"Hmm..." The raven emitted a low noise, meaningless really, as he moved along, his steps short and forced. Hands clasped behind his back as he stared ahead unfocused on the scenery of walls passing by as he moved, trapped in his own little world of thoughts as was usual for him lately. If anything the world he'd made in his mind, filled with unanswered questions and troublesome thoughts was more real than the floor he was on. Solid or not, what mattered in the end was relevance.

And what seemed more relevant than what troubled him most?

Didn't it seem like everything was prone to being upset with him. He'd tried to be himself and it only caused problems. Keivlos, Flower, and then Haru got upset with him for continuing to dwell on himself and what mattered. So was it better not to be himself? But wasn't one of the basics rules of life and being happy to be what you thought you should be..?

It was really all too confusing. He shifted slightly, tilting his head up now and watching the lights on the ceiling with the same blank stare.

Being himself only caused trouble though. He'd liked the clothes and color, but Keivlos hated him for it. Flower only became more upset being around him, and now was just violent. He'd been useless when people were getting hurt, not even able to stop the dragon who was supposed to be his partner from attacking the other kids. Being himself really seemed bad. Which made him bad in the end.

He shook his head, emitting a low sigh. "I don't get it... everyone else makes it seem easy." Indeed, that was true. Everyone else did seem to fit in, be useful, be liked for them so easily. Why hadn't he been able to do the same?

Yeesha, on the other hand, was incredibly pleased with herself. She had managed to convince Jasper to drive his funny yellow taxi all the way down to the D-Corp headquarters so that she could show him about. It had helped that she felt extremely thwarted after the trickery involving her pony, and thus had threatened to cause general havoc in his taxi if he didn't do as she asked. Plus she had been a very good girl for her shots and she had gone to class. Jasper definitely owed her, and now as good a time as ever to start paying up.

The alligator girl had her guardian by the hand, and was dragging him through the doors and into the main lobby of the building. "Tho I uthed to go here all the time when I wath little, 'cause Daddy worked here. Did you know that?" She didn't know exactly what he did here, but that wasn't important. The fact that he had actually been a part of the important adults for D-corp was something to be proud of. "And tho thith one time, he took me with a bunch of other kidth to thee my dragon egg! It was cool and black and Jekel wath getting an egg too!"

She stopped suddenly in the doorway, and pointed to the reception desk. "Tho we came through the doorth, and then there ith the desk! And then over there ith a wall, and more wallth, and then... and then Revie!" Yeesha's grinned widened as she pointed an excited finger at her friend. "That'th my friend Revie! Everyone thayth Revie'th a boy, but I think she'th a girl." She added the last bit as a "whisper."

He'd continued down his path, moving away from the housing area to the main building steadily at a trudge. He had, afterall, been on his way to speak with Haruki. Which meant moving through the reception area to the elevators to get to his office. Of course, assuming he wasn't working in a classroom. A constant problem he faced when trying to catch hold of him really, but nothing really worth troubling himself with.

It was only a few minutes more to the office anyway, mainly just the ride up to the area. He'd finally reached the reception desk and was walking along, still more focused on his own thoughts when an out of place noise caused the boy to look over, blinking a bit at the sight as it seemed to be pointing at him and exclaiming. Finally it all seemed to click after a few seconds, the previously lost expression brightening a bit. "Oh, Yeesha!" Afterall, running into friends worked wonders on most everyone as a distraction.

It was likely a good thing for the girl that birds weren't known for having heightened hearing like other animals and the boy had missed the comment about being a 'girl.' As he started over, offering a weak smile to the two, which silently taking in the oddity beside her. What was that on his hand? It certainly didn't look like the man she'd been with before, but maybe it was a friend? She was showing him around the building so the two knew each other certainly. "Er... hi Yeesha, what're you doing here?" As if that made sense as a question.

The alligator girl was incredibly pleased that her friend remembered her. It seemed so long since they had seen each other and actually had time to talk. Revon looked considerably bigger than she remembered him, though that might have just been her getting smaller. Shrinking could very well be a side effect of scale rot. The world worked in strange ways. He also seemed to be pretty pleased to see her, though there was something about his expression that made her feel like something was bothering him. Ah well, she would make him forget that soon enough.

At his question she puffed her chest out, and gestured to her guardian as though she was showing him off. "Thith ith Jathper. He'th my new brother, 'cause Daddy dithapeared." She nodded sadly, however her face brightened when she continued on about what she was doing. "I'm thowing him around! He'th never been to D-corp before! Can you believe that?" Clearly it was a big deal.

