Kali, had been warned by some Seconds (namely her siblings) to not go near the mountain regions. However... she thought in the name of research and science that it would be worth one's while to look at the mountains. She told herself quite reasonably that she would only be at the base and she would be in the cave system (which she told herself could yield interesting information).
So she would admit this was not the brightest idea she ever had, as she hefted her shoulder bag with her supplies up towards the first cave she saw. After all the mountains were dangerous... she a mixture of water, vintager, and ground chili flakes in a spray bottle at her hip. She could run if she really needed to.
Besides, what was the worse that could happen she thought as she brought out a glowing bottle given to her by her mother.
