 "Hm hm hm hmmmm. Hm hmm hmmmmm." -Soft melodic hums filled the air as the young leotah skipped her way away from the trees. She'd been following a bird that morning, through the jungle, further and further from home. But when she spotted the strange change from treed paradise to grass filled ocean Peremende had stopped, turning her attention there instead.
How'd that happen? It was so sunny and warm here? She liked it she thought! And humming and skipping she continued to explore fearlessly.-

Chinedu was moving to a beat of his own, having just heard a song that his father had sang. He jumped along old logs and rocks, bounding off of them to moving to a rhythm all his own.
He found himself out of his father's protective gaze but he didn't mind. He knew how to get back to him. Just a little roar and he'd be right there. Gazing about the sunny area he grinned to himself until he spotted another feline.
Someone his age?! With a grin he approached her, his tail flickering with interest. "Hi!" He called at the leotah. "Whatcha doin?"

-She'd been engulfed in inspecting everything as she made her way through the grasses. It was so different! For one thing, some of the grasses were SO tall she couldn't even see over them, nothing like that occurred in the jungle. Interesting as that was however, she clung to the shorter grasses giving her a view of the sky . . and the the tree . . and the cub.
Cub? Her eyes flashed back to the young lion just as he noticed and spoke to her, taking him in with soft interest. She'd seen leopards, she'd seen cheetahs, and she'd of course seen the strange mix her and her siblings made of the two. But this thing was new. Why did he have hair at the end of his tail? She inspected him for another moment, before finally stepping forward, greeting him with her usual affectionate behavior, nuzzling her cheek against his side, just as she did to her father.- "Hello you"
-Glancing back up to him, she smiled matter of factly.- "I'm just seeing the world."

Chinedu stared at the new female with a bit of puzzlement. She was different then the other animal's he'd come across. He couldn't really figure out what she was supposed to be. He didn't very well want to confuse her for a leopard if she wasn't. She didn't look like a cheetah at least not completely. He'd only seen leopards in passing and none of their cubs.
His blue eyes widened as he ducked way from her, ears back. "Ah um... Hi..." He voiced again, a small blush showing through his white fur. She was sure... friendly.
The last part made him tilt his head, his mane falling to one side. "Seeing the world? Don't you see it everyday?" He asked with a smile of his own, still embarrassed. "Or are you seeing it different today?"

-He seemed scared? That was sort of strange... Softly a purr rumbled through her, as if trying to comfort him. When on of her sisters got scared or hurt, they'd all curl together and purr. It was contagious somehow, and by the end they'd all be purring.
She debated between sitting and standing, making a full loop as her long tail trailed behind her. A silly little smile touching her maw as his question sounded, her answer back coming out rather matter of fact.- "Usually I see the jungle. Today though I'm seeing the world. Or atleast this place that isn't the jungle. Is it called something? Do you live here?"

The purr made him take a few steps back. Was she trying to roar? Sure as Hell didn't sound like it. None of the animals he stayed with ever purred. The two cheetah's with the capability would never do such a thing.
He watched her loop around trying to decide on a position. "Oh... well I guess that is true..." He kept his ears flattened then shook his head. "Well I travel everywhere... we don't live in one place but this place of tall grass and open fields is called the savannah. My father tells me that alone it can be dangerous."
He glanced at her again and gave a small smile. "Not to be rude but... are you a leopard? I've never seen a leopard cub."

-The flattened ears were mildly troublesome, but the male cub continued to speak friendly enough, so Peremende finally settled, comfortably a length or so away, tail curling around her paws.-
"Savannah" -She tested the word softly, pleased with the pretty ring of it. Pausing softly when she heard the mild warning, before nodding matter of factly with the 'logic' about to touch his ears.- "Dangerous? It's good I'm not alone then. I'll need to stick near to you. Father would be pretty angry if he knew I was in danger."
-His smile caused another sweet one to errupt from her, and as his question sounded, she seemed more amused then anything else. Certainly it wouldn't be too much for her to ask what he was then.- "Kinda."
"Half I suppose." -She giggled, batting sweet eyes at him.- "My momma is a cheetah and my papa is a leopard. So I'm both and neither."
"My sister calls us something.. umm.. hy... hy-bread. Something like that."
-Eyes falling to his tail gently, she motioned softly to the tuft at the end.- "Did you hurt your tail?"

