 It was a bright, sunlit day out. perfect conditions for a nice day of training, and toughening his son up for the dangers of the world beyond his protectors' watchful eyes. "Saffron, keep up now we're almost there." the perfect spot to train? Of course, that large boulder he'd met Shai that day a long time ago, beside the small shallow stream. Saffron likes water, right? Yes, he'd heard the kit talking about making bubles in water many times, perhaps he knew how to swim now, if that male Tsu had gotten down to those lessons. "I think you'll like the place I picked out for some training."

 "Alrighty DA!" He skipped on forward and trotted now. Getting to at least the back paws of his father da. "Da~ as long as im with you~ I would love it! ;D!" She kept on forward. Still with the scars that was left on his face, and on misc parts of his body.
Self defense? He could use some of that.. especially so he could help Lithium and help himself not to get killed.. but would it matter? No if it was for a friend. The chimy-boy took strides to almost match Signal's stride. He tried as hard as he could- then slowly managed to shift smoother.
Looking about and examining like Tsu had said to do. Jeiyana~ an adopted kit of Tsu~ had learned things just the same. Always know your surroundings.. and know where you came from. Nodding to himself ~ as he was making a checklist of what his training would be like.

Signal glances back at him for a moment and nods, somehow managing to never once step on his hair. Hopefully his kits wouldn't inherit hair as long when they grew up, it did get a little bothersome. "Has.. Tsu been teaching you to swim yet, Saffron? We're going to be near a small stream for training. It isn't deep but the bottom is too slick to keep standing on very easily."
Of course, the kit could perhaps eventually manage to create enough bubbles to have himself a small raft to keep afloat? That would be interesting, Shai would probably have a laugh at how many bubbles it would be..
Ah, finally the large boulder was just ahead of them. "Do you see it Saffron? that boulder up there is where we're going."

When his father went in to his strides. Saffron desperately tried to mirror his movements. The strong stride- proud. Manly. Oh- how he chimed when he was around his Da. Momma Da was always pleasant and wonderful! Oh oh and fun! But Signal- on the other paw was smoothed and more calming. There was just that -way-.
"Tsu taught me how to paddle!-! And ~ swim on the water- but he hasn't taught me how to go under.." He wavered... and almost tried, trying to talk and stride at the same time.
Once his father talked about the boulder- he looked up. There. "Wooooooowww~~" Saffron's eyes widened.. and a smile came to his face. "ITS SO BIG!" Compared to him anyways- he was growing up but still too small for this boulder- and momma da, and dad's paws. Nodding to himself as he troppled more and moved forward, beside his Da.
"Da- Da~" He kept hopping to match one stride of Signal's. "Whats are trainning gunna be about!? Are you gunna teach me how to break boulders with my paw!" OwO!! He squeaked and jumped about in circles with joy. Bubbles floating every which way in a circled motion..
"Or or~ use maaagiiiiiccc~~~ Hmhmhmhm!?" He looked up with his ocean blue eyes. Bright- soft and enduring.. Like if the innocence of saffy would stay forever.. Untamed.

Signal keeps an ear trained on Saffron's voice as the kit speaks in his energetic little trills. Ah, good. The older male was keeping good to his word then. "You don't need to know how to go under yet, here at least. The water here is not deep so there's no threat of that."
There, he passed the tiny little waterfall Shai had pointed out so enthusiastically before. But this time, no rainbow. Well, it would be there another time for Saffron to watch. His head darts back towards the boulder again before looking at Saffron again. "It is big, but there are some that are much, much bigger around here. This one is just the right size though." The perfect boulder to perfect his flipping, and teach a few agility tricks to Saffy was hard to find.
He nearly missed the kit's questions about their training just as they reached the boulder's foot. "What? No, no.. this boulder is a great spot to practice your agility and being flexible. You'll be able to flip like I can if we work at it enough." He nods assertively. "Shai is the one to ask about magic remember Saffon? I'm not sure the first thing to teach you with that."

"Agility. Flexible." He concentrated and skipped over to the boulder. Promptly sitting in front of it and wagging his petty tail from one side to the next. Pringing a smile of pit of joy. Really. Had he ever trained- he would have been dragging. No. Now he was springing with energy. "I got it. Flex~ and agillll.Agil." The word played on his tounge and made him spit a lil when his tounge stuck out. "Agility." He finally corrected himself and sniffed around the boulder.
"HmmHmmHmm" He went around in circles around the boulder, til he made an abrupt stop and looked around for his da. "Da~ Da~" He sang then quirked around the corner from behind the boulder. "Oh oh ^^;;; !! Sorry!" He squeaked and promptly bounced to his Father's side. "ok. Ill talk to Momma da when i sees him." He nodded and put a paw on the boulder. "I wanna learn all it is that you and this rock can teach me!" The horn on his head swirled a rainbow colored, then it dimmed in to a purple blush color. Waiting at the edges of his maw, a bright smile..
His hair flopping on one side.. preen. Nudging the boulder and padded the ground next to him. "Ok. ok im ready." He took his stance a lil ways from the rock and wagged his butt in the air. His tail flopping at the end of his rump. Just waiting.. to tackle this thing down and be a NINJA! Or just a stronger ulaya that Lith would be proud to be friends with.

