Howdy all ^_~

Ok, you know how we were discussing what's happening next on the rp, and more or less agreed that we should defiinatley have our level 1 training completed by the end of the war with Solaris and the fight with the Drow Lady.

Since it seems that every character is in combat, it makes sense that they'll gain significent experience as a reuslt of such life-or-death battles.

So:


When the battles have been completed, each character will automatically get moved to the next level.

Aso tehre might me a little celebratory dance in Lord adel's castle..... 4laugh

The new abilities are listed on each instructor's area. I'll post 'em up. of course they're subject to discussion

But basically you also get a new offensive and a new defensive item form the shop (for free), and/or your default wepaon is upgraded to do more damage.


WARRIOR UPGRADE:

If you decide to train to be a warrior you will rank up and gain:
~Get [+6] stats - +3 in hp (health/endurance) and the other 3 to spend in strength, defence, evasion or accuracy
~Updated sword /(other melee weapon) that can deal more damage
~+1 damage to attack score dice roll in melee combat (where you attack)


MADGE UPGRADE:

~Get +6 stats limited to magical attack, magical defense and accuracy
~Gain 6 magic points to use for spells
~Be able to use magic spells
~Be able to use limited healing magic
~Shielding increases +1, BUT when magic points are below 3, the shielding weakens



CLERIC UPGRADE:
~Gain +5 stats (you rank upto a new level) - limited to magic, accuracy, health/endurance, magical power and magical defense
~Gain 6 magic points to use for spells
~Be able to heal players (upto +5hp)
~Be able to 'turn' the undead
~Be able to ressurect players to +2 hp
~Be able to use basic magic (what the mother superior teaches you)

ROUGE UPGRADE:
~ [+6 stats] +4 must be used in speed and/or evasion (can be divided between the two)
~updated weapon -- long range
~ ability to disable traps. each time 3 traps are sucessfully disabled = +2 hp recovered
~ Able to have 3 more slots in knapsack
~ poison darts -- (only able to use twice before discarding) - weapon ignores armor class and takes 1hp per go until cure or death.

Okay um how about abilities like steal for the rouge. weapon sap for the warrior and fire ball for the mage. Stuff like that

um for rouges
steal and throw
warriors
weapon sap and rush
mage
ligthing and fire ball

That sounds fair.

So how would steal,throw,sap and rush work?

also madge abilities are limited by the spells they buy. technicaly they can do anything within their baility (element-wise), perhaps it'd be better to give them 'sleep' and 'heal' abilities.
Madges can only heal 1-2hp?
clerics can heal upto 4-5hp ?
(the above uses up magic points and - like it states- if the user drops below 3 magic points, thier hp lowers)

-clears throat- I do believe I have a say in this.

As for Warrior skills, you recieve two skills, both nothing like what you mentioned.

Cutting Edge - a skill that raises chance of hitting by 10% and raises chance of increased damage by 5%. Costs 20 Mp and lasts 3 turns.

Flat Edge - increases chance of dodging by 10%. Costs 10 Mp and lasts 3 turns.

Other skills can be learned throughout the game, of course, so there's no need to worry. wink

Okay for steal you roll a 6 dice and if you get a 1-2 you can steal some gold (Forgot the name xp ) 3-4 you can steal Exp 5-6 an item they are wearing

throw lets you throw an item like a dart or knife.

Sap works by draing some Hp to bost your damage by 10

rush works by knocking and enemy out, delaying his/her turn and doing damage

Good Idea but how about posion in stead of healing because wouldent that fall under white mage (im just calling it that for now forgot what its called.)

true, poison might be better.
madges of all kinds can heal, but it uses more magic points than if a Cleric did it. Maybe you're right and we should limit that to if they buy a heal spell instead.

We should put together a list of skills, two for each class. It'll be a developing list, and edited constantly no doubt, but it would be beneficial.

Yes i think that's wise.

the hard part comes iwth all teh zillions of different types per level.

Maybe each level has 1 universla skill for that class (rouge,madge,cleric,warrior), and one specific to the type you are (ninja,beserker,priest etc)



eg maybe for a phsychic...


madge ability for that level = *shrugs* umm....
"power-draw" (taes energy from nature ot boost magic gauge)

and then-

Physicic ability = futuresight (predicts a move befor eit happens - roll star dice, if star dodge move)

A very good idea and for rouges, ninjas, and assassins how about
hide:
Roll a 6 side dice and depending on the number you are able to doge the attacks for 1-6 turns.

Cool idea, although maybe you should roll the dice each turn - if 'star' (even number) to decide if hide works

I just realised this, I had forgotten it, but there should also be a default weapon upgrade. Maybe plus 2 to attack, or some other trait. Normal upgrade would involve attachments and defeating a certain ammount of monsters and crap, but with a boss there should be an automatic upgrade, but not a powerful one, due to lack of materials and stuff, you know?