Jasper gave Revon a wide smile, and offered his free hand. "Nice to meet you, 'Revie.' I'm assuming you knew Yeesha from before?" It seemed like a dumb question, but the young man wasn't exactly sure if it was kosher to ask whether or not this girl (guy?) was Yeesha's friend. After all, he didn't want to pry.

He watched as she proudly showed off the man beside her, declaring him a sibling. "Ohh... like Phace?" He mumbled softly, before it hit him what she meant about her father, a feeling of guilt sinking in. And he complained about his problems? At least he'd never had to fear Haruki disappearing. Save for that one night when there was an explosion, but... He shifted a bit uncomfortably, somewhat awkward that she was so happy even with that all. "Never? That is a bit odd..." He offered up, looking to the man. Haruki had already been at D-Corp when they met, so it seemed peculiar that the man was different.

He'd unclasped his hands from behind his back at some point, but did offering the handshake a slightly odd look before hesitantly taking it. It had to be fine if he knew Yeesha, even if he did look kind of funny. "Nice to mee tyou as well, Jathper." Of course he mimicked the way Yeesha had said it, assuming it to be the proper name. "We met a while back in the park when we were younger, along with my twin brother Keivlos." At mentioning his brothers name he internally flinched, recalling that they still weren't speaking again.

He shifted feet, letting his hand drop again as he finally began to adjust to the man, no longer needing to calm himself with a 'if they knew Yeesha it's fine, everytime he realize how odd he was. Then again, he wasn't exactly normal either. It was just a new form of weird. Still, he quickly turned his attention back to the girl, seeming somewhat troubled. "Your dad is missing..?" In truth, he had sometimes seen the man in passing around D-Corp, but he hadn't seen him lately. That was a bit odd...

Though almost as if something hit he realized perhaps it wasn't a good question and once more moved his weight to the other foot uncomfortable. "Er... but maybe I can help show him the place?" He usually could go most places without being questioned, afterall he was always looking for Haru or going to a class. "They let me cause Ha's office is really high up so I go there a lot." Then again, things would likely be different. He didn't usually bring guests with him.

"Thee, even Revie thayth that never comin' here is weird!" Yeesha gave her guardian a pronounced poke, grinning in triumph. She knew there was something weird about having never been to the D-corp headquarters. With all the classes the children had to take, not to mention vaccinations and things like egg visits, most guardians probably felt like they lived at the headquarters. But alas, Jasper had only arrived there to pick up his daughter, and then two other times on a mission. He hadn't exactly had time to go wandering about, nor did he think it very wise to go snooping about. Best to just steer Yeesha to her classes and get on with it.

Jasper couldn't help chuckling a little when Revon mimicked Yeesha's lisp, however he didn't bother correcting the raven boy. If all of Yeesha's friends referred to him as Jathper then that was fine with him. Besides, it would at least let him know how these people knew his name. Nobody else in his family spoke with a lisp. "I figured you were friends. I'm glad that coming here has allowed her to meet up with you again." He was also a little relieved that Yeesha actually had friends. She could be rather pushy at times.

Yeesha nodded again at the question, and repeated what she had said early. "Dithapeared, ith what they thaid. I dunno where he ith or anything. Didn't thee him for a while, and then they thaid I get a new daddy." She made a face at this. "But Jathper thaid he would be my brother inthtead! Tho it'th better. But if you thee Daddy, tell him to come thraight home." She put her hands on her hips in what she thought was a fearsome gesture promising horrible punishment if her father did not do as he was requested. Truthfully she missed the man, but it hadn't quite sunk in yet that he wasn’t coming back. She was still under the impression that he would arrive at Jasper's house one day looking for her. Or something like that. He had better bring sushi to make it up.

"You'd really help? You're awesome Revie!" She flashed him a bright smile, tail swishing excitedly behind her. "'cause there'th lotth of placeth I dunno about, tho you can take charge! You lithten to Revie, okay?" She looked up at Jasper for conformation, and her guardian humoured her with a sage nod.

He nodded a bit as she repeated what he'd said. The boy rarely left the building what with living there, so it was rather peculiar. Even those who lived away were often roaming around during the day. Anyone related to the kids was here all the time it seemed.

The laugh seemed unnoticed, or perhaps ignored as he didn't know the reason for it and offered the man a smile. "Well, it was luck. I was about to go up and look for Ha, so we wouldn't have run into each other if it hadn't been here." Which was true, it really was something of a stroke of luck they'd timed it right.