Nodding once, a bit sharply, Signal pads over to watch Saffron closely. "Alright then. Now watch me closely and do just as I do. I'll start it off mall, but if it's too much we'll take it a little slower. Are you ready?"
Without really waiting for Saffy to answer again he crouches down to charge at the boulder and jumps at it to push off from the side of the rock and use the force to make himself do a small, simple flip backwards. He turns his head quickly just before landing to move his hair out of the way and plants his feet firmly on the ground.
"There. Did you see how I did that, Saffron?" He can't help the pleased smirk from his features, showing off even that little bit was always a nice little thrill.

The display of skill from his father.... By this time Saffron's jaw dropped. He didn't know how cool of a dad he REALLY was until that moment. Like everything seemed to matter in that moment. "OH WOW DADDY!" He said with glee, and his heart jumped in the joy of what he felt.
Jumping and clapping~ And with the emotional change- bubbles foamed out of his back.. and his fluttering tail.
"I SAW DA! I SAW! Jumping around again and then he stepped a few back.. slowly.. and then wiggled his rump up in the air- ready to pounce on it. "Ok. Ok I wanna try!" Then without even listening to instructions- he went full force in a straight run towards the rock.. All for it like if there was nothing in the way- which there wasn't. Then when he jumped, he didn't get enough air and he didn't know what to do once he was in the air or how much he needed. Result him turning his leg wrongly and slamming his back side on the rock and slip down head first in to the dirt that laid under the rock. Thankfully missing his horn by only an inch.. It that were to slam in to the ground- itd probley have an inverted horn D:!
His eyes blinked softly.. watching his legs dangle in front of his face.."Urrgg.. oww..." His knee scarped from the rock's surface.. shaking his head a lil.. "That.. wasn't what I thought i'd be.....like." Huffing some dirt off his nose..

Signal grins, a bit more cocky at the praise received from his son. Ah, it was always nice to be given some praise for what he was good at, yes. He pads back a bit to sit and watch Saffron's first attempt closely.
A small flick of his tail at the moment of Saffron's impact. With a light sigh he stands, shaking his head as he pads over. "No, no... we should probably start it out slower.." He stops just a couple inches from Saffron and uses a paw to gently roll him over.
"Come over to the water first for that scrape. Dirt will make it hurt. Then we'll try some easier ones. I got ahead of myself with that flip, alright? Some rolling flips on the ground are the best way to practice anyway. Rocks like that one are hard to come by."

His small soft cyan body had yes, a scrape or two. When his father's paw rolled him over- he looked up at him with big innocent blue eyes. Maybe he wasn't made like his father was, but he nodded anyway and gave his father that endearing smile.. Where it JUST hit the sweettooth JUST right. "Ya?" He pushed up on his paws and shook himself off before jumping again with joy. To learn.. But he was guided to the water and as they walked, bubbles popped- every now and again as he wobbled after his father. "Dirt- Soap hurts too!" Especially when your fur was almost semi always wet and soapy feeling.
Silky- and of course, it almost didn't seem to be clean ENOUGH. Or so his Momma Pa said. He was often dunked by the white male ulaya on several occasions to get cleaned but he didn't mind the constant suffocation- It meant Shai loved him!
"Well- Well we can try again? I can try harder!" He called after his dad and made it between his legs as he tried to keep up. "But what if my horn gets in the way da?" He almost whined.

Shaking his head a little amused at this attitude, not that he'd expected any less, Signal slowed his steps for the younger ulaya. "You tuck your head in when you roll on the ground in a flip. When you use the boulder like I did, you aim with your feet, not your head, for the launch."
"I had trouble when I was learning too, what do you think this hair was easy to run and flip with as a kit?" Heh, no way." At the water's edge he slipped a paw in to bring it back out and shake water off at Saffron lightly. "You have a horn to keep in mind, I have hair. Not too different in the end. Though a horn is a better weapon than hair is in the long run." not that he would really change his hair, oh no.. he was quite proud of the length.
"Yes we will try again. After you get that dirt off of you. What would your Momma Da say if he knew i let you get scraped up and have dirt in it hm?"

"Ooohh.." As if his father was born with the abilities, he was amazed that he had to LEARN it. Something that Tsu had told him of. The pale blue kit when up to the waters edge just as his pa did- and when he got splashed; immediately bubbles formed. But there wasn't too many and he giggled softly at the fact.
"Momma pa would simply dunk me and wash me?" A bright girly smile as his shoulders tucked in and laughed. Simply put as Saffron had no fusses about showering. Nope. He went in and dunked his head in. Shaking of the dirt that seemed to flow easily off him and thats when the bubbles formed. And as he shook his head more and more formed until there was like a tiny barrier of bubbles around him. He poked his head out and gasped for air as he turned with a mustache of bubbles. "Aye da! All done!" But when he said this, the tinge of pain surged on his head and lightly shook it off.
Then jumped out of the water and on to a small rock. His tail agging at full speed. "Com'on da! Show me more! I wanna be JUST LIKE YOU!"
