 It had been about a week since the stand off. Haru hadn't know to much of what went on. He had been out with Lunar, and just on his own. He was an adolescent after all now. He mulled around the area that Forte and Thanatos had been staying. Forte has been sick. Well at least it thought it was being sick. She was barely eating, and just laid in one place most of the time. She didn't even look at you when you talked. Haru was worried, it wasn't even like Forte was that old... He padded over and nudged at one of her paws. Nothing happened. Haru was often to scared to approach Thanatos, he seemed either grumpier then usual or arrogantly triumphant. Haru couldn't really tell. Haru wen and laid near Forte and sighed. He wanted to know what was going on... He wasn't a pup anymore. One whole week with out Jaden. She had done days. But a week seemed to much. By now something in her life would have happened that required telling Jaden the details. He had been a staple in her life for a while now, and then he was suddenly ripped out and there wholes where he used to be. At Haru's nudge she didn;tsay move or do anything. What was the point? Depending on what he turned into, he was probably going to get yanked out. Numb... She wished Thanatos understood that she did need more then just him in her life. But what did he care? He's the one that caused the whole to be put there. She hated herself for the pain she Jaden, and the trouble she caused Thanatos, but its not like he even noticed. Who he even know if something was wrong with her? Probably not, she thought.

 Jaden sighed. It had been a week since he saw Forte walk away... with him. He thought back and didn't think he and Forte had been seperated this long before. He couldn't face anyone right now, especially Lunar, and he seemed to be losing his appetite more. The pain was still raw and his heart throbbed painfully when he remembered what had happened.... He got up and padded forward. After a few paces, he ran. Running always helped clear his head, made him forget. He was running a lot these days, sometimes in the seclusion of the forest and other times in wide open fields.

 Thanatos realized it's been a week since he brought Forte back home. He wouldn't have minded her making friends with a male so long as it was an alpha male....those males where a threat to Thanatos and his life with Forte. But it seemed as if that male...Jaden...had ruined what Thanatos remember of his life with Forte. Now she did nothing, said nothing, and laid around in a depressed stupor unbecoming of a female alpha. This upset Thanatos greatly. And due to Forte's current state of going nowhere Thanatos kept his distance since he didn't think he was capable of cheering her up. Cheer wasn't really in his personality description. Anyone that knew him since he was a pup would realize cheer....yeah didn't happen.
He watched as Haru went over to lay near Forte. The young male was finally no longer a mangy pup so Thanatos didn't pay him much mind no talked him. After a moment of watching the two Thanatos became tired of watching them and got off the boulder he sat on and trotted off. It was time for him to find some dinner before his tummy growled loud enough to warn his prey.

Haru looked over at Thanatos as he left. He wondered with him gone if he could get Forte to move around.. eat something, anything. Haru nipped at her ear.. "Moma... You really should eat something." his ears flattened as he talked to her concernedly. "Please get up and eat something.." He pawed at her some and howled a little, before he got up and went to follow after Thanatos.
Forte's ears twitched a little as Thanatos left but she didn't look at him. They twitched again as Haru nipped, and she looked over at him. She could see his worry and she sighed a little. She heaved her body up... She felt weak. It was probably good that Haru had said something. She wasn't hungry, but she after standing and feeling like this, she knew it was for the best... "I'm going to go into the woods... I'll be back..:" She said flatly, and she slowly and weakly vanished into the woods.
(This would be a good point for Forte and Jaden to meet up, and I'll have Haru go after Thanatos)

The sound of many wings could be heard from above. Jaden stirred, feeling exposed in the field with all the birds there. He got up and stumbled sleepily through the woods. He had just gotten up and was careless, not bothering to go about stealthily and paying no mind to the scents he found. A squirrel chattered angrily threw a nut at him and he shook himself, so that he would feel more awake. He smelled something familiar but his mind was still in a daze. Just a half-second later, he realized it was the smell of Forte, and it was fresh. Instantly, he was on high alert. His body tensed and he look around for a place to escape to but it was too late, he saw Forte in the small clearing right in front of him. And he was in plain sight.

Thanatos walked at a rather normal lumbering pace along the river. He kept his head low in order to find in smells from passing prey. He paused and sighed. Maybe he should have just left Forte with the male. Even though the thought made his hackles raise in aggression he felt that maybe it should have been something he did. Instead of thinking about himself he should have just left Forte....went out into the world in search of someone else. She didn't acted like herself anymore. She had changed and he didn't really like the change. Glancing back the way he came he suddenly took off across the river into the jungles of the South....

Forte's ears twtiched, and she lazily, looked back to see Jaden. She blinked at him, thinking she was hallucinating... But when she blinked he was still there... "J-jaden..?" She said weakly, turning herself around. It was like the part of her that died, had come back. She loved Thanatos, and she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him, but she wanted to be able to have her best friend around too... Take away one, and it was like taking away part of her heart. Thanatos had no idea what she went through waiting for him. Maybe if he had known that, she;d better understand why Jaden is so important to her.
Haru moved after him, not trying to him self by any means but when he ran Haru wasn't all that sure on what he should do. Should he follow him? Well it's not like he wanted to go hunting alone. Haru took off after Thanatos, he was hoping he'd be able to follow him easily enough. He sniffed at the air and followed that, but he wasn't sure if that would be good enough. Haru wasn't as fast as Thanatos... "Th-thanatos!"

