Fahamivu'doa pounced from one rock to the next, easily leaping up and down through the different heights of the rocks he played on. The surfaces on each were different: some had moss he could grip, others had sharp edges he had to watch out for. Most of them had bugs crawling all over them. They were fun to squish when he landed on the rocks.
He wiggled his bottom almost comically, preparing to make the jump from a short rock to one that was twice as tall as him. Quite a feat in itself, if he could make it.
He could make it. He will make it.
Mivu's paws were outstretched as his hind legs pushed him upwards, into the air. His front claws caught the hard-edged stone and latched onto it. His stomach thudded against the side and he hung on for dear life, hoping not to fall.

Amadi flicked his tail as he walked through the pridelands. It was his home, the home that he llived in with his sister and brother. He had another sister and two brothers but he could hardly remember them. He had left them a while ago now and his memory was fading a little. He knew what they looked like but they weren't part of his life anymore and that didn't really bother him. After all how does one know what they are missing out on?
He decided today would be an exploration day so that he could just wander about without any real problems. His father trusted him and he wanted to know the lands around where he lived.
As he was wandering he spotted another cub jumping from rocks.
"Hey!" He called out and ran towards the cub. This could be interesting, a new friend already!

Mivu heard the voice, glanced over to see a black cub his age romping towards him, and he let go of the rock from the surprise. What was another cub doing out here? He was supposed to be playing.
"Hey," he mumbled back, sitting and rubbing his arm where it had hit the ground. His shoulder still kind of hurt from his adventure with his little sister, but it would heal soon. It wouldn't even leave a cool scar. That was the most disappointing part.
"What're you doin' out here?"

"I am exploring! My father is hunting and sister is somewhere so I thought I would explore!" He spoke quite quickly but that was through his excitement. He couldn't believe he had met another cub and another boy! He knew he had brothers but he didn't live with them and so other males to play with just seemed too good to be true!
"I am Amadi, what were you doing?" He thought he might as well introduce himself, after all you can't play with someone if you do not even know their name can you?

"I'm Mivu," he returned with a wary glance at the cub. Why was he so...energetic? The only other energetic lion he'd met was his sister, but even then, she was timid to show her excitement. For which Mivu was thankful for, but it was strange seeing it in another animal.
"I'm just...jumping, I guess." He gave a shrug. "The rocks are hard to grip, sometimes, so it makes it interesting when I jump from one to another. And then it's fun to jump down. The ground is soft enough to fall on if you slip.
"I've never really gone exploring before. How do you do it?" Mivu asked.

Amadi smiled as the cub said his name and he then repeated it in his head so not to forget. Mivu, it was a simple name and easy to remember. He liked those kind of names!
He then listened to the explanation of what the cub was actually doing, slightly confused as to how jumping rocks was fun but the cub seemed to think so. Maybe it was just because he hadn't tried it? He would remember to try it at some point.
"Exploring is easy you just go places you have never been before and look to see what you can see. There are lots of random things that are yet to be discovered!" Amadi loved to explore, he loved the lands his father had chose to let him grow up in. It was a beautiful place there was no doubt about it!

"Go to places you have never been before?" Mivu repeated, a confused look on his face. "I've already done that before. I didn't know it had a name. Exploring. I've done lots of exploring." He puffed up his chest with pride. He bet that this cub hadn't done as much exploring as he had.
He and Dayo had covered a lot of ground in a few days.
"Hey. You wanna go exploring with me? I haven't been that way yet." He tilted his head to the left, signaling where it was he hadn't seen so far. It would be curious to see how this cub would take it, and what Amadi would do. It could be interesting. And fun.

Amadi thought about it and then nodded his head. Exploring with someone else would be fun because then he could show his sister afterwards. That would be fun surely? Yes it would.
"Of course, that would be great!"
He looked in the direction that the cub had said and a huge smile came on his face. Another part of the pride to explore, so many things to see and hear and smell. He loved exploring, it was without doubt the funist thing he had found so far.

"Cool," Mivu said, hopping to his feet and stretching for a moment. His shoulder was kind of achey, but he shrugged it off. And then he started forward, kind of leading the way. He wouldn't mind, really, if Amadi came up to walk beside him instead of trailing behind. After all, they were kind of partners with this. Neither had explored this part of the lands before, so neither of them were really the good 'leader' to follow.
"Hey, which way do you think we should go first?"
Before them, there were three options. To the left was a worn path through sand and desert, a few sparse bushes here and there. To the middle was more rocky, boulders and boulders lined up the trail. And to the right held more trees. Mivu kind of hoped that that particular path led to a forest, or a jungle maybe. He'd never been in one before. It would be cool.

Amadi walked towards the three options ahead of them and smiled happily. He looked at them and then continued forward.
"Lets go up these rocks."
He loved climbing and the mass of rocks and bolders just seemed interesting.
"If it is boring though we can come back and you choose a direction!" It seemed like a plan to Amadi, that was for sure.

Mivu followed his new friend happily, pouncing onto a rock and trying to find a little pathway above the ground.
"Rocks are fun," he agreed. "That sounds good!"
Though he was pretty sure rocks would be fun, too. He had just been playing on the rocks, too, before Amadi had approached him.

Amadi loved rocks, he loved to climb them and jump off them and then try and jump onto them, they were just endless amounts of fun! So he led the way as soon as Mivu agreed and he started climbing over the rocks, who knew where it would lead to and Amadi was curious.
He sniffed at everything, somethings smelt okay and some things were just horrible and he wished he had never gone near it. All the while he was having great fun climbing over the rocky area.
"Where do you think it will lead?" It was a fair question and he was really curious.

Mivu obediently followed his new friend up and down the small rock path, jumping where he jumped, landing where he landed, and following in the dusty pawprints left behind. The prints were almost the same size as his own.
Sometimes a bug would crawl across the surface, and Mivu would have to skid to a stop after a jump in order not to kill the thing. Although, at first, he did kill it. And got bug juice on his paw, which did not really smell good. After that, he made sure to watch out for them.
"Where it will lead?" he repeated, taking another leap onto another boulder before pausing and looking on to the path. It seemed like it went on forever and ever, but he knew it had to end. "Wherever it ends, I guess." He jumped again, landing on another rock.

He continued jumping about here and there before settling down on one of the rocks. This seemed to just go on forever and no where all at the same time. How strange this was and how easily he was bored.
"Okay I am bored, lets go where you would like to!"
He turned and smiled, apparently his attention span was very short.

It was really a good, long line of rocks, really. And it would probably be exhausting for him to follow the line until the end. Good thing his new friend decided to do something else.
"Ummmm," Mivu muttered, trying to think. "We could go back and choose a different path to follow?" he suggested.
