In a time when the black market was rich and just starting out, there were objects more valuable then any gold for sale. Guards were bid on in the hundreds to protect the small time buyers and although this practice was formally known as body guards, in the background, it was obvious to anyone on the black market that the guard was a slave. Down in the large town of Abrahan a family was just having their son, Connor, make his first introductions into the world they lived. The whole town was corrupt and although this made it the ideal place to work, it did not make it the ideal place to start. Knowing this from the beginning they chose Cairan Conall as their son's body guard.From a young age Connor was brought up in a secluded household. He was home schooled and always taught that he was the best when he did run across other kids. He gained a very self centered view on the world and as he progressed and started going to school, he was found as a bully. When the principle finally had to suspend him for misconduct, which was rare in that school, his parents finally had to sit him down and talk to him. Connor had been a tyrant to the other families by simply speaking his mind. He had such a strong mind set and view on what was going on in the world that they had no choice but to ban him from fighting and keep him physically weak just so he wouldn't start to beat them up. What they found was they created a horror child and although he could focus his aggression on one thing, they knew that they had to control him some other way as well. When he finally reached 18, and they decided just who to use, it was Cairan who was the victim. By that time the guard was 21 and already strong set in build and way. He was brought to the 18th birthday party and as both, a graduation present, and a way to stop themselves from being attacked once they gave Connor a gun, he was gifted away.
Cairan grew up in a very different style then Connor. He was raised to be quiet and observant. His parents were unusually strict on him no matter what it was he did and he learned to be a protectionist early on in life. As an object of the black market, he was taught only what he needed to learn which was minimal. He finished his schooling early at 14 with very little knowledge at all and often didn't believe what he was 'taught' which made him fail. His selective mind excluded what others, aside from his parents, taught him and created a new way of doing things. Cairan began his first jobs at 14 after school with guarding small things like rich people's pets, or driving their cars when he reached 16. He learned to be a servant and a butler until he was 21, perfecting his art. When he was 21 it was announced that he was bought by the Diarmaid family, the family with the restless Connor.
