Nullpunkt growled, attempting to climb a rock pile and harrumphed when she fell.
The small lioness was trying to get a view of the Savannah, but the rock pile didn't cooperate, and she hissed annoyedly at it. She normally wasn't so moody, but her momma had also made her take her little brother Yakasa along. Ketu got to play alone-- why not Yakasa?
Nullpunkt humped at the rock pile indignantly, giving a cub-roar at it before leaping and using momentum to pull herself up. She stretched, looking around, and sat, tail curling around herself before she looked down at her younger brother.
"All's clear, Yakasa."

Yakasa nodded back, taking his turn at the rock pile, climbing up the other side carefully as to not fall. While it took him a bit longer to do so, he managed not to scratch himself up as badly as he feared his sister would be, considering she had seemed not horribly eager to bring him with her.
As she sat down next to her, he took in the view of the surrounding area, the Savannah hot and dry as usual but having a unique cool breeze (at least from where he sat). He pawed the rock playfully, letting his small claws dig into the surface before looking at his sister.
"So, what're you going to do today, Nullpu...Nullp...Nully?" He struggled on the words, slightly spitting as he tried to get the syllables out.

Nully? She's let him get away with it.
Nullpunkt laid down, shrugging a bit and pawed at Yakasa's paws a bit playfully. It always fascinated her how the phoenix wing-marked cub seemed to do what she could do-- often better-- without flinching. Wasn't it hard work?
"Momma told us to go out an' play, so...."
She shrugged, stretching and pawing Yakasa's paws again.
"Wanna go 'sploring?"

Yakasa nodded, pouncing his sister's tail playfully. "Sploring, Sploring, Let's Go Sploring!" He started to play with her tail some more, readying a jump on it before overshooting and landing back on the ground, a bit dusty but no more worse for the wear.
"Where we gonna go sploring, Nully? We gonna go find bired treasures or animals or fun things?"

"Dunno."
Nullpunkt watched Yakasa's epic miss and jumped down after him, nudging him a bit to help him up.
Oof, dust. Mom was gonna kill her now. The female stretched, beginning to pad for the river.
"Maybe we'll find... Stuff?"
She didn't know, but it kept Yakasa happy.

Yakasa happily padded after his sister, bouncing and pouncing random tumbleweeds he found along the way. Ooh, dust was fun to play in for sure!
"Maybe we'll find fishes? And then we can bringed them home for dinner and Mom will be so happy! Cause good fishes are cooked fishes that we find." he started to hum it as a song, attacking another tumbleweed as he thought outloud.

"Just cause Mama found that fire once dun' mean we'll get cooked fish. Unless we get it from two-legs like Grandma talked 'bout. But Fish IS yummy."
The female relented a bit, diverting to move for the river.
"We'll get lots and lots of fishies!"

Yakasa started to turn his words into a song again, enjoying the time with his sister for the moment. "Two-legs bring us fish, we shall eat the fish, Two-legs have no fish but maybe we shall save them one. And when we eat the fish, it will taste so yummy and happy in my tummy and then we take a nap!"
Yakasa wondered how they would carry all the fish back, starting to think up a way to create a sort of sack if they managed to get a lot of fish later on.

Nullpunkt jumped on a log, balancing as she surveyed the area, letting Yakasa have him fun, and marvelled at the river. Water had fish, right? Water moving must mean a lot of fish. She studied the area, and a large bump of... Something perked her interest. She jumped down, flicking her tail for Yakasa to follow, and prowled close to it.
Ah, the mighty hunter.

Seeing her tail flick, Yakasa ran over, pouncing it before looking in her direction as well.
"Whatcha find, big sister? Did you find more fishies? We've got to bring some home, okay!?"

"Am finding out. Too big for fishies."
Nullpunkt crept nearer, and pounced the large thing with a growl, biting on a bit and clawing.
The lump moved, showing itself to be an adult male lion, red eyes examining both cubs a moment with a dull growl.
"Will you punk braqts GET OFF ME!?" He snarled.

Yakasa growled back, teeth baring as he stepped in front of his sister, between her and the larger kion.
"No yell at Nully...she didn't think you were fish." He cocked his head at the lion for a moment, looking back at him. "But, your head is funny, looks like it has a fin on it....a fin-head!" he giggled, trying to climb up the lion to explore this "fin-head" a bit closer...

Nullpunkt had to giggle at Yakasa's comment about the lion's mane. It did stick out in funny angles, and her brother was awful darn bold.
The male didn't look amused, eying Yakasa.
"Why you-- I have half a mind to kick your little butt here and now. Don't you have any respect for your elders?!"
He leaned, growling in both cubs' faces a bit.
Nullpunkt reached a paw out and clawed his face.
"Ah, shut up and leave Yakasa alone, old man!"
Noone picked on her baby brother!

Yakasa now in turn turned back to his big sister and grinned. She was fierce, even when being faced with a big lion enemy. However, he wanted to make sure she'd be okay, growling back at the bigger enemy.
The younger lion tried to act fiercely by battering the older lion's tail and darting back and forth, using his younger speed and agility to try to keep the attention on himself and not his older sister.
"Ah Nully, it's okay, he's just a fin-head, and he probably knows he'd get into a lot of trouble if he attacked us too." he added, matter-of-factly, stopping his "agile dance" to state this.

Nullpunkt grinned, watching the kitten dance and giggling at the fact they were winning against the old guy.
The older lion was not impressed, using one paw to scoop Yakasa up irritably, moving the chew him out.
His nose twitched, and he sniffed at the male a bit curiously before dropping him, a bit roughly, and circled, sniffing the female cub next.
Oh. Oh.
He knew the scent of their mother on them. Huh.
The male flopped, eying both.
"Didn't your mother teach you not to go out alone?"
