The little goddess had wandered far from home, far from the ocean where she had learned of things she never dreamed. None of it had led her to find her father. The cursed creature that he was, she needed to find him. Her life was depending on it, and day by day she could feel a slight tug from the curse marking that more into her shoulder. It was an irritating throb that always existed. She did not know what it was meant to do, but it felt like it was holding her back. She couldn't ask her mother, as being near her had given her enough grief growing up. Hopefully the goddess would be able to contain her powers, but for now it would run rampant through her body.

Her face flickering an illusion of different fearful things, she finally shoved her face itno the dirt, pawing around at her ears. "Rrrrg," she grumbled through the ground. She was normally a creature of little emotions, but as time wore on she seemed to only grow frusterated in her search for answers. Life did not seem to be playing her a fair hand.

Pulling her head up from the ground, she sulked as she looked around with her solid black eyes. Different from appearance, she could see perfectly fine, even if none could tell where she was looking exactly if she didn't move her head. She stuck her chin out in a pout, pulling herself to rest at the base of a large baobab tree. It reached out to the sky above her, but the goddess paid little attention. She just hoped that she'd blend in somewhat. Mortals didn't like her, and she didn't really want to deal with one right now. All she was good for was scaring them away, anyway.

Much like the younger Goddess' eyes, Posca's were a solid, almost pearlesant black. They reflected light like a pool of oil might, black with a swirl of rainbow here and there. And like Kituko, she could see quite well. Posca walked across the savannah slowly, her large wings tucked against her back.

She wondered, sometimes, why she even bothered to come down to this mortal plane... In the end it always depressed her. Made her long for things that couldn't be. The goddess glanced down at the ground in front of her, watching the grass start to brown from her mere presence. Her frown deepened, causing foul smelling oil to drip from the edge of her mouth. She longed to stop and smell the flowers, as cliche' as that may be. But something like that was something that she couldn't control. And in the end, she was forced to live with it.

The goddess was thrown from her thoughts when she felt a slight flutter on the back of her neck. Her short fur was standing on end, and she felt... afraid? She blinked past the affects, her eyes shifting to look over at the tree the cub had taken refugee under. For now she just stared, not wanting to approach the tree in fear of decaying it.

The little goddess had let her mind swirl in a pool of self pity mixed with anxiety. What were these emotions? She had no idea what they were or what they were doing to her. If only her mother was around to ask. Dear mother, whom she knew was afraid of her at some times.

"Huh?" She heard something out there. Her head popping up instantly, she glanced around trying to see what it was. She rubbed at her eyes, the irritation from the colour oozing out and onto her face distracting her. "Uuggh, can't seeee." Her eyes watered at the irritation as her tail trashed behind her in anger. Blasted curse! Why did Father have to curse her so? She hadn't realized it until later, but if she had known that he was her father, would things have turned differently?

And then she saw her.

Kituko's eyes felt sticky with the salty tears, but she could see those wings from far away. A goddess! The girl scrambled to her paws, her cursed limb protesting at the sudden movement. Kituko watched carefully before approaching. A few steps here, then a pause. Maybe some steps to the left, and she would pause again. Kituko knew better than to run up to strange gods. If you weren't careful, they might attack you, as her limb surely showed.

The larger goddess remained still, no part of her body moving. Not even her massive wings. The twisted black branches that were cursed to wrap around her legs shifted though, as if they were truly separate from her body. They constantly darkened and thrashed slightly, as if in pain.

"You do not have to fear me, child." The irony of that statement was beyond her, but it was obvious that the younger deity was cautious of her. Her voice was soft and gentle, only slightly distorted by the oil that constantly bubbled from her throat. Finally her body moved. It coiled and uncoiled until she had gracefully placed herself onto the ground. The large wings were tucked against her side, attempting to make herself seem smaller and therefore less imposing. She did not wish to make the cub uncomfortable.

"Come. Sit beside me... Are you lost, little one...?"

Kituko froze when she heard the goddess speak. Her ears swiveled forward for a moment, taking in all that she had said. She paused, letting her mind wrap around the options of what she could do. Moments passed, but finally she took a few more steps forward, if shyly.

She lowered her head as she approached, her feathered-bat wings spread around her protectively. She hobbled closer, her ears slowly situating back to their normal position against her skull. Kituko feared nothing but perhaps death, as she had been so close to it once before. She was unaware of the face that she could be reborn if she was killed.

She inched towards the goddess, intrigued by her look but not frightened by them. "Not quite lost," she replied softly, "but I do not know where to go."

Kituko felt a twinge of guilt for being so cautious, but she did not want another odd curse laid upon her. She didn't think she would survive another one. "And I apologize. I do not fear you, but I am...overly cautious now."

"I see." She said softly, gently. A few drops of oil fell to the ground as she nodded, her dark eyes still watching her. Now laying down, her back legs were rested at her side, and her front paws out in front of her. The branches creaked slightly from the movement, but quickly settled against her and were still.

