Zave was weakly floating back and forth in anticipation for the check up. Tsu had promised him that he'd only let Dr. Kyou or Lazarus be there, since Zave felt too awkward being checked up by his own guardian... and well... Tsu wasn't one to be trusted normally. When he heard that Meli hadn't been too happy that he had collapsed, Zave felt terrible that he caused such worry, but it couldn't be helped.
Truth be told, Zave had a lot of questions that he wanted to ask still. Mostly in terms of summoning. The words from the oracle still rung out in his mind, and well... if he was going to learn to summon a storm, this was going to be the best source of information without Tsu finding out what was going on. While he was at it, he might as well look into some sort of trinket from each of the elemental raevans, such as Lazarus.
Zave finally found a place to float lower, the lack of weather changes over summer always left him with a little bit of sun poisoning, and that meant he just felt weaker. Why couldn't it be fall yet? The change of seasons always brought about more rain and wind. Zave reasoned to himself, finding his complaints to be logical. Maybe I can get to the bottom of this and figure out how to handle the whole oracle's message ringing in my head. Those were really the only thoughts keeping Zavier moving forwards sometimes, and also made the waiting more bearable.

Lazarus had been a little worried about Zave's condition ever since the Summer beach party. Apparently the hot weather and the lack of wind or rain is detrimental to Zave's well being. He had thought that Zave would want to meet Kyou, or Melisande even, before meeting him. Since they are dating right? But he was surprised that Zave had asked for him first instead of anyone else. How could he refuse?
Going down the corridor, Lazarus glanced around a bit at the new surrounding. The laboratory building is almost brand new, the smell of paint still lingers on the walls. Everything is still a little foreign to him. He was a little sad moving out of Tsu's apartment actually, that place is more exciting than here, which is still very new... and empty.
His thoughts went away when he pushed open the doors to see Zave in the lab, it's almost like meeting a long lost brother or something. "Zave!" he exclaimed, expression lightened up. But just like how quickly it came, it went away just as quick. Zavier looked much weaker then he remembered, he also looked kind of sad, or worried, Lazarus couldn't really tell. His expression turned into one of worried. "H-how are you doing?"

Zave straightened upright a little bit when his "brother" Lazarus came in. The sound of worry in Laz's voice could be heard through the hesitance of "H-how are you doing?" it was a decisively different tone from when he had first come in.
With a somewhat weak smile, Zave forced a lie out. "Hey Laz! I'm... fine. How've you been? Still getting used to this place, too?" It was odd how much the words were stumbling in his mouth, even though his mind was sharp and ringing clear. If anything, there was a definite amount of frustration about all of this. Not only was he causing people unnecessary worry, but he wasn't able to convince them that he was perfectly fine. Not being able to put his ideas into words was worse than any other sort of punishment he could think of.
"I'm sorry Laz.... next time, could you have someone bring my journal?" Zave didn't want to admit it, but the journal might be the only way he could express himself. There was definitely NO WAY he was going to tell Tsu. "Just don't let Tsu find out about it."

Lazarus wasn't convinced, even a 12 year old could recognize an obvious lie like that. But not wanting Zavier to see that he is worried about him, he would play along his lie for now. Just in case his worry would make Zave feel uncomfortable.
"Yeah, I'm good." He said, sighing. "This place is still new, and still very... alien to me." he admitted as he took a look around the laboratory. The only familiar stuff in the room were the Raevan tanks. The rest of the equipments are pretty much brand new. He actually felt a little off balanced, to see that the burn mark he had left on the wall when he was younger near one of the tanks, not there anymore. "Don't worry about it, I'll get used to it in no time." he said reassuringly, looking back at Zave.
"Your journal? Isn't it back at Tsu's apartment?" he asked, curious as to why Zave is asking about it now. "I.. I'm not sure. Most of the stuff had been moved here already. But I guess I could say that Kyou forgotten something there as an excuse to go back and get the journal for you. It wouldn't take too long. If you want me to?" Zave is probably too weak to go back all the way and come back here.

