It was bright and early- the sun had barely cleared the tree tops, and even the birds seemed to be reluctant to begin their singing. No sane soquili would be awake at this early hour, but then, few people would classify Clara as sane. Her reverent wonder at the magic of the dawn hour was something he couldn't really share with anyone- who would understand? Slowly, but surely, Clara was growing to learn that not everyone would understand the way she thought of the world.
Snorting negative thoughts out of her head, the delicate mare tossed her head once, brown ringlets hitting her neck and cascading downwards. She wasn't sure what kept them so constantly tightly coiled, even when she washed them or had a two-legger pick various objects out of it. More of her mysterious magic, she supposed. It was something even Clara couldn't understand fully, though she did her best to harness the healing powers her golden horn seemed able to tap into. It gave her some sense of purpose in life, making her less of the constant and useless wanderer, and more of a mare with a purpose.
She was going the negative path again! This wasn't like her at all. Instead, Clara forced herself to admire the sunrise, the way the light seemed to go from a pink to a deep purple, then slowly to red, then gradually to yellow. The rainbow hues lit up the water, backlit the mare herself so that she seemed more of a pink haze than any clearly discernible object.
The first of the birds began to sing, hesitantly, then with a burst of song that set Clara to humming along with it, her own melodious voice providing a counter beat to that of the bird. Eventually the winged creature flew away, but a smile stayed firmly on Clara's face. "It's so beautiful out. Who couldn't love the world?" She spoke aloud, not caring who heard. She wanted to share her opinions with everyone- the birds and the insects and whatever other little creatures might be stirring at this early hour. Everyone should share her love. After all, who wouldn't?

It was such an ungodly time to be awake, but unfortunately for Abel Nightroad, he didn't have that much of a choice. Because his decision to leave his teepee and his worrisome heart, he found himself at often times, fretting what was going on back home. Were they fighting? Were they getting along? Have any been injured or killed? Were there any new foals? All these things mainly popped into his head at night, more often than not, preventing the tall stallion to get any sleep.
So here he was, wandering through the forest as the sun started to rise. He let out a loud yawn, but coughed as a tiny bug flew into his mouth. After, unfortunately, eating the poor insect, he stuck out his tongue, "My how very unpleasant." He muttered to himself before trekking on.
Getting deeper through the trees, the sun now hitting higher, he could now tell that the birds were starting to get warmed up by the start of their songs. He smiled and looked up to the trees, his own wings fluttering lightly. But something sounded different, his ears perking. It didn't sound like a bird at all. With a curious tilt of his head, he headed off in the direction the sound was coming from, it becoming more distinguishable as humming as he got closer.
Soon enough, he happened upon what or who it was that was making the lovely tune. His red eyes peered upon a fellow clothed horse, a mare and an unicorn at that. A smile formed on his lips at the question he happened to walk in on her asking. He knew it was rude to interrupt, but he couldn't just leave it unanswered. "I know I surely love this wonderful world." He replied, stepping out into view of the mare with a bow of his head.

Startled, Clara lifted her head and regarded the newcomer with wide, blue eyes, unable to fully comprehend what he was doing there. It was rather early, after all.
After a few moments, she was able to determine that he truly meant no harm out of her, and her guard relaxed slightly, head lowering and looking rather sheepish at her tensed up body. Clara had ever been one to flee rather than fight, and it was hard to uncoil her muscles from the running position once they had managed to tense up in that way.
"There's so much of the world to love!" Conversation would relax her, wouldn't it? It would manage to untense her muscles. What was with her today? Perhaps it was just because Clara was a rather flighty mare, prone to thinking that shadows were monsters hell bent upon consuming her very being. This wind stallion didn't look like a monster though. He had a kindly face, and Clara would just have to trust in that.
"You're up rather early. I'm used to being the only one up at this hour." Or at any of the odd hours she kept, really. Clara never seemed to be awake during the proper daylight times- it was always dawn or dusk or late at night for her. It meant that she spent much of her time in solitude, but Clara didn't mind. You were never truly alone when you were in the forest. You could lack companions that spoke back to you, but you were never alone. Even the trees would smile down at you, if you just smiled up at them.
"My name is Clara. What's yours?" She hadn't introduced herself yet- how rude! Ah well. It was coming now, and it was hard to resist a charming smile, Clara had found.

"I'm terribly sorry for startling you. I just felt you deserved an answer to your question." Abel told her, giving her an apologetic bow. Righting himself, he gave her a serene smile as he stepped out completely from the cover of the trees.
The stallion was too gentle for his own good. He couldn't be intimidating even if his life depended on it. He would rather talk himself out of a situation rather than get physical with someone. Because of this, he tries to walk on eggshells around others, though, in more cases than not, he finds that's not always possible.
He nodded in agreement with her, wings fluttering. "Yes, there is indeed. I often find it a shame that there is so much of it, it is difficult to travel it all to see all its beauty." He told her, a small frown appearing on his face for a brief moment from the thought of what he just said.
At her statement about being up early, he gave her a soft chuckle. "Why yes, I must admit to myself that this is a time I never usually find myself awake, but lately I find myself thinking about many things, it disrupted my sleeping habits." He told her tail giving a light flick. When she introduced herself, he smiled. "I am Abel Nightroad, it is a pleasure to meet you Miss Clara."
