F.A.Q.
Every time I'm asked a question I'll list it here.
Q:
Where exactly do we roleplay?
A:
There are normal threads named after the countries where you can roleplay. You'll notice that most threads in the normal forum are Stickies. The roleplaying threads are not Stickies.
Q:
Is the Lycan species in the rp restricted to only using claws in the wolf form?
A:
When they are in wolf form they literally are wolves. They are not humanoid in any way and would therefore be unable to weild man-made weapons in that form. So they'll be restricted to claws and teeth in wolf form, but when in their humanoid form they can obviously use other weapons.
Q:
Though it's explained in other places that battles and such happen I haven't found anything that says what problems the humans/angels have. Do they send out units to protect other villages or do they mostly keep to themselves. Furthermore, do the vampires or other evil forces bother them on native soil.
A:
Well the Humans and Angels on Sundosia don't really have many problems as far as internal strife goes. They only worry about what's going on in the outside world.
Yes, Vampires and other bad guys would frequent the villages on the outer reaches of the continent, so it stands to reason that they'd send out units and have have small city militias in some places to protect cities and villages.
Q:
What about sending the military off the island? As in pacifying other places such as vampire infested towns away from the main vampire country, Asythea.
A:
No, the military in Sundosia isn't sent away to other places because they'd rather not get involved with what's going on outside. They're only concerned with keeping their own people safe and they'd rather everyone else fend for themselves. Of course that doesn't stop them from dealing with the other countries. They just don't pick any fights with them and they prefer not to choose sides. I think if push came to shove they'd join up against the Vampires though.
Q:
Question about the Arcana. How do we go about revealing our... uh, identities, if we are forced or otherwise have to do so? Say, I opt to befriend someone and and because of that friendship I reject Eris. How does this work, exactly? Is it OOC in manner?
A:
I think you'd just have to play it out in the roleplay somehow. Just kind of work the drama that goes along with it, you know? Think of it as a situation for a double-agent.
Q:
Currency! How/what is it made of?
A:
I've decided on a simple approach... gold! lol, well gold, silver, and copper. Each country has their own coinage, but it all boils down to those three metals. Of course the more pure metals are worth more than others. There will be some gold coins that also contain bronze or some other precious metal that won't be worth as much as pure gold. Same goes for silver. Pure coins are prized above all else and are rare to find.
Gold is obviously at the top of the foodmoney chain, followed by silver and then copper.
I will now randomly make up how much each is worth and such.
(G) = Gold || (S) = Silver || (C) = Copper
65 (C) = 1 (S)
25 (S) = 1 (G)
Of course there will also be half-coins, but those would be really random.
Q:
Can Humans use magick?
A:
Yes. They can learn magick (if they haven't got it in their blood through inheriting it) by making a deal with a god or goddess that grants magick to their followers. Anyone can use any kind of magick if they make the right kind of deal with a god or goddess.
Q:
What sort of magick does Helshive grant?
A:
Alright, Helshive would grant blood magick, which is what Vampire priests and whatnot study. Of course, if you make the right deal, even a Human can learn it. Blood magick is one of the few magicks where the user actually has to harm their own body in order to use the power. They use their blood to form weapons, barriers, and the like. They don't need a lot, because a little goes a long way. More experienced users in blood magick can actually use the blood of others to do damage, but that would take forever to learn. I'd say 70 years, at the least.
Q:
What sort of magick does Dereshvol grant?
A:
Dereshvol would grant what I like to nickname mind ******** magick. I hope you're not offended easily. Anyway, it's just illusionary magick. It's similar to what the Navnlos can do, but it's not as effective, since if it's learned it isn't as potent. It's still pretty damned good against anyone who can't protect themselves against magick though. Obviously the user is able to insert illusions into their opponent's mind. For instance, the user could make the victim think that their worst nightmare is coming to play. They can make them think that instead of talking to the magick user, they're really talking to a trusted family member or ally. They can make them think that a small crack in a gaping crevice. You catch my drift, right?
