I recently aquired a pair of welders goggles from my grandfather's garage. I cleaned them up, and plan on using them in my next Steampunk outfit. My delima, and reason for the thread, is this: they are currently dark green with a black plate around the lenses themselves. Should I paint over the green with a copper or leathery color, or leave them as green.

I LOVE them.
They're exactly the sort of design for Steampunk Goggles that I've been looking for that I may be abel to use in my next Steampunk outfit.

I rather like the green. I think it could look fantastic, especially if there's a similar shade of green in the rest of your outfit. I would paint over the black bits, however, in either a brass or dark gunmetal grey metallic. With both the shiny green and black, they look a bit plasticy.

Good idea. I don't have much green stuff as of yet, but I'm expanding from reds and blues. Oh, and I switched out the elastic strap for a lace one.
