There are all different kinds of girls in porno and outside of porno. There are hairless girls, all natural girls, girls somewhere in between, etc. But the more mainstream stuff does tend to have the hairless girls. Let's hope he knows a little bit about the female body outside of pornography though, especially since a lot of porno is really unrealistic in general.
You should never feel like you have to shave for a guy though. Your body is much more then a sexual object. Whether he likes it or not, girls grow hair. xp I don't remove any body hair and never plan to. So far, all my partners have been ok with it. I wouldn't be with someone who wasn't. But if you do decide to remove body hair, that's ok too, as long as it's something you want to do for yourself as opposed to for someone else. However, in terms of pubic hair, you should be leaving it all natural, trimming, or just removing hair around the edges. Removing all your pubic hair actually increases your chances of getting an infection.

LorienLlewellyn Fiaroka Quote: Removing all your pubic hair actually increases your chances of getting an infection. What kind of infections? Removing all your pubic hair, especially by shaving, increases your chances of getting a vaginal infection. So ob-gyns typically recommend trimming or staying all natural. Oh.. I didn't know that. I've always found it easier hairless during a period 'cause then the blood doesn't travel on the hair around the pad. ^^' Shouldn't my doctor mention something like that then, when I get my pap smear done?

Fiaroka Oh.. I didn't know that. I've always found it easier hairless during a period 'cause then the blood doesn't travel on the hair around the pad. ^^' Shouldn't my doctor mention something like that then, when I get my pap smear done?
Yeah, ob-gyns probably should mention it, but I don't think most do unless they're asked directly. I think a lot of them probably feel like it's not worth bringing up because there are just so many things that can increase our chances of getting infections, we just can't avoid them all. Shaving pubic hair, staying in a wet bathing suit for too long, wearing underwear that doesn't breathe very well, using a new kind of soap, taking birth control pills, not changing your pad often enough, and even being in a hot tub all increase your chances of getting infections, yet pretty much all of us do at least one or two of those things.
And shaving isn't a guarantee that you'll get an infection. Most of us will get at least one non-sexually transmitted infection in our life whether we shave or not. But I do like to warn girls about it just so they know. It might not increase your chances of getting an infection by a great deal, but it still increases it some, and that's fairly valuable information in my opinion!
Here's a good article if you want to read it: http://www.pamf.org/teen/health/skin/pubichairremoval.html It explains the health risks involved with shaving, but it also gives tips on how you can try to avoid those risks as much as possible if you do decide that you want to shave. Personally, I don't think it's worth it. But it also depends on how prone the girl is to getting infections, and I am sort of prone to them as I get older it seems. Women who get frequent vaginal infections would probably want to stay all natural or just trim (also talk to your doctor if you're getting frequent infections so you can rule out things like diabetes and HIV) . Women who rarely get infections might not care as much.
