general roster. To combat this, from this point on, personal mules are not allowed within the guild.
A personal mule is defined as:
*Any account used by another Gaia online user as their own personal secondary account
Guild mules, however, are still allowed as they are recognized as vital components of interguild diplomacy and occasionally actual guild work.
A guild mule is defined as:
*Any account created for the purpose of 'banking' or maintaining external guild matters, such as the keeping of plans, guild donations, etc.
