It was a rather chilly day out. Not like the usual weather found around these places. Amatsila shivered and stood close to the tree. In the forest everything seemed so much more moist. The night before, Ama could tell it had rain. The seasons were changing, that was what she could conclude. She could see droplets of water sitting rather nicely on tree leaves. One hit or gentle shook to the tree trunk, it would cause all those droplets to fall off. It has been quite a while since she met her last soquili. Couldn't recall who it was but it wasnt anyone who she would remember with a bad scent. Ama smiled and closed her eyes as Spinel slipped back into her mind. He was just so charming. His looks started to really appeal to her. An eagle swooped down towards her, and her eyes shot open. Ama neighed quite loudly and started trotting deeper into the forest. Her heart racing as she kept going, faster with each step. Afraid that the eagle may be a demon and was after her. The running, which felt like forever, finally stopped when she took a quick glance back to see nothing was after her. She halted and was taking breathes in quickly. Deep in the forest, she knew where she was. At the same time, she didnt know exactly where she was. Ama had heard the evil demons had lived amongst the deeper parts of the forest.

She shivered with fear this time. Trembling almost. Not quite sure what she would find here, however she wouldn't like to go back out there with what ever that bird could turn into. A skin walker was a possibility. Her heart still racing, Ama kept her ears erected and she dare not move. Deep in the forest, it didnt differ much from the outer parts, perhaps a bit more darker and had more trees to give off shades. Ama decided it was best she just stand there for a while then head back out later.

Cissia made her way through the trees, her dark coat blending her into the shadows of the trees easily. Her mane was tangled and had leaves and sticks and other gunk stuck in it's normally silky strands. Her tail was in similar condition, leaving the very vain mare in a rather pissy mood. She hated being in the forest, but she'd been spooked into the trees by an unknown shadow; it was all a blur in her memory.

Looking ahead, she saw the light blue mare with the soft purple mane and tail. Tilting her head, she judged up the other mare, trying to decide if she was prettier than Cissia. Taking a step forward to get a closer look, she blinked, stepping on a twig and snapping it in half with a loud crack.

A snap of a twig could easily make her running for her life yet again. However, the spirits seem to have anchored her hooves down onto the earth. Ama just flicked her head quickly and faced the noise. At first she couldnt see anything in such a quick glance. So, she turned her head back to look the other way. Just then she caught a pair of eyes. This sent chills down her spine, such a dark mare stood not too far away. Looking right at her, their eyes were in contact. Ama tried to remain calm, she put on a rather puzzled expression. Not saying anything back to the mare. The turquoise soquili was able to lift her hooves now and turn her body to face this other one. Her heart felt rather brave at the moment. Although she knew any sudden noise or appearance of another soquili, it would send her flying off. Running so fast that she would be flying. Amatsila did not smile or anything, she just watched the other mare curiously, wondering what she was staring at her for. Maybe her coat was glowing again in the shadows. It often did that in the dark, since she was such a bright coloured mare. Ama found it pretty but sometimes she found herself to be an easy bait at night. Easy to spot anyways. She sighed and her expression changed back to emotionless. Inside she was actually trembling, from the eagle and the creepiness of this mare. Her eyes couldnt see her visitor so easily, only because she seem to blend. Instead some patterns were on this one.

Lifting her hooves, she kept her head held high and body straightened, taking slow steps forward. Only a few. Stopped about a metre away and waited for her to say something. For sure Ama wasnt going to, onless she really felt brave. That was not often the case. Usually the other one would have said something first.

Cissia fully stepped out from the shadows and snorted a little, noticing the frightened look in the other mare's eyes. "Geeze.... I'm not THAT scary looking, am I?" She knew she wasn't in her best condition because of the toll the low foliage of the forest took on her mane and tail. She knew it was in knots and tangles and she knew that it wasn't in it's best condition. Once she got back to the Teepee, she was going to make sure that her human gave her plenty of grooming; until then, there was a mare in front of her that looked really freaked out.

"So why are you so skittish...?"

Ama felt a bit repelled by this mare's behavior, she could have asked what was wrong. Then, this might be one of those not so nice ones. Ama straightened herself and looked fully at her company in the light. She had quite the mess in her. Ama did not find it scary but it looked like this mare fell down the mountain side and caught everything. The image was epic in her head, and she laughed on the inside about it. Probably not what happend but it was a good conclusion. She was lucky to have survived. The mare kept her mouth shut, just because she runs into another, does not mean she'll talk right away. She turned and looked in front of her, taking her gaze off and just flicked her tail. This one was not so intimidating once it had spoke. Ama has found some courage and confidence in herself, so she has some control on her paranoid side once in a while. She yawned and turned back to the other mare, still waiting for more to come. Even in the light, you could barely see her, you really could not tell which part was which, it was a beautiful black but held quite creepily. Her eyes white really reflected off of her black and that gave off a really creepy feeling. Trembling came back to her again, but she controlled it yet again. This other....mare..yes it was a mare...didnt have anything like what a 'demon' has so she does not need to be feared as much. However, even if one does not seem frightening, they could be dangerous still. Plus, who knows if their are soquilis who can shapeshift into others. Ama turned very solemnly towards her company and watched her carefully.

Cissia watched the light blue colored mare, waiting for an answer to her question, or at least some acknowledgment that she'd been heard. After a few minutes, she scrunched up her nose a little, her ears flicking back. "Well, way to be rude." She huffed out at the mare, clearly upset.

Making up her mind to leave with what little dignity she could muster after the clear disaster of her looks, she held her head up high and started walking away. Unfortunately the nasty branches of the trees that hung above them grasped and tangled into her mane and tail, pulling her back as she tried to move away. She gave a frustrated noise that mixed with the pain of getting her hair pulled rather sharply.
