Who IS James Bond?
By that, obviously, I mean which actor portrayed him the best?

Roger Moore, yo. It's all about the Octopussy.

Pierce Brosnan. He had the accent, the look and the carefree nature down cold. He was fun to watch as Bond.

It's all about Sean Connery.
Failing that, Brosnan is the second best in my opinion.

Brosnan is good, but he carries those movies on his back. Without him most of them are garbage and you need a solid film behind your Bond. Moore was good and he had good material.

I, personally, liked Dalton. And I'm probably the only one who'll say that, but ehh. I'm not really sure WHY, I just liked The Living Daylights and License to Kill best in the saga (but Scaramanga is my favorite villain.)

Connery, then Dalton, then Brosnan. Connery made Bond. He was witty, intelligent, sexy and believably intelligent. He created the character for me. Dalton comes in second just because I like how dark his Bond got without becoming entirely depressing. Brosnan is a great actor but frankly, those Bond movies really really sucked. Bad writting coupled with bad supporting cast. But he's still believable as Bond. Except when surfing on car doors.

Sean Connery, for me. The man simply is Bond.
On a side note, WOo! new guild!

Patsy Walker Pierce Brosnan. He had the accent, the look and the carefree nature down cold. He was fun to watch as Bond. Having read a few of the books, I have to agree. Brosnan just felt more like Bond... Moore was ok, and Connery made the franchise, but ultimately Connery just never felt quite right after I read the books. I think its because his Bond just felt too rough and tumble.

Though no one can beat Sean's Bond, the most realistic Bond had to be Timothy Dalton... He was just mean.
