Kuyoja was busy working with the equipment as he set it up for his next class with the young poison arrow frog named Nibal. He had a balance beam set up for the student to learn how to balance himself on narrow things. Of course his sticky toes would be very helpful for this situation but he also had narrower and narrower beams set up. He would start with the widest one first and then they would work their way down.

He had noticed that the child ha d requested another melee class and though it hadn't been in a continuation of the Shinobi-iri technique he felt that Nibal held great promise in this technique and thus volunteered to hold his class. He had a few more activities set up. He also wondered if the child had gotten the work sheet done that he had assigned him from the last class.

Nibal headed down the hallway to the classroom, a very crumpled piece of paper in his hand. He hoped the teacher wouldn't get too mad that he hadn't finished the assignment. The boy glanced at Kal, who snorted. She knew where they were going and didn't seem exactly thrilled with her boy learning how to sneak around more.

"Ah, here's the room." Nibal opened the door, peering about the room curiously. Kal almost tripped him as she shoved her way in and he gave the green a pat on the head. "Ah, Mr. Tsuzuki. I tried to do my homework from last time... but my dad got mad at me scaring him all of the time... and my sister did too." He handed over the partially completed assignment, names and times scrawled across the page until a note towards the bottom from Peri conscerning his thoughts on the 'assignment'. Peri hadn't found the homework funny... "My dad told me I couldn't try scaring other people..."

Kuyoja turned as he heard his student enter, he looked Nibal over and then too the crumpled note being offered to him. He hadn't intended Nibal to scare people it was meant to be stealthy.

He bowed towards the green dragon formally as he always showed great respect to the creatures.

"It is alright, it looks as if you attempted to perform your duty and that is what counts." He concluded as he took the slip of crumpled paper from the boy and then attached it to his clipboard.

"Today we will be working one you balance. I will want you to practice your balance on these beams. We will be starting with the thickest one...and progress onto the thinner ones. I will be timing you and once you have gotten to a time I believe is satisfactory will will progress."

Nibal relaxed visibly. He'd been afraid he'd fail because he'd scared his family too much. It wasn't HIS fault that they didn't notice him sneaking up on them until he tapped them on the shoulder... Of course, he'd also practiced sneaking about on the ceiling, so...

"Balance?" The boy eyed the beams. Some of them looked really narrow... and his feet weren't exactly small... But hey, he'd try. He liked this teacher, after all. Ranked right up there with Mr. Solon.

He nodded his head moving towards one of the balance beams motioning for the boy to follow.

"Yes, most students who take up this skill become assassins at least in the ancient times they did. Thus they required quite a few skills. Balancing was one of them. I would like you to walk across this balance beam as fast as you are able to without falling off. I will be timing you. If you fall you must start back at the beginning. " He concluded as he picked up a stop watch from his clip board as well a pencil to jot down the frogs time.

"Whenever you are ready."

Nibal followed along after the teacher, though Kal plopped herself onto the floor near the door and looked as if she wasn't going to budge for anything. Nibal stepped onto the first beam that the man gestured to, his eyes running along the length of it. This one wasn't too bad. It was wide enough for him to be fairly comfortable with it, at least.

The boy wiggled his toes for a moment, then started across at a quick walking pace. He was rushing too much, though, and had to slow himself down about a third of the way along when he nearly fell. Frowning a bit, he continued on at a rather slower rate, but managed to get to the end without falling off.

Having completed this task, he glanced over at the teacher.

When Nibal finished the length of the beam he stopped the stop watch with a click and then looked back up to Nibal with a nod of his head.

"Your time could be better, but how did that feel to you? Was it hard? Did you find it easy?" He asked even though he had paid attention he wanted his student to move at his own pace not rush him along.

"Do you think you can move to the next beam?" He continued looking down to the narrower balance beam.

"Not all that hard... but not as easy as I'd thought." Nibal answered after a moment's thought. He glanced at the next beam and nodded. "I can try." He grinned and headed over to the one in question, eying it for a few moments to take in the width difference.

Kal was getting interested in the class after seeing Nibal's close fall. This could be fun to watch! She grinned and kept her eyes on the blue frog boy.

Kuyoja nodded his head moving to shift the matts around the narrower beam before waving for Nibal to come over.

"This beam is about 3 inches narrower than the last one. Take your time, I don't want to see you fall but if you feel you are going to try and land on your back. The matts will cushion your fall." He explained as he then stepped back to allow Nibal to try the narrower beam. He jotted down his students first time on the wider beam before resetting his watch.

"When your ready I will start the timer." He explained.

Three inches looked like a lot more when your feet were going to be traveling on it! Nibal started off slower this time, traveling part of the beam before he picked up the speed a bit. This wasn't too hard... though his time was probably slower than the first beam. Feeling that, the boy began to rush more towards the end and lost his balance.

As he fell, he remember the teacher's instructions and tried to turn to his back, though he landed more on his side than back. Kalseru gave a draconic laugh from where she'd nestled herself for the class.

Stopping his watch he moved over in a hurried manner to check on his student. He looked down at Nibal to make sure nothing was broken, before jotting the time down after a moment.

"You rushed at the end. A good spy always takes their time. It takes practice to get the speed. Now lets try this one again. Once you get across if you are up for it we can try the narrower beam." He continued offering his student a hand up.

Nibal was fine and was actually grinning up at the teacher before getting up. "Yeah... okay." He got up on his own and back on the balance beam again. He didn't want to accidentally poison his teacher... though the man surely knew about his ability. The frog boy grinned and waited to make sure that the teacher was ready for him to start.

Despite being knowledgeable the teacher had a bad habit of helping others even if it put him ni risk. He was glad to see that Nibal was alright though made a mental note to bring gloves next time he taught the boy.

He positioned himself back agani to watch his student readying his timer as he nodded his head indicating he could start.

Nibal started off quicker than he had the last time, but made sure to keep his speed steadier. There was a slight misstep about halfway across, but he'd regained his balance fairly quickly. That had rather disappointed Kal, but Nibal didn't seem to notice as he finished and turned to grin at his teacher.

Clicking the timer as the boy finished he nodded his head and then jotted down the time.

"Much better. Of course your time is nearly doubeled from the first beam you were on. Did you wish to to attempt the narrower beam? Even for fun? We can then continue practicing on the mid beam until your time is better." he encouraged his student to try the narrowest beam he had. It was nearly halved from the mid sized one. Very narrow indeed.