He seemed to puff out with pride, his ears rising. "Well I am pretty strong. My father teaches strength! Your father?" He lifted his head and glanced around. "Where is he?"
"Half? I never heard of that before..." He looked at her with new interest. Looking her over. She did kind of look like a cheetah. He chanced to get closer to her. "So are you really fast? Or can you climb trees? I can kinda but dad said I won't be able too for long."
He glances down at it looking for any kind of wound. "Huh?" He asks then flicks it. "You mean that?" He asks touching the tuft with a paw. "Oh no! That's my tail tuft! Its like... a mane for my tail!" He responded with a small laugh. He was becoming less shy of her.
"I'm Chinedu. What's your name?"

"Back home in the jungle I think." -As he puffed, so cooed softly, praising him silently with a knowing nod. He did in fact look strong and big. Perhaps it was just part of being a lion, but to her he did look far larger and stronger then her many sisters.
Pere streched out at the inspections, tail unraveling, paws streching out one by one, as she pondered over his questions with a giggle.- "Well I don't know... I don't run very often. But I can climb trees. Just not too high or it gets a little scary."
"A tail mane?" -Her eyes widened softly, awe radiating from her. She often thought of how much she'd like a pretty tuft of hair on her head like daddy. But now he had both a head AND tail one! How lucky.
Her paw reached out delicately in an attempt to touch the fluffy looking tuft.- "I'm Peremende! Pleasure to meet you Nyack."

"Oh, the jungle?" He lifted his head and looked around. He really hoped she didn't get in trouble being so far from home.
He shows his teeth in a light grin. "My dad said cheetahs are the fastest runners and leopards are the best climbers! I bet you can do both really good! Yah I got stuck once when I was little." He says flattening his ears slightly.
"Pretty cool, huh?" He asked lifting his head in pride. When she touches it he flicks it lightly and smiles. "So uh.. wanna play?"
(LOL I have no idea why I put Nyack. Its Chinedu. He looks too much like his dad. :3 )

((Whoopsie. XD Sometimes I mess around my vowels in my characters names. XD Ecspecially the chars that have a vowel like every other letter ))
-She giggled a little proudly at his words. Whether or not she would become a great runner or climber, it was nice to hear the words of compliment. She sure liked this Chinedu guy, he was nice! She kind of wished she had atleast ONE brother in her big ole family. Oh well.-
"Yes!" -She proclaimed excitedly, pouncing forward.- "I would, I would! What kind of games do you play?"

Chinedu smiled back toward her, his tail flickering. He cocked his head to the side then got down on his front legs, lifting his butt into the air and bouncing himself. "We could play tag! Or maybe hide and seek?" He didn't think she was old enough to spar with him.

-The energy filled shifts in position in the lion boy drew forth an excited squeal from the female. Her paws danced backwards, long tail swishing in soft anticipation.- "Tag, tag!"
-Her muscles tensed softly, waiting to spring off even as she giggled with a soft sheepish smile.- "I might get lost if we played hide and seek. Since I don't know this savannah stuff." -Not to mention, the pouncing part of tag was always really fun!-

He grinned and got himself ready. She was a bundle of energy! He might not be able to keep up! "Tag it is! Oh that's a good point... I wouldn't want you to get lost! By the way, TAG!" He agrees then with a big jump hits her side with his paw and takes off. He looks over his shoulder at her and dares her to run after him with a smirk as he keeps pace.

-And they were off! Only moments after the light thwack of paw against her side, she bolted, paws tracing the path her new friend had made. The first few steps were light, playful, girlish, but it didn't take long for her to get serious, body sinking low to the ground with each stride once the distance between them had grown enough.
Eyes alert, tail acting as a balancing rudder, she nonetheless giggled ands smiled with glee as she chased him through the grasses. This was SOOOO much easier then weaving through all the trees in the jungle!-
