RULES
User Image

  1. I believe it goes without saying to follow the ToS as well as whatever rules I put in here

  2. I, Between Angels and Gods, am God here. Over time, I will select others to be gods/goddesses over the rest of you. What I say goes. You'll get two warnings from me before I boot you out.

  3. No godmodding. Even I won't do that.

  4. No chat speak. I like to be able to read whatever I'm going to respond to. Most of us here should be able to speak English well enough. Try to avoid typos, please. If you notice someone made a typo, feel free to tell them. If someone tells you that you made a typo, don't have a tantrum. They're only helping you to become a better role player. You don't even have to say "thank you" (although it would be polite). Just fix it.

  5. OOC posts are frowned upon, so I'll make a separate thread for them if you'd actually like to get to know the other guild members. God forbid. Just kidding, but if you have to speak OOC, please make it obvious it's not a part of the rp. ((you can do it like this)) {or this} [or this] //or this// (or even this)

  6. No one-sentence posts. That's usually a signal that the rp is dying slowly but surely. This should be detailed to keep it interesting. The least amount of sentences that I'll allow is three sentences. No less.

  7. Violence, swearing, and romance are okay. For the violence, don't make it stupid. Please. I've seen too much crappy violence that isn't planned out at all. Swearing, just don't over-do it. Don't drop the f-bomb every other word. Swearing doesn't make your character any cooler. Romance... oh god. Please, please, please don't make it squishy romance every other post. The focus of this rp is not to hook up your character with someone else's character.

  8. Humans. Any body have a human character? If you do, that's freakin' awesome and I applaud you for not following the massive uprising of vampire, half angel/half demon, god knows whatever else creatures. There's a reason there are so many different species ruling the different nations. We want humans, vampires, werewolves, demons, angels, and all those other things. If your character is going to be something that isn't mentioned, PM me about it and I'll either approve it or not. So please, pay attention to the different species. Don't make some weird part demon/angel/vampire/human thing. Thanks.

  9. All character profiles must be PM'd to me. There will be an application set up as a sticky thread. PM the profile to me and if I approve it then I'll put in in the application forum so others can see it too.

  10. Okay, seeing as there are going to be a few NPC's for this rp, I want everyone to know in advance that when someone (not always me) posts in green then they are posting as an NPC. So if you're going through town or whatever and you go to a shop or tavern, feel free to have people interact with your character by posting the barkeep's actions in green or even the random harlot in the corner. Unfortunately some NPC's are off-limits to all but a few people. They'll be listed in a separate thread.

  11. Every country will be divided into different threads. You will post in the thread pertaining to where your character is located.

  12. At the top of each post and on its own line, you will post your location within your region-thread. It will be in bold and underlined normal-size font. Doing it this way will allow others who may be posting in that thread know if they are near you or not. That way they don't respond to something you said from hundreds of miles away. That would be awkward. Just post what city, forest, ship, desert, etc. you're in. You already know what country you're in if you're posting in that thread.

  13. No quoting. It stretches the page and looks bad.

  14. I don't know if this rule is necessary or not, but I must be clear. You will write as if you were writing a story. An example of what not to do is this:

*walks in and looks around* Anyone here? he asked quietly.

That is bad! Do not post something like that! When speaking, "Post with the proper quotation marks, like so." Also, please use proper capitalization, grammar, and spelling. I cannot stress this enough. I don't need my eyes bleeding while I'm reading what someone posted.

  15. If you are a member of this guild I would advise you to add me to your friends list so that I may send out mass PM's rather than send them out individually one by one. Also, if you are hoping to send me your profiles you will need to have me on your friends list in order to PM me, as it is set to "Friends Only".

  16. I am free to add however many rules I want. If I add more, I'll notify everyone, so pay attention.

Battle Rules

Alright, seeing as this is a sort of adventure RP there are bound to be fights. In fact, I encourage fights in the role play. I want there to be both good guys and bad guys, that way this doesn't get too boring.
So, we're gonna need some rules so people don't accidentally start godmodding or something. I'll keep it simple though, so don't panic.

Before the actual battle ensues, if you and your adversary are unsure of who will win, you may do one of two things.User Image

  1. PM the person(people) you will be battling and ask them how they would like the battle to turn out. Of course be sure to tell them how you would like it to turn out as well. This option may take a while, so just keep posting your responses to the fight and keep it neutral until a decision is made.
  2. Do a dice roll of 10 ten-sided dice. Those who are in the battle can call highest or lowest roll to determine the winner. You can also use this decision if you can't come to terms through a PM.

Feel free to draw out the battle as long as you and your adversary like. Just be sure that you all are in agreement with whomever wins the battle.

Also, keep in mind a couple of things.

a.) If a bad guy wins, the bad guy may want to take whomever they defeated as a hostage. This can only further advance the storyline, so don't discount it.

b.) If a good guy wins, they may not always get to kill the bad guy. The only way you can kill the bad guy is if the role player in charge of that character says you may. Otherwise you may be stuck taking the bad guy prisoner or even letting them go to fight another day.
