Description of Territory: This coalition lives on the beaches to the south of the human settlement. The place is quite pleasant and sunny, but if you're a human you'd have to get across the river or trek through the rainforests to get to it. Therefore, very few people are around, making it a good place for Palu to live in saftey.
There are some rocky outcrops that litter the edge of the shore, varying in sizes. The larger ones might contain an enterance to a labrynth of sea caverns underground. Most of these are accessable underwater, but a few can be reached from the surface. And there's only one well hidden enterance that's big enough for a human to fit through, that's only shown to someone that have proved themselves as a friend.
Inside the caverns are shiny rocks and crystals that catch any ray of light and magnify them to dimly light the place. These stones and gems aren't valuable at all, but they're still pretty to look at. Some Palu also place human trinkets, shells, and other things found outside around, just to decorate the place further. In the higher levels, there are some holes in the ceilings that can let even more light in. It's very damp inside, since it's underground and close to the ocean. The danger of flooding caverns is possible in large rainstorms, but smaller ones usually drain out into the ocean. And there is a possibility of cave-ins, but they are few and far in between.
There are some parts of the caverns that have thick moss (or fungi? It's hard to say) covering every inch of the floor and parts of the walls. These rooms are used for nurseries, so the kits won't hurt themselves when playing, or they can be slept in when the weather prevents sleeping outside.
The larger rooms can be used in storing food, since the temperature is cool enough to preserve them. The largest room has a large boulder in the center and the crystals here are extra bright, making it the place where leaders can announce things or have meetings.
Smaller rooms usually don't have a specific purpose. Some of them are given to exceptional and/or higher ranking Palu as private quarters, and the others can be used to just hang around and chill.
Outside, Palu can either have fun in the sand, swim around in the sea, or romp around in the jungle near the outskirts. The borders don't extend very far into it, since there are predators that lurk in the rainforest, but there's enough plants and berries close by to not need to. There are also some vines and softer rocks found here that can be used for crafting things if desired, not to mention there are shells, driftwood, and other such resources along the beach.
Something special/unique to this coalition: It's pretty much a group of Palu that want to have fun together. There isn't any discrimination in terms of age, colors, gender, or attunement, but party poopers or mean Palu should keep out. They also will have to not mind being near the water, since they're situated next to the ocean and everything. Domestic Palu are allowed to join, but they can't bring their humans along.
The coalition primarily works/hunts/gathers during the morning and day, to use the sunlight wisely. During the night however, everyone can stop with what they're doing and head to the nearest party area. If there's nice weather outside, they will often be found on the beach. If it's raining, they'll take everything inside the caverns. Smaller parties can be going on simutaneously, with Palu drifting between them, or there could be one big party with everyone having fun there. Parties usually consist of everyone playing games, talking, and making friends. It's the coalition's bonding time if you will.
There are some nights where nobody parties and continues working. This is usually the case in which there's a shortage of food and they need every second they can get, or there's a diaster and they must do everything they can to recover. This is a pretty rare case however. So yeah.
There isn't a definite class structure. Everyone's free to do whatever they wish, but if there's a need for one kind of job, random Palu might be drafted into it temporarily. Everyone is equal in terms of power, except the leaders. The leaders have final voice in everything if a decision can't be made in time, and they have the power to exile others. This requires a consent from all the leaders though, in case one becomes corrupt or etc. If a leader wants to step down, they will usually have to appoint another leader in their place.
Any intruders will be invited to join the coalition, or chased out if the first impression is that they don't look like they want to/would be welcomed. New members are treated with some caution, but it's encouraged to interact with them so they don't feel lonely and leave.
Babies are welcome, provided that they would be able to fit into the coalition well. If it looks like one or two might not, they are asked but not required to leave. Too many sour non-partying Palu from breedings won't be good after all. If someone mates from outside the coalition, they are encouraged to have them join this one, or leave to join the other. Again, it's not required, but the coalition is not at fault if the parent starts becoming depressed or anything. In-coalition breedings are highly recommended.
Oh yeah. And they like shiny things. Stealing things from the humans, searching for shells along the shore, and making crude jewelry is not uncommon.