It s was obvious that Revon had a better grasp on the fact there was little chance Hennet would come back. Perhaps it was age, or just the fact his guardian rarely felt the need to dumb things down for him even if he was a child. Disappeared was just not a good thing to have happen. "I-I see..." He voice caught a bit a she replied, nodding at the command. "I'll be sure to say that if I see him." He glanced slightly at Jasper, then back at Yeesha. Well, at least the person seemed nice, and she was still herself. She really was a better person than him taking it well.

"Oh, yes of course I'll help." He nodded a bit, which quickly turned to a look similar to a deer in the headlights as she mentioned him being in charge. He began shifting back and forth thoughtfully, trying to figure out what would be best. "U-uh... well... umm I don't know what places... there are lots at D-corp..." He'd partially been thinking to just help explain, and maybe mention a few things, not lead the way, and now she was telling someone to listen to him? Oh that wasn't good. "T-there's no need for that, I just know a few places..." He trailed off quietly into something barely audible by the end, watching the two.

"Even if it was luck, it was still nice." Not quite a touching reunion, but Jasper hadn't exactly expected something like that. Yeesha was not exactly the type of girl to leap into her friend's arms and spin around happily into the sunset. And even if she had been that type, this raven boy was rather dull. The taxi driver couldn't help but wonder what had drawn the two together in the first place. 'Revie' didn't exactly seem like the type of boy/girl that Yeesha would willingly hang out with. Perhaps there was something he wasn't seeing.

Yeesha gave Revon a curt nod when he said he would do as she requested, and relaxed her posture. She could trust the raven boy to be good. He was far too mild-mannered to go about rebelling against her demands. His brother, on the other hand, wasn’t someone to trust. The alligator girl didn't remember that much about him, only that she had found him to be quite weird. If she met him again she could reevaluate her opinion of him. He hadn't drawn on her sundress, which meant he could be forgiven for anything minor he had done to her before.

She allowed Revon to babble until he was finished, tail continuing to swish behind her as she pondered the situation. It appeared that Revie was still too shy to do anything that involved leading. Well, the only logical conclusion was for her to lead instead. "'Kay, I'll be in charge, but you'll be in charge of all the information! Now come, we have lotth of placeth to go!" Yeesha grabbed Revon's hand with her spare hand and started to drag both her guardian and her friend past the reception desk. "Tho thith ith the main hallway or thomething, but you come through the open front bit until you get here!"

He nodded at the comment, smiling lightly at Jasper. Although he personally didn't realize it, some part of him knew the friendship was a little odd too. But it worked, afterall, the children themselves were rather all. It only made sense. Even if it probably did confuse most people who came across it.

It was likely the fact he would never rebel against her suggestions that pleased someone headstrong like Yeesha. Which wasn't really him tolerating it, he felt the suggestions were for the best. So it worked out well for them both. People who didn't like being the boss generally ended up annoyed with his indecision anyway. It wasn't entirely good to be the way he was, but at least he understood why some became cross with him for it these days. Not everyone liked to be in charge, he didn't want to offend them with a bad suggestion though. Wasn't that worse?

Ah, but for today he was saved from making a bad choice. As Yeesha proclaimed she was in charge while snatching his hand to drag the two along on her journey. Information? He could do that, just the facts right? "Uh, yes. I can do that!" And there he was smiling just a bit, keeping pace after his friend as she began speaking. "It leads off t the other areas, and it's meant for helping people locate the place they're going. You can usually ask the receptionist what floor you need and which hall." Nods slightly at Jasper." Then you can take an elevator that was off to the side, the really big one is for the dragons." He glanced at Yeesha after he finished as if looking for approval on the bit he'd said, obviously wanting to make sure he was doing it right.

While Yeesha was the type to get easily offended, especially when things weren't going her way, she had a much higher tolerance for her friends. If Revon had made a bad suggestion she would have simply just corrected him and then moved on. The problem was easily fixed. After all, she knew that he would follow her lead if she made it clear that she was going to be in charge. He wasn't the type to say things when corrected, even if it was by someone younger than him (though Yeesha insisted she was just smaller). Those who were not her friends were at risk of being called names, or at the very least having their errors pointed out loud and obnoxiously. If you weren't her friend then she didn't have to be on best behaviour.

The alligator girl grinned over her shoulder when Revon said that he could be the information man. Excellent. Yeesha was quite pleased that he had risen to the challenge. She didn't like it when she didn't get her way, especially when it came to bossing people around. Revon was a good boy though, and as tempted as she was to tell him so, he was already giving new information about their surroundings. She let him finish, before she nodded approvingly. "Thee, Jathper, Revie is really thmart! He'th a good boy! But there ith elevator for dragon and for peoples. I have a black dragon! It'th only an egg though. Revie has a dragon too, right?"