Since it was taking some time for her to realize he was real, he decided he would slip away. As he was backing out, he heard her call him. He tried to leave, but his heart clenched. He couldn't just leave her like this. She looked worse since last time. Maybe he could just check up on her and then go? "Erm... hey. It's been a while." he shuffled rather reluctantly closer, dragging his feet. "How've you been?" he asked softly when he was a few feet away from her. He was still bitter over the fact that she had left him for another, but he couldn't be angry. Not at her. He kept his eyes away, afraid that watching her for too long would convince him to stay.

Thanatos was already quite a ways away but he still heard a voice on the wind. Haru.....that mangy pup was following him? Why? Why doesn't he stay with Forte? He's never bother to really stick around him so why is Haru following him? Thanatos' mind reeled around these thoughts. He had come to a stop and was looking back. Then he looked at the looming jungle in front of him. He'd left the neutral lands and had found himself in the southern jungles. A flash of orange in the depths of the jungle alerted him to another's presence. But he merely ignored it and glanced back the way he came where Haru was no doubt probably trying to find him.

Forte took in a breath and she looked over at him some. "I'm... miserable with you my best friend." She hoped he knew it was him. She sighed a little and sat. She wasn't to sure how to handle the situation. "How have you been Jaden?" She smiled some hoping to hear he was good. But he wouldn't look at her. She flicked her tail a little stirring up some of the grass. "I was thinking... About all of this..."
Haru looked around panting. Thanatos was certainly fast, and was at a better advantage then Haru. Maybe it was a better idea to just turn and go back... He was hoping to make hang out with him just a little, since he was with Forte all the time. He felt like he needed some male influence.. She padded forward some and sniffed at the air, and moved to follow at it.

It was a mistake. He should've left when he could have. He couldn't leave now, not if it was his fault she was miserable. His ears perked when she said 'best friend'. Did she mean him? It was hard to confirm since he wasn't looking at her. He felt her sigh and heard the grass rustle as she sat. His ears swiveled and strained, pointed in her direction, as if listening to her enough would make her come back. "I've been... well." he told her. He didn't tell her the truth, since he knew it would hurt her. His legs were trembling, to run and never come back or to go closer to her, he wasn't sure. "I've been thinking about this, too..." he faded off, unsure of what to say. He shot a quick glance at her, and regretted it. She looked as miserable as she felt. After a moment, he sighed in defeat and padded closer to her. He sat at an angle, so that more of his shoulder was facing her and asked, "So, uh... where's Thanatos right now?" His lip curled instinctively at the name and he tore at the grass with his tail angrily, waiting for her answer.

Thanatos lifted his muzzle towards the sky and sniffed the air lightly. As he savored the smells on the breeze one caught his attention. An another alpha, it must have been that orange flash he saw earlier. He wasn't in the mood for more conflicts with unknown alphas so he turned tail and went back towards the neutral territory. Shortly after he found himself at a different part of the river. He could have sworn Haru was behind him, but he never saw him..."Odd," he muttered to himself.

Forte looked over at him. "I think he went off hunting.." She smiled some when he moved closer and she looked over at him. "We can still hang out you know... We can meet when I go out to hunt or something." She looked at him hopeful. She moved her tail to lay ontop of his hoping it would calm him down. "Hey, what about the other female wolf that you had talk to me about, what happened to her?"
Haru had manged to get himself a bit lost. He looked around and sniffed at the air trying to get the scent again but it was hopeless. "Well damn..." He looked around wondering what way he should good and tried to tune into the river again but he must have been to far away. He trotted back in the direction he had come from and looked around at the trees. "I wonder where he went too..."

Well, at least that explained why he wasn't reating through the bushes right now, he thought. He calmed down, knowing Forte wouldn't lie to him and her prescence helped, even if he was reluctant to admit it. He looked at her and growled slightly, "Thanatos wouldn't let you." He didn't say anything else about the matter, even though accusations were running through his mind. He was startled at the mention of Lunar. "I'm not sure really. I haven't seen her for a while...." he drifted off, as he relived the morning he woke to find her gone. He felt guilty, since he knew it was his fault, for letting it slip that he was intrested in someone else. It seemed his relationship with females was at a current low.

Thanatos pinned his ears back in irritation. His hunting trip was cut short and now....Haru seems to have poofed. Bristling he trotted back towards where Forte was laying by following the river back. He caught Haru's scent at some point but it was fading as if he hadn't passed by recently. "Hmmm...this was probably him following me sometime ago..." he paused and looked the way the scent trail went and saw nothing. "Ugh..." Thanatos continued trotting back to the small clearing. "Forte..." he called "For-" Thanatos came to a stop as he noticed she wasn't there anymore. "Forte?" he called again and looked around the clearing. "Wonder where she ran off too....."
