Government System The Government on Mars is seemingly a pure dictatorship with the king holding all the reigns. If one didn't know anything about this place, they would assume it is so. However, it is not. There is a series of Checks and Balances within this place that keeps the king from going to war whenever the mood strikes him. However, the King still holds the veto power and the like. Much like an Democracy, only you're born into your position. However, if you do a horrible job at managing your land/people/taxes you could be stripped of you title and land so they could be given to a more worthy person. This person does not need to be a 'blue blood' to take up the titles. (TBC)

Snippit into the Mars Royal Family.(ie Story?)
Dinner
Family dinners were never really fun for them, or at least Mars never minded sitting there and listening to her father speak about various topics. Most had to do with the latest inventions from Mercury or what Venus had in terms or war fare and comparing it to their own.
Most of the time, Mars's half siblings had a few words to impart on this. Biston rarely spoke and her mother was only interested in what the latest fashions were and when the balls were to be held so she could present her children at them.
Though lately, the young princess started noticing her younger brother's weary appearance when he came to dinner. She assumed it was stress. It had to be.
However, this time, when dinner was served, Biston was late. Later than usual.
"That's odd." Queen Rhea Silvia's dreamy soft voice was heard. "Biston is usually so puncutal."
Ares seemed to frown at the woman but still cut the beef on his plate, "Perhaps he over slept in some dalliance." He says calmly and unconcerned. "He is a growing boy becoming a man after all."
Romulus slid his brother a rather odd look of amusement, to which Remus only shook his head and took a swallow of wine.
"Or per chance, he could be in trouble." Romulus said conversationally, feigning concern for the boy. "He's not like us in the ways of battle. Father."
Mars inwardly cringed at the bite in the word 'father'. She had known for a long time how her half brother, Romulus, disliked the king and even her.
"Of course he is." Ares voice sounded akin to a growl, "He's a son of mine!"
"Please." The queen breathes softly pushing around her food, "Let us simply wait to see if he comes home." The queen was never one for any arguments of sorts.
Mars prayed softly that her brother would make it home safely.
After a while, the object of their previous conversation strolls in and bows slightly towards his parents before taking a seat while saying, "Excuse me father, mother, for being so grieviously late. I had another engagement that over took my time and thoughtlessly forgotten to send word that I would be late." A Servant serves him his dinner which was kept warm. "I beg for pardon of this error of mine."
Ares, usually good at spotting things, seemed smug as he saw exactly how red his son's lips were, "Just tell your 'engagment' not to keep you overly long again, Biston."
Biston had a confused look before glancing over at Mars with a veiled look of confusion.
She only signed his lips by touch her own, to which there was a blush on his cheeks in response. They knew, of course, it was because of the play and maybe, if only Biston would ever admit it to her, another man that he saw that night as well.
Of course, the rest of the family, ignorant to these little secrets, assumed what the king had said himself. That Biston had been with some woman.
"Well little brother, " Romulus says with a rather odd smile, "It would seem that our Father, the king, was correct in his assumptions. Do hope nothing would come of it, of course. I may have to take you under my wing to show you how to charm them better."
"Or simply know to clean up more properly." Remus mutters with a sigh before finishing up his meal, "I must go now and tend to my horse." He simply stood, "Goodnight." With a small bow, he left the table and the dining hall.
Biston said nothing and ate at his food sullenly.
"Don't worry about it son." Ares told him amused still that he was right-at least he thought so. "I'm sure nothing will come of it." After a while longer, the king himself was done before rising from his seat, "Rhea, we have matters to finish discussing."
The queen sighs inwardly. 'Discussing' he says was more like something else entirely to her. However, she rose, after being finished with her meal, and moved to join her husband only tossing back, "Do not stay up too late."
With that the royal couple disappeared behind the ebony and gold doors.
They were alone. Mars and Biston only stare at each other from across the dining table. Both plates half finished, neither held appetites for more.
"Shall we retire to my sitting room?" Mars asks softly offering her brother a small smile. Even though she was, legally speaking, heir to the Mars throne, she was passed over for her brother. The reason for it was simple. If she was to become a Sailor Senshi-which she was- then she could spend most if not all, her time on the Moon. Far from her own people on the two moons of Phobos and Deimos.
It was only logical. She didn't even feel bad about it. It only gives her more time on her own to protect her friends better. Gave her more freedom for her own personal time. Time well spent with him. What a strange feeling, but she knew without a doubt what it was. The only thing that held Mars back from fully being with him was two things. He was a king down on Earth and a guardian of the Earth Prince. As well as her own vow. If she broke it...
Like her mother broke it in her previous marriage. Something catastrophic befell the man her mother had love then. Now...
"Of course. Perhaps next time, you should come with me on my outings Mars." Biston smiles a bit before he rose himself, "I wish to tell you all about it in the sitting room before bed. You'll like it, that I'm certain of."
"Very well then." Mars smiles as well before they both left and headed to her private sitting room to unwind.