Zave grimaced a little when he realized what Lazarus was telling him. Of course the journal would be back at the apartment. Hidden away in a place that he thought Tsu or Kai would never bother to look. Sighing inwardly, Zave smiled a little and shook his head no.
"It's fine. Just... pen and paper then please? It'd be easier to write down." Truth be told, he really wanted to tell someone about his dreams that had been plaguing him for a while, and quite frankly he really only trusted Dr. Kyou and the other raevans at this point. "I'm sorry to make you go through all this for me, it's just I'd rather have someone I trust do a check up on me." Zave murmured while just hovering over a chair of sorts.
He took in the look of the new offices. He'd been in the old lab long enough to feel slightly unfamiliar with the new design, but that went without saying. "There's no doubt that you'll end up getting used to this place eventually. It's a lot quieter in the apartments now that you, Kyou and Kaze all moved back here. You do need to visit once in a while. Also, don't tell them I told you... but Kai and Tsu would probably be happy to see you guys around once in a while too."

Hearing Zave said that he could be trusted actually gave Lazarus a huge boost of confidence. Perhaps it was because no one had really commented that about him before, or it could be because it came from Zave? But he was glad that he could think of Zave as someone that he could trust too.
"No worries about it, I could understand if you don't want to get checked up by Tsu." an image of the elder doctor sneering came up in his mind as he opened some drawers, looking for some pen and paper. The occasional meetings he had with Tsu is annoying enough, he couldn't imagine living with him or facing him everyday. Well, technically he did lived with Tsu for a while, but he tried to stay out of each other's sight.
Good thing Kyou bought some basic equipments yesterday. Lazarus thought as he pulled out some for Zave. "Here you go." He said as he presented the pen and a small stack of papers to the blue Frei on the table. "And yeah, I guess I should visit some time, Kaze is easy enough to bring over. Maybe we should rent some movies again while we're at it too!" he suggested, grinning.
"So, what you want to talk about anyway?" he asked, leaning on the side of the table to get comfortable.

"I've found some things really disturbing about Tsu." Zave confided "Back when Meli came in for her check up... he was so cool and calm about the entire situation. I can't tell if he doesn't care or he's maintaining a professional attitude. Somehow professional and Tsu don't really go together... so I just end up thinking he's cold-hearted. Not to mention I read his journal. Which actually gets back to why I'm here."
Zave took a breath, words spilling forth like a downpour. Everything he had bottled up all this time... everything he felt or thought... threatened to burst forth from the half formed raevan. He just didn't have the energy to hold back anymore.
"I only really looked at the journal because, well... I've been having these weird dreams lately and I had no idea what they meant. To be honest... I still don't, and the person I went to see about them before... told me the answers would be beyond the maelstrom? It's all very confusing." Taking up the paper and pen, Zave began to scribble down what he saw in as best detail that he could. Hopefully the words would make sense to someone.
After he finished writing down all the information he could muster, Zave put the pen down and looked up, allowing a small pause. "Also, Tsu wanted me to make sure and ask someone to check that there wasn't any lasting side effects from the incident at the summer festival. I really feel bad causing all of you worry back then...."

Dreams. Lazarus's expression turned grim for a little while as he remembered the last time he had haunting dreams. Although he haven't had any of them again strangely after he grown into a Sigel, but the images still played in his memory occasionally. Until now, he still don't know what those mean either.
"I'm not surprised about that with Tsu actually, he always seemed a little bit distant to me too." he had to confess, he and Tsu never really got along well. Lazarus pondered about Zavier's situation for a little. "What... exactly did you found out by reading Tsu's journal?" he had to ask, because what was written in there is the cause of Zave's current distress.
Lazarus probably wasn't the best candidate to come to when it's about physical check-ups though, but he try his best. "As for your physical situation. Other than the fact that you look a little bit frail and over exhausted, nothing is really different. It could probably due to your emotional stress towards the dream and Tsu more than anything though. That incident during the Summer festival probably just weakened you."

