My husband and I are planning a very small feast for the two of us. I'm going to try and make the sun bread reciepie that was in the newsletter this month, and some pumpkin pie 4laugh .
Other then that I'm going to set aside some time the day before (I have to work on Mabon) to meditate on the season and thank the gods for the bounty of the year.

Ooooh pumpkin pie. I save that one for Sha... er... Samhain as y'all usually call it. I must say last year's pie didn't quite turn out right. but hey, I learned... and in a way, I created a new variation on the recipe which I dub 'chunky pumpkin pie.' I made it from a real pumpkin, and I didn't use a food processor to thoroughly smooth the pumpkin. So... yeah. If you make a pumpkin pie really from scratch, be sure to seriously purée the pumpkin. Though it isn't bad chunky. Heh.
I instead make corn muffins and cook up some sort of squash or sweet potato for dinner. I really should try and make an apple pie, as I feel that would be the pie to correspond to this time of year. I may yet decide to make one; perhaps not on the day of Autumn Equinox, but the following day or so. Pie > cake.

Shearaha We live in an apartment so I really don't have the space to make one from scratch this year crying But almost everything else will be heart Oh, pooh! I live in an apartment too; doesn't stop me. whee And my kitchen is small for someone who likes to cook. There's not really quite enough storage space. I blame the darned dishwasher they put in. ... which I use to store my baking cookware. xd

My husband rules the kitchen. So I don't have much room for baking. I ended up making 4 pies and 2 loaves of bread. I brought one of the extra pies to work biggrin And his parents agreed to come over for our celebration tonight too.
