For those of you that may not know, the main idea of PostSecret is to anonymously mail in a postcard with a secret you've never told anyone on one side of it. Some of the secrets have been collected into
books, and you can find new secrets every Sunday on the PostSecret
website.
I thought it would be cool to have a place for Intelli-threaders to anonymously post their secrets, and post responses to others' secrets. I'm setting up a mule, and my idea was to have people anonymously give the mule something of very little value, such as a daily chance item you don't want, or an old quest item, and in the message section, write your secret. Or if you want to make a "postcard," you could just put a link to the image with your secret. Every once in a while, I'd sell off the gifts and donate the gold to the guild. So, what do you think? Good idea? Would you participate?
If anyone wants to send a secret right now, the mule's name is The Intelli-Secretkeeper. Once I've got a few secrets collected (and once Gent accepts the mule to the guild XD) I'll start a thread with him to post all the secrets, and people can respond. Responses generally have to be email to the PostSecret website, and the webmaster picks some to display, but we won't have to do that because naturally Intelli-threaders know better than to say hurtful things about others' secrets.
Anyway, feel free to answer the poll and post additional suggestions below!
Edit: Just to make it more clear, to submit a secret, you need to give an anonymous gift to The Intelli-Secretkeeper, with the secret in the Message area. This is not the same thing as a trade. To give a gift, go to your inventory page, click on the item you'd like to give, and select "give as gift." Then follow the instructions, and be sure to check the "Give this gift anonymously?" option. This is the only way to ensure complete anonymity without creating a mule for the express purpose of secret-telling (which just seems like a pain in the a** to me). Also, if you send a trade to my main account, I'm not really sure if it's meant to be for the PostSecret project. Hope that clears up any confusion. Thanks!
