This roleplay isn't really original, but wait! Before you spasm, calm down and read on. There's a manga set to be sold in the U.S. On October the..(Seventh?) called Nora: The Last Chronicle of Devildom. I read a 60 page preview in the October edition of Shonen Jump and was instantly hooked. Whether the story is intended yaoi, I do not know, but the story is screaming for beautiful yaoi attention <3 I've read 60 pages, I've included a summary. Therefore, not having read the sixty pages is a terrible excuse not to at least consider this roleplay because it's based on an amazing manga <3 (which is also scheduled for a 2009 U.S. anime release)
The premise of the story is a rowdy, uncontrollable demon named Nora, (based on Nora-Inu - stray dog in Japanese) also known as the Hound of Hell, Cerberus. He is more powerful even than the Dark Liege (a skeletal, horned three-eyed monster thing that is a female and is the ruler of Hell) After insulting the rather vain Dark Liege, calling her ugly, she sends him to the human world as punishment to be a familiar to a human. A demon can be a familiar to either a human, who then posesses all of the demon's powers, or to a more powerful demon.
The powers are given to Kazuma, a brilliant, athletic student who is the president of student council. He is described as cool and calculating, and worse than a demon when angered. (He has a REALLY short temper.) Kazuma is a loner, but more aggressive since while he is alone, he doesn't hide out. (Obviously-being that he is student council president) He takes his job very seriously, has a motto about doing only what suits him, and pretty much just doing what he wants. He is also insanely bored with life, which has just been given excitement in the form of Nora.
Nora lands in front of him and they are told by the Dark Liege that Nora is now Kazuma's familiar, and Nora can use his powers only when Kazuma holds out his marked hand and says 'I approve'. Meanwhile, he can say 'I forbid' and a collar around Nora's neck tightens so that he either cannot use magic, or gets choked so that he can't do something silly like strangle the 'wimpy human' Kazuma. She has given Nora to Kazuma for the time being for 'obedience training' and due to his ears and name, Kazuma refers to him as a dog. Ex: Calling him a mutt, a dog, telling him that he is going to give Nora obedience training, baring fangs references, jerking Nora's collar and whatnot.
The Dark Liege also wants help with a little problem. Criminal, outlaw demons are escaping into the human world and attacking them. (Which is not allowed!) She wants Kazuma to help Nora fight them off, and he initially declines since he says it's not in his best interest. But after fighting one such monster he agrees to both help the monster and train the 'mutt'.
~This is where the story begins, they will have just fought the monster and Kazuma (you) is taking Nora to his home for the first time. (you can decide if he lives alone or with parents, Kazuma is Tenyro Academy Middle School) which..not sure how that works, since Kazuma is clearly in high school at least, both in looks, school layout, and activities. So maybe it's a combined school or some such something..either way, for our purposes it is most definately a high school <3~
~The story will include 'obedience training', falling in love, kicking outlaw demon arse, maybe Kazuma becoming a demon for a bit. (Nora is technically human without his powers, which are currently in Kazuma's possession. Though he has more speed, stamina, strength ect..than a human would) this isn't all that will happen, or even that has to happen, merely a guideline.~

Personality: Tempermental, stubborn, bossy, fierce, intelligent, aggressive, glares or gives cold looks a lot. (You don't have to follow this exactly, but this is how his character is)

Powers: Has all of Nora's magic powers but cannot use them. He simply controls whether Nora can use them or not. "I approve" allows Nora to use a spell, "I forbid" makes it either so that he cannot, or he is choked by his collar until he calms down.

(In the way that Inuyasha is RARR but a goofball from time to time. If you don't know who that is, then nevermind me saying that <3)
Biography: Was apparently forced to serve in the army of the Dark Liege.
