Same town..New faces. No matter how long you lived in this city, you found that nothing was evert the same. You could befriend the best person in the world, only to find they hadnt made it and had dropped from sight.

Oz Parker was not one of those people. The actor had a fairly continuous role in a partially known Soap that had premiered not long ago. His character was on the rise, or so he hoped.

His break from the scene, was normally to the Cafe shop he frequented. He loved his coffee, and swore by its powers to make him act better. Though, he did know this was not possible..But hey, why not say it was.

He pushed his hair from his eyes, and walked to the counter, money out and ready. A regular as he was, he knew the exact cost of the Coffee, black, with a little spritz of mint.

"Hey Oz, nice to see ya."
The cashier said, handing him his coffee and taking the money.

"Hey Saul, keep the change."
He said nodding a greeting.
He turned to scan the area, noticing the shop was rather small, and the tables were close together.
He hated being next to those he didnt care to know.. It almost seemed.. dirty.
He was almost germophobic, but only to certain people. The right girl comes along, he forgot it pretty quick. He had always been one to notice a pretty lady.

Taking a seat at the far corner of the shop, he prepared to people watch.

Riley pushed the door to the cafe opened and looked around curiously. Since coming to the States, she hadn't gone out much, mostly staying in her apartment or practicing in the studio. The cafe had been recommended by one of the receptionists, and after a long week, she had begun to feel a little cooped up.

She ran her dark hand through her short hair and walked lightly across the floor, towards the counter.

She imagined she got quite a few number of stares, wearing her practice shoes, as well as two skirts layered over each other and a tight black shirt. Her arms were adorned with two different colored arm warmers and one bracelet covered in random buttons.

Bret was uncommonly cheerful today, if a bit weary. She didn't know what it was about the sun, but beautiful days always seemed to bring out the best in her. Today, the redhead felt a bit more at peace than usual, as she skipped down the street in her high heels.

Her feet stopped her when she spotted a small cafe. She might be chipper, but she could always stand to be more caffeinated. She'd done a long workout that morning, so the boost of energy would be a blessing.

So she stepped into the cafe, removing her shades so she could see better. Hazel eyes scanned the small shop and liked what they saw. Despite her fear of intimacy with strangers, she felt drawn to small cozy places. As usual, she paid little attention to the other patrons. It wasn't being snotty. She just didn't want to be caught staring at anyone.

She ordered a medium coffee with lots of cream and no sugar as well as a bagel with veggie cream cheese. Smiling at the thought of a nice, quiet break, she quickly strode over to the tables, her eyes on one by the windows. She shimmied her way around the chairs and was almost there when she tripped.

Being the klutz that she was, she had foreseen this possibility, and with some amount of crazy luck, managed to land in a chair without spilling her food, and with only a slight bump to her hip and arm.

Blushing a shade of red that nearly matched her hair, she quickly straightened out, praying that nobody had seen.

He was the type to ignore a Klutz, but never the type to ignore when two lovely girls had walked in.
One was lean, and muscled, and had on dancewear. Ah,a dancer. He liked dancers, they were always so nice to him..He had always been a hit with the ladies.
And one was a redhead, who, in all honesty he was sure he hadnt seen before..He was even having a hard time figuring out what she might do here..

She seemed quite..awkward, but she also seemed, well..cute.
He smiled at each of them when they looked up from whatever they were doing..

Oz's eyes went back to his script, that had been pulled out from his pocket, and was rolled like a newpaper. But his eyes went back to the girls, as everyone else in this place had failed to catch his attention.
He wondered if they knew who he was..
Something to Share was a hit, or at least the soap opera had been given good ratings, and he himself had become quite the favorite character among the cast.

He had always gotten by with others knowing his face.. He'd even had parts in a few odd and end movies. All supporting roles, small and unnoticed, but he was working his way to the top.

He looked back up, his green eyes watching them both, ticking back and forth..

He was so suave usually, what was keeping him from saying hi to them?

Well..they werent together, and that would be trying to talk to both at the same time..and he knew from experience that never worked.

Riley ordered a chai tea, having a little difficulties at first, as the person didn't seem to understand her accent. She sighed. It always seemed to be the case. It was probably a good thing that her job wouldn't require her to speak that much.

She turned around blowing on the hot drink. Riley had always loved the bracing taste of coffee, but she had discovered this sweet, subtle tea since leaving Egypt and found she liked it, and had switched from coffee to tea, trying any different type she could find.

As she turned she almost laughed as she watched the girl trip, realizing she knew her.

"Bret!" she called out, waving and wondering if the girl would remember from their brief encouner. She still had to get together with her to talk about some choreography.

Bret looked up suddenly at the sound of her name, a horrified expression in her brown eyes. The expression quickly softened into a sheepish smile when she saw Riley. She hadn't even noticed the other dancer when she had walked in. Bret prayed that Riley hadn't seen her trip, but even is she had, at least it was someone she knew.

"Hey Riley!" she called out hesitantly, a small smile creeping across her face.
"Er, come sit with me?"

A sudden impulse made her look over to her right, where she almost felt like someone was looking at her. She looked away quickly when her eyes met the good looking man, hoping she had managed to make the glance look nonchalance.

Trying not to blush, she looked back at Riley, hoping she'd sit down.