Zave gave a slight chuckle at what Laz had told him about the physical appearance and shook his head slightly. "You're really new to the whole acting like a doctor bit, aren't you?" Zave laughed "If you could just look at someone or something and tell them exactly what's wrong, then doctors would be long out of a job. You might want to run the normal tests of checking for heartbeat if there is any, and also the levels of the rune to see if there might be long term damages. Also in case there is something abnormal... suggesting routes to handle that issue."
Zave wasn't surprised that the other raevan acted more like a therapist than anything else. After all, he was the exact same way with the other raevans when they came to Tsu for a check up. He provided care for the heart, while Tsu provided the physical care. It was just he had also learned the other parts of treating patients while Tsu was there.
Zave looked puzzled about the question Laz had asked in regards to what was written in the journal. After all, he hadn't been able to understand all of it himself. However, answering an honest question with an honest answer was the proper thing to do. "There was a lot of it that I didn't understand. From the sounds of what happened, I went by a different name... Sleip...nir? That sounds right. And so I was Sleipnir before, and that's when I first met Tsu. He called me into this world from where ever I was from, and then attacked me. Finally it sounds like he killed me? Or whoever I was before. Then I was born. It sounds hard to believe, doesn't it?" Zave furrowed his brows at his older brother a little, "But the things that happened in Tsu's journal match up with the bits of the dream I had remembered."
Finally Zave licked his lips, "That's why I would like to try to summon a maelstrom. I think that's what the oracle was telling me I needed to do to get my answers. If I can get someone to say I'm healthy enough to do the summon, as well as get the proper ingredients, and learn about the right summon spell... I can get the answers I need about who I was." He looked hopefully at his brother for some help in these matters.

Lazarus blushed when Zave laughed at him. He was just trying to be helpful, he didn't realize at all that he was acting like a therapist. "I-I wasn't acting!!" he stammered. "I was just trying to help.... I'm really not sure how to do a proper physical check-up. Maybe Kyou is your next best choice, since you don't want to go to Tsu. And since you have energy to tease me, then you're doing good enough!" he responded, trying to recover from his embarassment.
He listen intently to Zavier's description of what was written in the journal. He was almost sure that he was describing Tsu's soul capture process. He paused for a moment, considering what Zavier just said. "Actually." if Zave can be honest, he will need to be too. "What you just described is probably Tsu's soul capture process. I've uh... went through some of Kyou's files before on the Raevans. In your file, it definitely stated that the soul used to create you was a creature named Sleipnir. I think it was a Norse mythology creature or something." he explained. "I didn't know Tsu was the one who killed your previ- I mean, Sleipnir though. Most owners went through different methods of acquiring their souls for the experiment. Like... Sevilin's soul was accidentally acquired when his owner left the soul bottle on the beach. And Lucia was from a dead pet, I think."
Pondering on the possibilities, Zave's dreams might definitely be related to the soul capture. If that is so, then his previous dreams, could it be related to his pass life too? If so, then it is a disturbing thought. Now, more than ever, he is almost desperate to know what soul was used to create him. Before this he never asked, and never bothered about it. He never even considered the possibility that it may be related to his past life!
Wheeling his thoughts back into the present, he tries to concentrate on helping Zave first. "I think Kyou is the better candidate to ask about the summon progress. But he's not around right now, I think he went to take care of some equipment issues. I think I know a book belonging to Kyou that might be able to help you. If you need it, then I could go retrieve it for you now." he suggested.

"Sorry... didn't mean to laugh like that..." Zave stifled his chuckles slightly, "...it's just I remember doing the same sorts of things when I was with raevans. It is rather frustrating when I can just only sit by and watch..."
Zave was only too aware of how hard Laz was trying and that he had been worried about what was going on, so it was best to be polite and play along with what was going on. "I guess if you'd rather, I'll have Kyou or Tsu look at me later. I guess the biggest thing was I wanted someone to talk about. For example, you're really the first person to tell me about the soul capture process. So... if I understanding what you are saying... then our previous form dies when our soul is captured, and then we're 'reborn' as we are now? What if we were happy before all of this happened? What if we had a 'family' there too?" Zave mulled over more questions in his head... including things he really wanted to ask someone tied to who he was.
"So... you say I'm from Norse mythology? Yet... Tsu summoned me... so it's not impossible to reach them. Do you think the oracle's clues about summoning the storm would help lead me to them? Well... either way, I guess I should try. Do you know where that book is that would help me with the summon? I'd at least like to copy down the possible information I need. Then I'll give the book back, I promise."
So many ideas were spinning around in Zave's head... mostly about finding the answers to everything short of the meaning of life. Still, with all was going on in his head, forgetting manners wouldn't be good. "Hey Laz...? Thank you... y'know for worrying and seeing me so quickly." Zave's eyes closed a little, as the energy he had found earlier seemed to diminish a little over the time he was talking.

