Usufii was out! Valse was too, it was really the weirdest sensation the lion had had in his whole life. They had to hunt for themselves, which wasn't so bad, but it was different. They didn't have any rules to obey, any cubs to watch, borders to patrol... The pair were able to do as they pleased, when they pleased, how they pleased with no duties whatsoever. (Save for those for survival- finding food, so on.)
Usufii had split up from his brother for the day and simply wandered anywhere, though he kept in mind where their rendez-vous point was. The grasses here were... Well, green, for the most part. Greener than those of the Outlands. No termite mounds, no termites.... The sun didn't seem nearly as cruel here, everything was new to him, it seemed. The teen took it all in as he wandered aimlessly.

Siti lay up in a tree enjoying the morning, it was still a short while before she would travel again. She decided she needed a break to really relax, she traveled nearly every day for several moons. She met many different characters along the way.
Today was to be no different. Siti looked out from her tree and spied a rather bright male, with beautiful green marking, that intrigued her very highly. She loved coats that were bright and colorful, such a contrast from her own white and red-brown coat.
She wondered for a moment about where the male had come from, for he still appeared a bit young to her, at least younger than she.
"Hello, down there," she called to the male.

A voice? Usufii looked around, but saw nobody. He was utterly perplexed, the horizon was clear. The male looked up- the only direction someone could possibly be, and sure enough! A darker-brown lioness sat up in the tree. Usufii had seen trees before, sure, but there weren't many in the Outlands, he'd never gotten the chance to climb one. He stood, bonded to the solid ground looking straight up. "Hey," he called simply. "What are you doing up there?" He demanded, brows furrowed with contemplation. That couldn't possibly be comfy, could it? After all, the bark was rough... Maybe she was hunting and he was disrupting it.
Ah well. Curiosity was greater, at this point. His eyes remained narrow as he attempted to make sense of the sight. Maybe there was a nice view up there...

Siti laughed a little of the confused looking male. She wondered if he was one on the ones who'd never seen a lion in a tree. She smiled and looked down her head hanging slightly over the branch she was perched in.
"I am relaxing, it is very cool in the shady leaves of the trees. I simply love it up here. Surely you've climbed tree as a cub, I love to climb, although it is not really I lion thing to do."
Siti sat up in the tree, but still made no move to come down. "My name is Nabila Siti. What is your name?"

"Usufii," he introduced simply, mind clearly on other things. "No, I've never climbed a tree," he said, also somewhat dismissively. "And what do you mean you're relaxing? How can that possibly be comfortable up there?" He asked, not looking straight up anymore, but still mostly up. From his tone, one could tell that that was what he was currently marvelling at. His emerald eyes flickered from the lioness to the tree's trunk.
Even she was odd, to him. Her words were all... soft. Usufii was accustomed to having to be on-edge a bit around others, but he quickly remembered that these were not the Outlands. These were the roguelands, and lions were probably very different out here.
So it would seem, anyway. Not a bad thing, not bad at all. He needed a change of pace.
"Where're you from that you climb trees?" he asked from the ground.

Siti smiled, "Usufii is a very nice name." She moved down to a lower branch so that she could have a better veiw of the young male. "I guess it does not surprise me that you have never climbed a tree and I think tree are very comfortable, up and away from other predators, in the cool shade with a great veiw."
Siti settled down on the branch allowing her paw to hang over, "I can sleep in peace and no will bother me. It is something I rather enjoy."
Siti swung her paw slowly back and forth, watching Usufii below. "I am from another part of the roguelands. I have always had a affinity for tree, always climbed even when I was little. I raised myself and I guess it just stuck with me."

"Well, I'm bothering you," he said with a smirk, whether or not he was didn't matter, as far as he was concerned. If he was up in a tree and someone demanded to be chatting with him, he'd consider that being bothered. "Huh," he said to himself thoughtfully. Usu liked to mull over things anymore... Weird as it was. Perhaps his pride had succeeded in taming him, somewhat. No matter, he would regain his rebelliousness soon enough out here.
"So Siti... I'm gonna try getting up there." He stated simply. Whether she wanted him or not, Usufii was going to try to get into the tree. There would be no simple accepting it as a good spot for the teen- he needed to know. He backed up a few paces, circled the tree, lowered his body, and charged, leaping at the last minute and extending his claws to grab hold of the trunk. Great, he'd successfully latched himself to part of the tree... Now what. He thought fast, he couldn't just hang there forever.
Usufii pushed off hard with his back paws, propelling him a little up the tree. Only a little, but it was enough. He latched onto a branch and pulled himself up, perching himself in a crook. He was about 1/3 of the tree away from where the other lioness was perched. He shot her a smug look. "Not bad for a first timer." Of course, he'd climbed termite mounds as a cub, this wasn't much different. Only... this had no termites.

