Powers: Phasing, he can control fusion, giving him the ability to shoot extremely potent beams of heat and energy, flying, ability to control heat to a degree, generating extremely hot, but short-lived flames from air.
Weaknesses: Tires quickly if flying for too long.
Short bio: Daren grew up in the general area of the school, often wandering near it, but never going close enough to see it. One day, after school, some kids had gotten word about it, and had taken Daren there, to beat him up. His powers awakened here, causing him to almost melt the three bullies. He wandered for a few days, before joining the school.
Personality: Bold, funny, kind of annoying.
Preferred classes: Chemistry, Combat, Transformations, and Physics/Mathematics
Appearance: He usually wears a skintight shirt, underneath a top for a dark red and grey jumpsuit, along with sweat pants. He has very light blonde hair, almost to the point of albinism, but pretty tan skin, very unlike an albino.
Writing Sample:
Daren's head crushed back against a wall, cracking painfully against the old stones. He was surrounded by three of them, his back to an old castle, where they had promptly carried him, kicking and screaming, right after school. The bullies looked on eagerly, waiting for him to get up so that they could continue the beating. Daren looked up, one eye swollen shut, its blackened and bruised skin pulsing wildly. He got up this time, feeling a strange sensation in the pit of his stomach. Suddenly, a white hot feeling erupted in his arms, beams of red blasting out at the bullies. They were knocked back, one of them catching on fire.
Daren simply left the scene, too tired to think about it. He walked into the castle, barely seeing through the swollen eye, until he collapsed, exhausted.
