Thanks to YouTube I finally saw the eppy that everyone was talking about. Man, I was really blown away by the darkness of it all. I can see why it had everyone talking. I espically was surprised by Mikey's outcome. I'd thought he'd always be this fun loving goofball but man he turned out to be one shell of a baddie, in a matter of speaking anyway. I loved their looks too. I loved the fact they made Leo blind and had Raph with one eye. This is what I would like to them do is have the turtles centered around that verse so we knew what happened to them instead of Fast Forward and Back to the Sewers.

Granted, I would love to see more done with SAINW, but I think this may be one of those cases where no matter what they do it will NEVER be as good as you imagine it in your head. Especially if an entire season was dedicated to what is essentially an alternate universe -- keep in mind, it's up next to shows like Viva Pinata and Sonic X... going from that to Dystopian Future and back would be severe mood whiplash I think. Plus, they're all kind of... yeah. Dead. sad (Unless by "what happened to them" you mean like a prequel, in which case...)

On the plus side, we'll always have fanfiction. biggrin I know demon-alukard on deviantART was doing an entire comic series about the SAINW universe. (Just a side note, why does everybody say Leo was blind? I just thought he was trying to look like a Guardian...)

According to Chris, aka TMNT4Kids, who runs the blogs at 4kids.tv and has direct access to official materials and has discussed plot points with Darren Dunstan, nowhere is Leonardo mentioned to have been blind in the script, or any other materials, for that episode. It only refers to him as having been scarred.

Same as it Never Was is one of my favorite episodes of TMNT, I feel so bad for Donnie when he watched his brother die in that future.

I saw that episode and when it showed them all dying I cried and when Donnie dissapeared I actually thought that he was going to be the only TMNT! I have it on DVD and it still makes me cry!