"I don't blame you..." She added, eyes heavy with emotion. "I do not blame you at all. Perhaps it is wise, for someone so young..." Her pointed ears fanned forward, and a sad smile twitched at her lips. "I am Decay... You may call me Posca. Do you know where you're trying to go, or are you traveling without a goal in mind? I may be able to help you... I have roamed these lands for many years."

Kituko watched, though careful to not look like she was staring. She had never seen another god that had an appearance that lightly mirrored her own. Her family was what she liked to consider 'normal', or 'good'. She had come out differently, though she certainly did not blame her mother for it at all. Things happened. This was just conforting knowing that she wasn't the only one with a spookish look.

A slight smile crossed her face, but it soon faded. It was difficult for her to smile. A stoic expression was very common for her.

"Fear," she said softly. Fear touched all, even the immortals. She herself had felt it when she thought she was going to die. "My name is Kituko." She curtsied a bit, spreading out her wings respectfully. "I'm looking for my father..." She lifted her wing from her right shoulder, exposing a deep red gem that swirled with magic as it pulsed through the black markings that danced around it and on her forelimb [hard to explain, sorry!].

"I might die if I don't break this curse," she said quietly, her voice shaken. "Do you...know anything about curses?"

The older goddess shifted closer, her wings twitching as she bent her head down to observe this curse. She stared for a few moments in silence, her empty eyes blinking slowly. Finally she leaned back, ears twitching almost curiously.

"I am sorry, dear thing... But I have never seen a curse like that before..." She sat again, her large wings pressed against her back while the tips dragged the ground. "You say... your father did that to you..." Her voice was almost piting...

"Who is your father?"

Kituko's ears drooped slightly in disappointment, but she reminded herself of her manners. She knew that her quest would not be an easy one, but regardless she had held out much hope that it wouldn't be as strenuous as initially determined. Pushing her sadness aside, she nodded her head towards the older goddess. "I understand. Thank you, though." A thin smile appeared on her lips.

If possible, her eyes grew a touch darker. "I do not know. All I know is that he is Chaos, red as blood and wings as black as midnight with no moon." Her brows furrowed in anger, a surge of emotion she rarely felt. "I hope to confront him about this curse, if I cannot find another to help me."

She softened her gaze as she glanced at the goddess. "I don't supposed there's a chance you know about him, even in pure rumor?"

Posca shifted a bit, her eyes going a bit more distant as she thought. She was old, and had met many gods, or at least heard of them... Unfortunately her mind was not what it used to be, and she had more trouble remembering things now a days.

But there was something, something from a long time ago... Rumors of a god that created chaos, and destroyed lives and prides for the mere fun of it, to watch it all unfold...

After a moment of searching her memory she nodded, frowning. "I remember... a while back... Hearing about a God by that description that destroyed a pride. Or... something to that matter..." She shook her head slowly, eyes closing. "I'm afraid it's just a rumor though, more of a legend... I have not met him, and I do not know where this pride was suppose to be at. I know that does not help you, and I'm sorry, little one."

Kituko's ears perked forward, listening intently. Every bit of detail would be useful in some aspect, she was certain of it. She let her mind absorb the little that was spoken, commiting it to memory. She would reflect on what had been given her on her quest frequently, that was for certain.

With a nod, she thanked the goddess for her information. "Rumor or legend, there must bebe a grain of truth within it. Anything is better than nothing, and it will offer me a lead. I've wandered for a while with no goal; you've given me that much."

She folded her wings tightly to her sides, feeling a renewed sense of purpose. She would certainly become distracted in her journey, but she had more to go by now. More than a thin description of her father and enemy.

"Thank you, Posca." A small, but warm smile was offered to the pale purple female.

Kituko felt that she had gotten the information she had wanted from the goddess. Hoping to not seem rude, she closed her eyes as she again nodded to the other. "I hope to not seem rude, but I should continue on my way. Until I know more about this curse, I don't know how much time I have to spare. If there's anything I can do for you, though, even with my small size, I will gladly repay you. Now, or in the future."

Posca smiled softly, nodding her the smaller goddess. She had feared that her words would only bother the child more, but she was pleased to see that she was unphased. And in fact, she looked even more determined.

"I am glad to be of service, dear one. I hope you find your father, and get rid of that curse..." She nodded, her eyes drifting down to the odd red orb. For a moment she pondered what sort of father would do that to their child... Well, he was the God of Chaos, it seemed. He must be truely evil...

"Good luck... And do not worry about repaying me... I would give you more if I knew how. You are not rude at all, hurry on and save yourself." She nodded and pushed herself to her feet, wings fluttering as she prepared to leave as well.

Though distressed, the young goddess dismissed her feelings. Perhaps in the future, she would be of some assitance. If not, she would let herself find Posca again to offer her more thanks. It seemed that she needed to merely gather information on her father before determining how to approach him with her curse. Posca had started the information, and Kituko needed to merely follow the trail that would lead her to him.

"Thank you for the kind words. I will find you again in the future, if all comes well." She stretched her wings out again, offering a slight bow before taking her leave. It was a little awkward, as Kituko was one who rarely flew. Instead, she trotted off, her body disappearing into a thin veil of smoke; the one trait she had recieved from her father, but did not know about. She was closer to him than she had realized.