YES. As luck would have it, the dancer joined the redhead at the table, and he stole quick glances here or there to know that. He had not been staring, but..Well, yes he had, he had been staring, yet more subtle than just wide eyed and gawking.
Today might be his day..
Standing, he smiled, teeth bright and pearly. His emerald green eyes sparkled, and he meandered over to the table where the two girls were sitting.

As he got closer, he tried to put his 'charm' face on. He had always had a gift with the ladies.Always, and he was about to show how.

"Good afternoon, ladies. Would either of you mind some company?"
He asked, looking back and pointing to the corner of the cafe where he had been sitting.
"As you'll see, Ive been by myself and dying for conversation.."
He said with a nod.
His script was rolled up in his hands, as if he was waiting for someone to ask what it was.

Hey, it was all he had to impress a a pretty girl, so his options were slim.
He hoped the duo would allow him to sit with them.. Because rejection was not part of his name, and he never really wanted to talk to anyone..so this shouldve been seen as an honor, more than an inconvenience.

Besides, for all they knew he was a top notch of the city, and able to get them auditions..But he wasnt..so he hoped they didnt ask that first.

The young woman looked up at the person who had approached the table she had just sat down at. Darn! She had been about to ask Bret about helping her put together a routine. Riley shrugged her shoulders up and down. Oh well, she was sure it could wait.

"Oh, um...I guess I don't mind..." she looked at Bret. As a general rule, Riley didn't mind meeting new people, so she didn't mind if he joined them, but she couldn't speak for Bret.

Looking closely at him, she could swear there was something familiar about him, and she tried to recall. Vaugley, she remembered an ad on the side of a bus with his face plastered on it. Huh...now she wondered what the ad was for, and if he was part of the same agency she was.

Just then the bell attached to the door sang again as Brodi walked in. He had a pair of large, oversized headphones around his ears, the back of them hanging around his neck, and a messenger bag flung over his shoulder. He bobbed his head to the music that was playing from his iPod in his back pocket. He walked up to the counter as he ran his fingers through his jet black hair and blinked his bi colored eyes, taking the phones off of his ears to order.

As he waited for his hot chocolate, he leaned over to peek at the sweets in the glass shelf on the other side of the counter and spotted a large blue berry muffin.

"Can I get one of those too? Thanks man." He asked as he took his order and walked over to one of the tables, smiling to the other people in the shop as he passed.

Riley couldn't help but lean forward, to see around the man standing at her table and stare very pointedly at the one at the counter.

The way he moved with his headphones on suggested to her that he might be more than just an admirer of music (as she was well trained in how the body responded to beats, rythems, tempos, she prided herself on recognizing musicians and fellow dancers).

She had always had this weird thing for muscians. They were like dancers themselves, only expressed how the music moved them in a different way.

Almost falling over as she jerked backwards to avoid being seen staring, she blushed deeply. She had to stop doing that!

Brodi caught the sight of the girl jerk in her seat. He smiled and walked over, leaning in close to whisper to her,

"Careful now." He said as he gave her a wink, closing his brown eye to stare at her with his ice blue one, causing a sharp contrast with his jet black hair.

He causally walked past them to sit at the table behind them, his back facing the girl as he reached back and took his iPod as well as a pair of drum sticks out of his back pocket. He placed the MP3 player on the table and placed his sticks in his bag as he pulled out a white MacBook computer.

He started up the computer and started to play with the music writer program, creating beats he heard in his head.

She wasn't sure if it was supposed to bait her into following him or not, but she couldn't help but 'eep!' softly as he bent next to her ear.

After waiting to make sure he sat down and didn't just leave the shop, she stood up, somewhat distractedly.

"Here...you can have my seat," she said to the other man. "I'll catch up with you later on, Bret,"she finished.

Obviously she couldn't just stroll over, as he had already seen her staring, so she figured she might as well make the most of it.

Riley plopped down at the table and smiled sweetly at him. "Hi. I'm Riley," she chirped.

He looked up when she sat down at the table and smiled, "I'm Brodi." He said as he reached across the table and turned off his music so he could converse properly.

He chuckled lightly, "Sorry about earlier," he said as he looked back over to the table she was sitting at before, "You looked like you were day dreaming, didn't want you to hurt yourself." he leaned back in his chair, and placed his arm over the back of the chair.

He reached his other hand over to close his computer, not wanting to be distracted from Riley.

Riley pulled her legs up onto the chair so she was sitting indian style on the chair. Being both tiny an relativly limber, she didn't have any trouble doing this, and always found it a more comfortable way to sit in chairs anyway.

"Oh, I wasn't really day dreaming," her thick accent intruded more on her speech when she was saying more then a few words. The black haired teen chuckled. "And it gave me a good excuse to get away from what might have been...an awkward time." She eyed Oz. He seemed overly confident and she'd hate to pander to that by giving him attention he seemed to be wanting.

"Am I intruding?" she asked, now a little nervous as she watched him shut the laptop. "If you have work to do..."

"Oh please no, it's not work." He said as he laughed again, closing his eyes in the process. "It's just for entertainment." He said as he resisted the urge to pick up his drum sticks and play her a little tune in example.

He took a sip of his hot chocolate and almost chocked from the unexpected heat. "Mmm.." He placed the cup back down, "Do you mind if I ask you where your from? I've never heard that accent before."