"You are not bothering me," Siti replied, afterall it was she who called out to him. She hoped she was not being rude in remaining in the tree, but she always came down to meet the other lions, none had ever come up to meet her.
She watch Usufii think for a moment before he decide he would come up into the tree. Siti was surprised and attempted to call out saying that he need not come up but her words died as he jumped onto the tree and in her opinion, made his was very clumsily up.
She nearly laughed at the look she was given, thinking she had seen a cub climb better than he, but decide not to voice this. "No," she called, "not bad at all." 'Just a bit funny,' she thought.
Siti looked at Usufii who had not made it very far up the tree and decided to go down to him. "I am coming down," she called, before standing and making her way down to him quickly and with very agile grace.

"Alright," Usufii said, purposefully ignoring watching her come down. Well, partially because of the view from here. Through the leaves, the lion could see expanses of land, empty and free. He couldn't help but smirk at it. It was all his to roam. Not only to roam, but to do as he pleased. "Man, this is the life, let me tell you. You appreciate being a rogue, right?" He asked, tearing his emerald gaze from the horizon and sending it Siti's way.
"It's so... free." The whole idea was still so new to the teen, he was still a bit in disbelief. His thoughts turned quickly to his parents and his family, the only things he missed there, but then he knew... His mother would've wanted him to come out here too. To be with Valse. The simple idea bounced in his head, it was eating his entire being, but he had no problem with it.

Once made her way over to Usufii, she lay back down and made herself comfortable once more. She frowned when he asked her if she appreciated the rogue life, she appreciated, but she always thought there would be nothing like having a pride, having family.
"I would like to join a pride one day, settle down and have cubs, but for now I do enjoy being able to travel, going where I please."
Siti smiled and looked out over the lands, "yes it is very free, a great place to find yourself. You may do as you please, but you should be careful. Not all others are a friendly as I."

"Join a pride?" If he had it to do over again, and he had the choice in the first place... Usufii wouldn't have joined his pride. "And oh, trust me. I know there are less friendly cats out there." His thoughts turned to his past pride. He was sure that, if he went back and was caught, he would be maimed. He only hoped that Noyana was not punished for his running off with Valse.
"My pride was full of those cats. Mind you, those ones wouldn't just randomly attack anyone... well, most anyone, anyway..." His mind turned to their policy on hybrids. May the gods have mercy on your soul should you be a hybrid going near that territory... "But it was behave their way, or sneak your way out and never turn back." He said, divulging tidbits of his past to the stranger. He didn't mind, odds of running into her again were slim, and what did it matter anyway? Usufii didn't really have much of anything to watch out for in the world anymore. Only don't go near his old pride, and keep yourself fed.

"Yes I would like to join a pride, I've never really had a family. My mother and siblings we taken from me by a storm as a cub." Siti looked rather forlorn, she did not want to be reminded of the storm. She could not really miss her family, for she never really got to know them, but that hurt in and of itself.
Siti the thought from her head, "I most certainly would not want to join a pride of mostly unfriendly cats. I do not think I would be able to able to survive, I am far to friendly. I like to chat with everyone."
Siti smiled at Usufii, thinking it was funny he should mention leaving and never coming back. "Is that what you did, leave and never come back?"

"Yeah, I left. Couldn't take it anymore, they wanted to mold you into their behaviors... I've had enough. Same with my brother, the pair of us left, and we can't go back. Which, as far as I care, is just fine with me. I'll visit my mother discretely sometimes, I'm sure, but I don't intend on going back. I doubt we'd be..." he had to chose the proper word. "... Welcome," he said slowly, hoping she'd pick up on the underlying meaning without needing to spell it out. "So I left, and I'm perfectly content to be out here on my own, occasionally with my brother," he said with a nod toward her.

"Well that is what a pride does more often than not right," stated Siti, "but it is good that you can think for yourself and chose your own path."
Siti cringed a bit at Usu's words, she did not think it was a wonderful thing to know you would not be welcomed by those you grew up with. She looked at him and smiled, "So then you are exploring and enjoying your freedom then?"
Siti was happy to have her freedom for now to travel and enjoy life. She knew she wanted to settle down but it was nice to learn the land, meet new feline and make new friends. She had great memories thus far and she was happy she would be able to visit those whom she met in her journey's.
Sorry its so short@_@

Usufii rolled onto his back in the tree, eyes gazing skyward, as if he was trying to look far beyond the leaves. "You bet I'm enjoying the freedom!" He said, turning towards her with a grin across his muzzle. "It's just.... so much... completely different. And far under-rated, too," he said. The teen let his mind chew on that. He was free- he felt like he could fly just at that thought. He could do what he wanted, when he wanted, without a care in the world! All he had to do was meet up with his brother every day, just to make sure they didn't lose each other. Not a bad deal at all.
"No conforming, no holding back. It's something new," he said with a brow quirked. Usufii hadn't truly come to realize just what this entire turn of events meant, he was still trying to wrap his mind around it.
