Refreshing water, such a wondrous thing. Watering holes had that potential to spread like a disease an infectious itch for romance. Uumizi practiced this vigil on a regular basis. Truly these miraculous ponds were a gift from the gods. What else could be so easy? Find an unsuspecting and naive lioness, swoon and woo her under the atmosphere and soon enough he had her. This is how it should go according to plan.
The time of day was perfect as the cooler it was, the easier it would be to make small talk with any. It was late in the afternoon and not yet the hour of dusk. For the time being, he was propped against a rock, surveying the current locales if any would pass through. Not much fellow felines were out, and at the hour none he could make out. There were plenty of birds and zebra far out to the west, but he was not concerned with games or a meal right now.
"Patience is the key...now if I only could find just one, the game will begin." He reassures himself within the cases of thought. At intervals he would try to stretch and strut before returning to rest again to this rock. It gave a proper display if any female did just show up, they would have a good show at his expense.

A leopardess with a white coat and strange purple markings jumped down from one of the trees and the direction towards the male lion. Keilantra was just out for a drink...helping her oldest daughter with all of her cubs was a big job even if they probably could manadge by themselves she wanted to help.
This leopard was a little bit smaller then usual but still strong. Life had treated her well she was still very beautiful with her ice blue eyes, soft white coat and those purple markings suited the coat very well.
She had already noticed the male lion but ignored him when she passed by she just wanted to have a drink nothing else..actually she had a hard time trusting males but that didn't meen she had to be unpolite just simply ignore him would be enough.

The dark lion cocks his head to the side as a glisten of white fur catches in the reflection of one of his orbs. Beauty was easy to point out in the Savannah to him, as it only followed females at most times. Well that was what he thought and that was besides him who he knew was just irresistible.
His concentration was broken for the moment, but it was what he was expecting and a smile flourishes across his face. "Now that is something I would not see everyday." He murmurs to himself and decides to stretch from his spot and investigate, getting in just a little closer to the female.
She appeared strange to him, was she a lioness? No, there was some differences and he was certain to it, but her beauty was not misjudged from what he first saw of her.

The female moved graciously trough the area and sniffed a little bit in the air. She wanted to find a good place to drink but the male lions scent was the only thing that got stuck up in her nose at the moment...her tail flicked a little bit. Surley this female had been granted beauty but why couldn't just some men leave her alone sometimes..
Oh well she could easily just leave if her botherd her to much. He was just a young lion male after all. A small smile coverd her lips for a few seconds as she continued to walk. Sometimes she wounderd if she really was that charmy? atleast she had some effect on males but for her it always felt as the wrong one since she could never be enough for them to stay..
A pink and yellow peacoak feather stuck out from behind her left ear it always reminded her not to do the same mistake a third time..

Uumizi plays it rather cool. Instead of just barging in on the female, he takes his time. He struts in closer to her very slowly, giving him ample time to observe closely all of the beauty she had.
"Not too shabby, quite the looker if I do say so myself." He murmurs, watching as she seemed occupied in looking for something. No matter, he thought as she would undoubtedly fall victim to some of his charm. He could make himself appear uninterested in her, that should work to provide an opening to converse.
The dark male slinks in and arrives behind her, walking to the left and subtly touching his tail's tip against her back. "So tell me, is there a reason why you are out here, or you just fancy looking for others to run into you?"

Keilantra didn't have anything against talking to another creature or just simply saying hallo but the touching part she couldn't agree to. He might be young and stupid but he probably no idea who he was playing with...
She simply just stopped and looked into his eyes with her ice blue eyes. They where not soft and warm as they use to be as when she was younger now they where as cold as the ice. She had been hurt to many times and it would take a lot of time to soften her up again.
" Little one...are you lost and need some help? "
She talked to him as he was a small cub that had gotten lost from his mother...but if he was gonna play this game then she could do it too in her own way.

The lion nearly roared in laughter, finding it very difficult to keep a straight face. She did not just address him in such a way did she? Well it appeared to be so and whatever. She was touchy then on the whole communication and conversation of another.
"I doubt I could be considered a cub, but what may I say are you? I only ask as I never have seen one like yourself." Uumizi takes another step forward and then sits in place. "If I were that young I gather to be smitten by your looks and charm? We merely just met and forgive the flattery but you do strike me as something beautiful and I am merely passing through if that is not too much trouble, is it?" His eyes would stare back into those iced orbs that sent a chill under his fur, just what was her deal in attitude? It should be hot in these parts, but around this female it only made him feel cold.

Keilantra blinked...she was a little bit surpirsed the lion hadn't met a leopard before? hmm well atleast lions use to know how leopards looked like. Keilantra's heart could never be cold and unfriendly for more then a little while it was no who she was anyway..
" You never met a leopard? "
Sometimes leopards and lions was not that diffrent even if there was somethings that kept them apart. For example lions where pride animals leopards where loners. Sometimes she wished leopards could build prides like lions did...she envied them.
" You have to excause me but everytime i look at myself i don't see this beauty as everyone else says they can see.. "
Keilantra's selfconfidence was bigger when she was younger but latley she had just been feeling so tired of everything.

Uumizi stares at her a bit more, getting a better look at her. He was not mistaken in the beauty part, but perhaps that was coming more from her uniqueness he was seeing vastly with her before him. She radiated it. Her pressence felt like a lioness, but his eyes were decieved by what was there. Is this what a leopard was? Very interesting, this would be a perfect game to play since he had the right company today.
"No and think nothing of it. So what brings you out this way? If I am not mistaken, this area is not to be taken lightly if you dwell farther from here. Have you traveled much?"

Keilantra didn't mind the starring at all really she was use to it. Lions to her was just a bad experience even tough she did like them they where so special maybe those lions that she had met had just been the bad ones? she didn't know..
" Well i traveld around just but latley i tend to stick close to my family "
She said to him and gave him a smile. But she knew most areas yes...since most of her life she had been traveling around but her latest litter had made her stay to a one more personal area.
" Do you live here or is this your first time around this area? "

Uumizi listens to her calmly, still swept up in her appearance as that veil starts to drift away from his mind. He grins at her response and question, poised to be seated close to her with his tail swaying against the ground.
"So you have done so yourself? Very nice. I'm new to these parts, but...I have dwelled beyond here and that is where it proves to be difficult in getting around. I would not wish for you to see what I have out there."

Keilantra turned her head to look at the lion male instead he had quite and interesting coat with that black and red the ones around her always had lighter colors..
" Hmm well it's a lot easier if you know the area i guess..if you have any questions feel free to ask i have been living around here for quite some time now.. "
It was the truth she knew almost everything around here good hunting grounds, hiding spots, resting spots, drinking areas and so on. Atleast she could help out a stranger right?

"Are you always so cheerful to those that are new, or am I a special one? Forgive the forwardness, but in these days it is not something common to me." He grins in thought before speaking once more.
"If you know the area, why not first directing me to someplace where you can satisfy thirst? As long as you are offering on information, that would help the most, please." He says, still keeping that smile and adding a little bow with it in politeness.

Cheerful...she knew she wasn't very cheerful at all but she didn't know this guy and she didn't trust him either but she didn't feel afraid around him either he was just a young lion.
" Well i could show you to the closest water hole...it's only a few minutes from here "
She said and wagged her tail camly from side to side. She had nothing against showing him to the closest place for a drink.
