Be a role model. Show how wonderful this community can be.
We Do Not: Scam/Hack/Deceive others.
Show disrespect towards another.
Judge another by the items they have or do not have or their join dates.
Make another feel unwelcome.

♥ I figured I would go more in depth about this movement and what it's all about. Basically, I miss how friendly this community was back in 2003 and I believe others do as well. Sadly, a lot of the newer members never got to see the Gaia we remember. We can at least try to give them a taste of it. We can try to bring it back.
Over the years, the older members lost their way. Items became more than cute accessories and became objects of status. New members stopped being welcome on an equal level and are actually insulted simply for being new on many occasions. If someone doesn't know Gaia and makes a mistake or asks a question, they have a greater chance of being responded to rudely than politely. We have lost our way. It's up to us to find the path back.
It's the people that make a community. Items are cute, I love them quite a lot but items do not make a community. From the lovable troll to the kind hearted person, we come in all shapes, sizes and flavors. I do not think less of a person for being bluntly honest or even a little snarky. I'm snarky. I'm rude at times, but it doesn't stop me from having a heart and carrying about this forum and the people within it.
None of us are perfect. We are all flawed but we do share one common interest. Gaia Online. This movement is an attempt to see past the differences and concentrate on the similarities. To bring back the politeness, the helpfulness and the friendship that has slowly deteriorated over the years. If we let our join dates and items dictate who we talk to or befriend, or let our jealousies blind us, then we are the fools missing out on the chance to know some really good people and contributing towards our community a chance to make it a better place.