Lazarus had never thought of those questions before. Zave was right, what if we were enjoying our lives before our soul was taken? What if there were other people that cared about us and are missing us right now? Although he highly doubt that he will be missed, since he knew very well that his previous life was some sort of demon. But what kind of demon exactly? Lazarus questioned himself now.
He remained speechless for a while, as he considered about Zave's many questions in his mind. "Alright, wait for me here for a moment, okay?" he spoke up finally. He will need to look into his own stuff later, Zave needs his help right now. Turning around, Lazarus sped over to Kyou's office and disappeared inside.
A few minutes later, he reappeared through the closed doors, holding two books in his hands. Hurrying over back to Zave, he placed the books on the table - one extremely thick, aged, and black leather bound book named "Age Old Book of Summons" and another much thinner, more modern one named "Looking Into Norse Mythology". "Here, you should be able to look up how to summon a storm through this thick black book here." Lazarus explained, shoving the leather bound book towards Zave. "I could let you borrow it back home. But promise me, please return this book as soon as possible!!" Putting emphasize on the last four words. The book is extremely rare and valuable, Kyou would probably murder Lazarus if he lost the book. Lazarus prays that Kyou wouldn't go looking for this book when it's being borrowed to Zave.
"The other one though," he said as he picked up the smaller book. "You could borrow as long as you like. It's to... you know, you could look up on Sleipnir if you want to."
"And don't worry about it, we're friends! We're supposed to help each other when we're in need, right?" As cheesy as that may sound, Lazarus meant every word he said A light pink tinged his tanned cheeks, a bit embarassed at what he just said. But he smiled and gave Zave a reassuring pat on the back.

Zave turned his gaze from Laz and his cheeks that were turning redder by the second to look at the two books sitting on the table. The way Laz acted handing the thicker bound version over, there was certainly a high value placed on the book. "Hmmm... well... if we look up that spell quickly right now, I'm sure we can make copies of the book somewhere?" Zave mused aloud. He certainly didn't want to be held responsible for the book getting lost. He was already pretty sure that Tsu did that same mistake before.
However, suggesting to find the spell and actually doing so was proving to be a more difficult task than what Zave had been planning on. "You'd think they'd have a table of contents or an index in this book or something..." he grumbled, turning another page past How to summon your very own will 'o the wisp. Where would something like a maelstrom be located in here anyway?!?" A few more pages and Zave was just about ready to send the book flying across the room. However, if he could stand living with Tsu, he wouldn't lose to a stupid book.
Finally reaching a section about "The Elements and You: Gaining a Hand over Nature Itself" Zave started slowing down the pace at which he turned pages. "Sun... Moon... Fire... Whirlwind... ah here we go... Storm (Maelstrom)." Zave began to study the pages in depth. "Hmmm... so aside from these runes... I'll have to get items of connection? Gifts from people or beings that I'm connected to. Best one to hope for is something tied to different elements too...." Zave began to take notes down furiously. "Where am I to find those tied to elements though?" Zave mused aloud. "In any case, I guess I should get this copied too. Laz, where was the copy machine again?"

Why didn't Lazarus thought about that? Zave could copy down the information he needed without needing to borrow back the book. You're a genius Laz. He thought sarcastically to himself as Zave flipped through the thick book.
Going around to Zave's side, Laz skimmed down the pages Zave found too and took note of the materials needed. "You need an item of light property, water property, fire, earth and wind. Hmm." Crossing his arms, he gave this some thoughts. "It has to be gifts from people with a connection to you, and possesses magical property? Maybe you could ask from the Raevans you know?"
He was dumbstruck though when Zave asked him about the copy machine. "Uh..." he started, "...we... don't have a copy machine." he said, smiling apologetically. Kyou still don't have enough budget to get some of the machineries he needed in here. "I think you are your own copy machine for now, or do you want me to hand copy for you?" he offered, seeing that Zave is a little weak physically right now.
