Dubu plodded along, paying careful attention to his surroundings. He liked this watering hole because not only did someone always seem to leave something behind, the temporary river that flowed into it brought things from further away. He'd already found two necklaces and a rather strange circular thing that was gold. It sounded like something was inside...but he couldn't tell what it was for the life of him.
He'd even gnawed on it a little, trying to get it to open, and failed. Strange....

More than anything else, Uziwa loved the water. He remembered his mother always telling him that he was born of the ocean... He even sometimes wondered what life was like as a fish... But then he passed the thought over, instead deciding that he liked life as a hyena much better. He still found himself drawn to the water though...
It was that attachment to the water that found him wandering towards a nearby watering hole... And he noticed the other hyena.
"Hello there!"

Dubu blinked and lifted his head, golden thing still in his mouth and a curious look on his face. Ah! There was the caller! And...it was another hyena! He sincerely hoped it wasn't another to make fun of his shaggy coat and 'un-hyena' like attitudes.
He set the thing down and smiled calmly at the other. "Good day."
