Performance Title:
Stars and Starlets

Genre:
Reality Dance Show

Starring:
Riley Daima

Description:
10 aspiring dancers have been paired with 10 well known actors (Some very proficent dancers, others not so much, but all have some skill at dancing) in a one shot (One episode) Reality TV show dance off competition (Think: Dancing with the Stars). The dancers are given 2 weeks to prepare with their partner (which included giving them a few dancing pointers) and then compete in a live taped show. After all 10 pairs have gone, the lines are opened up and the viewers get to choose the winners!
Riley has been paired with a well known TV actor/singer/dancer, Zip Afron.

Riley was angry.

No. She was beyod angry, she was furious. Which bone-headed agent had talked her INTO this? Here she was, standing next to some American Teen Heartthrob, expected to dance with him, let HIM outshine her. This was all a publicity stunt to him, to get a more diverse viewing crowd, something he reiterated over and over to her in the previous 2 weeks of rehersals.

Oh, he was nice enough to her, smiling and cooing to her, as if she were some stupid little child that needed his guidance. She had only been paired with him because they "made SUCH a striking pair!" as the producer had exclaimed every time she saw them together.

And of course, HE had gotten to choose the dance they would perform. What had he chosen? His unoriginal mind had come up with the Salsa. A very flirtatous and saucy dance by nature, she now had to act sensual, in front of a live audiance, as well as all the viewers at home with this...this...boring little twit. He could dance, she would give him that, but he put no heart, no soul into it. She may as well have been dancing with a rock.

They were 7th to go. The 5th pair was halfway through. Riley ran her hand nervously through her hair, following it with some rebellion to her chest, where he yanked her hand away from her hair and gave a harsh whisper that she'd mess up her style before they even went out on stage.

This wasn't her. They had forced her to get extensions. Her beautiful short black hair was now long, long and fake. It was pulled into a smart ponytailed updo, that kept it out of her face, but would have been appropriate for the runway, had she chosen to go there. And had she had a say in her costume? Of course not. If she had, she certainly would be set to take the stage in this. Shimering bright, brilliant red, the dress was so loud, it hurt to look at it. A bra like top, with a grecian style drap from one shoulder adorned the top half of her body. At least a yard or more of fabric wrapped her middle and from it a skirt that just barely covered her butt flowed down. Her back was completly bare. Zip wore a stunning red tux, with beautiful wingtip black shoes. Her sparkly gold heeled shoes had given her blisters blisters.

If this was how you got famous....No. She knew in her heart that whatever she had to do, whatever mockery of the dane she had to endure, it would all be worth it in the end.

The 6th pair had just finished. They were up. Zip gripped her hand had. He seemed to know that she planned to outdance him, and he couldn't stop it. It was far to late now.

"Follow my lead," he hissed.

"--Zip Afron and Riley Daima!" the announcer on stage said. A cheer rose through the crowd, and Riley knew, it wasn't for her. HE was who they had all come to see.

The black haired girl was smiley broadly. Put on a face for the crowd. Make them love you. Zip held her hand up gracefully as the took center stage and they turned to each other, taking their starting positions.

The lights dimmed, one lone spotlight trained on them. The music started.

They started off at a fast pace, something she had insisted on, and through practice, proved that it made for a more exciting run. The stepped towards each other and back, she give him sultry looks, while concentrating and he, looking ever the part of the Heart-throb, gazed deeply into her dark eyes when their bodies met. He spun her under his arm and she reached out dramatically with her other arm, her skirt splaying out wildly. The music picked up speed and the raced across the floor, twisting and turning in one anothers arms, but each time he loosened his grip, she made sure to spice it up more than he wanted. She ground her hips with each step, turned her head and made love to the cameras and the audiance. She oh-so-subtly stepped in front of him before turning back.

As they came close to the end, their bodies became closer and closer, entwined with one another. As they finished, as Zip dipped her low, almost to the floor, her body was pressed close to his and he leaned in to her neck and she dropped her head and arm back, and they struck a dramatic pose. The producer knew what she was talking about. The did make one hell of a stunning pair.

Her chest heaved and she barely heard the announcer say their names again. As she stood up and took a bow, she saw many audiance members leaping out of thier seats and clapping wildly as her partner led her off the stage.

"Once again, if you'd like to vote for Zip and Riley, the number is 1 234 5678! Ask for Pair #7!! The lines will be open as soon as the remaining 3 pairs have danced!!"
