Well I'm curious about how people name themselves and why. Some people pay a lot of mind to it, others don't care. Me for example, I put a lot of thought and research into mine.
Kurou Mugin:
I started off just being interested in crows. I deem them a sort of symbol to define me. They aren't the ever revered eagle, but they seem just as beautiful for being dark to me. Moving along... I then researched a bit about them. I found out that Huginn and Muninn are the two crows that traveled across the globe daily to gather information for the Norse god Odin. They mean Thought and Memory, and seeing as both of those are important to me I shortened it to one word, Mugin. After deciding that didn't seem right all by itself I came up with a name reflecting Crows without just being crows. Thus Kurou came to be. I put the two together and now I have a name I love and that defines me pretty decently.
Well what about all of you? How did you find/think of your names? Do they mean anything important to you?

It was a result of frustration.
I remember I was playing Harvest Moon. I made a mistake or dropped something important or something like that and I just started yelling nonsense. At one point I realized I had said "achiba" and thought it was funny so I named a cow that. A week later my friend introduced me to Gaia and since I couldn't think of a username I just used Achiba. Now it's my username for pretty much everything.

well..
when i first digned up for gaia, i was something liek
'depression_713'. lame? extremely.
i made another account and called it 'shyla7'
because i had thought shyla was my guardian angel's
name or something, and i lieked 7.
then i made this account. it first started out as lutheria14.
it was just a random name i had made up.
when i found out how to change your username, i took
off the '14' and made it Lutheria. then i had a porcelain doll
named 'artemis moon', so i wanted that as my gaian username,
but somebody already had it. only, when i tried to type it
in, i spelled it 'Atremis Moon', so that became my username
for a while. so after that, my friend and i gave each other
nicknames, and mine was 'Solar Valentine' which i then
changed it to. but recently, i changed 'valentine' to 'artemis'.
except, some inactive retard already had 'solar artemis' so
i just added the 'lady', making me 'Lady Solar Artemis'.
i'm not sure if i really liek the username i have right now
all that much, but.. i don't know. if i wanted to change it again,
it'd cost me a fortune!

well, i came up with this name for the guild mule because
i didn't want it being 'fallen souls guild mule'. i wanted a
little bit of personality in the name, so aat random, i decided
i want 'amphibious' somewhere in the name, and since i have
four cats, i figured 'feline' would fit perfectly. :]

@_@ wow! That's a lot of name changes xD. That's a lot like me..except when I switch sites. I could never be bothered renaming a charachter and I am rather pleased with my current name. Also Amphibious Feline does sound better then guild mule.

yeah..
this is the only site i know that lets you change your name,
and i'm really glad they let you do that, because i don't really
liek the username 'lutheria14' and would hate to be stuck with it.
i mean, i liek 'lutheria' just not the '14' involved.

I usually try to have a name all encompassing of who I am. So rarely is my name just random gibberish. Yet as I change... I kind of wish my name would xD.

well.... i started gaia as mercreature.
it was just the name that popped into my head when i was making my dA account, and it kinda stuck for all my accounts then.
but then i realised what a dumb name that was, so i came up with this one out of the blue.
i want this name in rl, or at least Emilia. taht would be uber coolness ^^

wow, panseh, you've had even more names than me!
and of course, i met you when you were ipanseh, so
naturally i can't grow used to calling you drug or hannah.
it's just this odd thing. of course, people who have no
idea who panseh is might be a little confused with who
i'm directing my words to, but they should manage to
remain pretty sane.

Lol wow so many names. Hopefully this teaches everyone a bit more about each other. It's pretty cool how this thread worked out. By the way, this is my first ever gaia thread I made. o.O congrats to me? lol
