Not engaged in etra carricular activity, which I am [on the step team] but I'm engaged as in getting married.
So I have a question, what age do you believe someone should get married?
We haven't planned when we're actually getting married, but we're waiting until I graduate at least or until he finished college.

Congrats, kiddo. biggrin
Personally, I don't think there is a preferred age, but I believe both should at least be adults. Lol. But even then, I think it's not good to marry unless one or both(preferably both) have their s**t together, feel me? Steady and satisfactory cash flow. Satisfactory as in at least enough to get by in the area you're living in. Education is nice too. That can take you pretty far.
I also think it's good to have life experiences outside of high school drama. You're going to find that the world is full of snakes, pimps, and hos. Pimps are the ones making all of the money. Whether it be on the streets with street savvy, or them being a CEO of a major business. Whatever it is they're doing, they are always paid. Hos are the ones making OTHERS money, while they themselves are just barely getting by. (The average American falls into this category) Snakes are the sneaky bastards that are after your money constantly. They play hardball. You'll see that the biggest snakes are those in major companies. (Although if in the streets, they'll just plain rob you) It's a dog eat dog world, and they have the biggest appetite. You need to have the gears constantly turning in your brain to not get screwed over by them. They are the type to get you to sign a contract without really letting you get a good idea of the most important details. Next thing you know, you're broke. Lol.
With these three types of people in the world, it's best that you know how to deal with each of them. So it's not really an age thing, but pretty much just how your mind works. When you're in the safety of your own home, and you fall, you'll land on the cushion of the carpet. You go to the outside world and fall, you're eating concrete. Knowledge is your helmet! Lol.
Anyway, congrats. cool

@JS: I agree with you on that, knowing about life and reality. Fortunetly I have smarts in this category.
@RFK: My fiance' isn't a redneck....so yeah. He's actually very smart and works for the government making double digits an hour. And I'm working on my salary lol.

when i was 17, i was ******** this puerto rican chick. her parents found out, and basically said if we wanna keep seeing eachother we need to get married. they were gonna sign the papers to let her get married underage and my ma didnt really give a ********. (go figure)
but anyways i was young, dumb, and in love. so i was going to go through with it. went through all this court stuff- and sumtin happened where it had to wait til she was 18. omg, ive never been so happy. haha.
marriage right now= no thanks.
basically put it this way. women won't understand, but the guys can agree with this: "You can't be happy in a relationship or marriage if you aren't happy with yourself."
meaning if you dont take care of yourself 1st, you wont be happy ultimately in the end. IMO relationships are inconviences, til you have your s**t straight and you are ready to settle

Stryker drops a bomb of knowledge yet again!!1! rofl
personally, i think you're too young to get married. you're about 18 right? i'm not going to claim to know you like that, but i'm almost positive that you haven't really lived life long enough to have a good deal of experience. what i mean in that is you still have A LOT of people, places, etc... to explore. you get married and have kids, eventually you will start to wonder if you missed out on anything. you'll start having regrets. not saying you'll regret marrying the ***** you're trying to marry, but you'll regret settling down as fast as you did. ya'll are young, ya dig? go to college, and save you up some traveling change so you can travel the country or other countries on break. see what life it like outside of wherever you're from. meet new people. mingle. see what's up, but keep ya head on straight. after you're done experiencing s**t and seeing everything there is to see, THEN settle down.
this way, you wont be wondering anything. you got time, lady. use it while it's still yours.
that's all i'm saying.

i dont think age is too big of deal for marriage. maturity, loyalty, and financial status i think are the main factors.
