 Azula walked out of the forest, turning her head against the glare. She blinked rapidly until her eyes got used to the light. Seeing no one around, she padded over to the river to get a drink. She could've just stayed in the forest of course, but the river looked better out here and the soft smell of flowers was everywhere. Walking back closer to the forest, she plucked a fallen apple and ate near the shade of the trees.

 Haru padded down along the edge of the river. It was in a bit of a huff, because everyone had been ignoring him and leaving him out lately. Something was wrong with Moma Forte, and Thanatos was grumpier then usual... Jaden the other male Forte would hang out with wasn't coming around anymore... So he took off to go and find something or someone to hang out with or something. He came out from a bit of a wooded area into a field that smelt like flowers. It caused him stop, and sniff around. He hadn't been here before, her ears twitched picking up a sound.

Azula's ears twitched. Did she hear something? She took a deep breath but if anyone was there, their scent was covered by that of flowers. She huffed. No matter. Whoever it was probably wouldn't intrest her anyways. She finished the apple, and got up, sniffing around to look for more. When she rounded a bend in the trees, she stopped. Another male was here by the looks of it. Her tail flicked in acknowledgement but that was all. His eyes were odd to her because they were such a bright shade of blue and after a moment, she resumed her search for more apples.

Haru blinked in her direction. Her pelt was very nice, nothing hes seen before. he was glad it was another wolf, rather then a human. He hadn't encountered one just yet. She didn't seem to care that he was there, and that made him feel a little disappointed. He was hoping for a friendly hello, and some conversation. After all he was new there... Why wouldn't someone come and investigate him. "Hello, excuse me~" He called out to her, and made his way toward her.

Her fur prickled at his stare but she ignored the feeling and peered up at a tree. Would apples be in there? She took a deep breath and sighed. No apples on this tree. Perhaps she should look where she found the first one. She turned to leave but stopped when she heard a sound. It seemed to have come from the male so she turned to look at him. "Hello," she said quietly, watching as he came closer to her. What would he want? she wondered.

Haru stopped a few feets away from her, and lowered his head. "I'm new to the area, and I was wondering if you could sort of give me the layout of the land?" He was hoping she'd be helpful, but she didn't seem like she would be one to help not that he had approached her. Maybe this was turning into a bad idea.

Her ears twitched. She wasn't completly sure what he was asking for. Layout? Hmm... it probably meant lay-them-out. His voice was nice. Maybe he would keep talking for her if she helped him out. Her parents had told her that if she gave something, she might recieve something in return. She pointed her muzzle to the trees behind her and said, "Forest." Then she looked to the stream where she drank from earlier and said "River." She did this a couple more times, saying "Flowers. Valley. Lake." and the like. When she was done, she ruffled her mane expectantly. She had helped him, now he would have to speak for her.

Haru blinked at her, she had pointed out of the obvious. Was she being sarcastic with him? He looked around, she nodded in the direction the lake was.. So maybe her information was more helpful then he had first expected. "Really? This area really seems to have it all." He laughed a little bit, unsure of her humor. "How long have ou lived around here?"

"Yes," she said. It was one of the reasons why she had decided to settle here, in the east. His laughter was nice, but something seemed off about it, as if he wasn't sure. She tilted her head in confusion. Did others laugh, too, when they were unsure? "Long time." she said to his next question. She was pretty sure many days had passed since she came here. She didn't really like speaking but at least this male's questions required small answers. She realized she didn't know his name and ask, "Name?"

She seemed receptive to him. Though she didn't talk much. Maybe she didn;t know how? or just didn't like to talk... He didn't want to come off as offensive and ask about that. "I'm Haru, What's your name?" He asked her, admiring her markings again. So she had been there for a while, that was good, she might be able to take him around or something... though that might be to intrusive.

"Haru." she repeated, as if to confirm. Then, using the tip of her tail to point to herself she said, "Azula." She noticed him looking at her again and wondered why. Did he like her pelt? The thought pleased her and she fluffled out her tail proudly. She decided she wanted to know more about this strange male she'd come across. "What is Haru here for?" she asked.

Haru laughed more to himself then anything, because she took notice to his admiring. "Azula..." He said. "Thats a really pretty name, its nice to meet you." He told her. He was glad things seemed to be going better. "I'm actually, just wandering around. My family and friends back home a little to busy for me, so I'm just looking to make some new friends to visit." He smiled some, hoping she would understand.

She swiveled her ears toward him, to better hear his laughter. It was a nice sound, better than his voice. "Thank you." she said softly to the comment. She hadn't recieved compliments in a while. She nodded when he told her he was wandering around. She knew what it meant because she, too, had wandered. "Family...?" she asked. Suddenly her ears flattened, and she felt a pain inside her that others had called 'sadness'. She didn't like the feeling and immediately changed the subject. "Friends?" They were something that you enjoyed being around, if she remembered right. "Azula is your friend?" she asked, wondering if he enjoyed her presence and smiled back at him.

Haru winced when he realized her ears flattened. He realized family was a touchy area, and was glad when she changed the subject. He didn't want to push her way with anything. "Well, I like like to be friends with you, if you're willing to allow me." He smiled at her smile. He wasn't one to assume, because then he might look like an a**. But so far he was enjoy talking to her.

She smiled back and nodded. It was nice that Haru had asked since she didn't expect it. It had been less than a day and already she was comfortable around him which was rare for her. Usually she would lose intrest in other wolves as soon as she'd met them and just walk away. Suddenly the sun rose over the trees and the glare was in her eyes again. She moved forward until she was next to Haru and used his shadow as a shade, relaxing when the sun was out of her eyes. She was glad that the heat hadn't settled yet, as she didn't like the feel of it on her fur, and she shuffled closer to Haru so that more of herself was in the shadow.
