No matter how hard he looked, he could not find it. He had been through the den five times over, checking every inch of the cave for the one small thing he used to remember a very important meeting. It was an animal bone, not unlike any other bone, from the meal he had shared with, so far, one of the most influential people he had come across.
And it was missing.
Growling as he sniffed and moved out of the den, he wondered where it could have gotten to. He had taken to carrying it with him, but was very good about making sure he knew where it was at all times. If he had lost it during one of his many wanderings, there was absolutely no chance of finding it now. But he was almost certain he had brought it home the night before. He had checked just before spotting the den from a few feet off.
It had to be any where between that point and the entrance of the cave, since he had already established it was not inside. He would need help covering that much ground, unless he wanted to devote the entire day to searching on his own. Sitting down, he looked back at the den, wondering which of his siblings might be inclined to help him. A relatively quiet cub, he was not too fond of asking for help from others his own age.
Sighing profoundly, he wondered if it would pay off to just sit and wait until one of them came out to offer him help.

Luckily for Risasi, he didn't have to wait very long. Mabaka had watched him sniffing around the den from afar, green eyes observing her older brother. As much as she loved all her siblings, most of her time was spent with Uhuru. The two of them shared something special, something she couldn't quite identify but made her feel warm on the inside...
But at the sight of her brother's distress, Mabaka rose from her spot at Uhuru's side, tail flicking as she idly stretched, before she padded out of the den. She came up behind Risasi, sat down, and looked at her brother for a long moment.
"What's wrong?"

Risasi looked at his sister, trying to hide his distress but failing miserably. He wasn't used to sharing his thoughts and troubles with his siblings, preferring mostly to remain on his own. It was not that he didn't like them, but rather he felt he could do a better job of protecting them from a distance. Shaking his head, he had to clear his throat before venturing to answer.
"I lost something very special to me, and I don't know how I could have... I had it in the den... I always have it in the den. But it's not there now, and I think it's gone forever."
Looking at the ground, he shuffled his paws woefully before sighing again and shaking his head, "it was a little bone... I got it from a friend."
