Actuall filming, or just research? Like what they did with Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks?
Sorry for being nitpicky but don't you mean season 5? Or is it one of the specials you're talking about?

Since when does being a spoiler keep you from copying a link? You just warn people there are spoilers if they click it.
I went to that site & found nothing at all about possible American filming in the next series. There IS a nice bit about Sarah Jane Adventures series 2, but not that.

I says in the artical filming 2 episoids for season 4 in America. I am thinking they are calling the specials season 4 for lack of a better term. Also another thing but it is a HUGE spoiler you would have to check out the site I mentioned. Sorry I can't post the link because a big spoiler is in the link but you can PM me if you want it and I will gladly send it to you.

Like Whatsit said--you just put a big spoiler warning on the link. There's no reason not to post it if it's real. And series 4 was what we just saw, the series with Donna in it.

I just edited the first post to include the link. It could be plausible if it's worked out correctly, but bear in mind that canon-wise it's probably impossible. rolleyes
Also, RTD is in charge of at least the first Christmas special. If I'm right, Moffat won't be heading up episodes until Series 5. sad (ie: not involved in the Christmas specials)

I just read about that on outpost gallifrey. Possible spoilers in white - For one, I can't imagine why they would bring donna back, unless it was somthing like her exploding (sorry > . <). But even so just no.
its also a bit like that with the master returning, but I think its a bit more likely with him, I mean he has a record for coming back. death never stopped him before. (but I also adore Simms Master so I kinda really want him back.)
And with the whole "American episodes" thing didn't they already try that with the movie... errr I spose I'd rather they stayed in Cardiff, Jacks all the America I need.
Also as far as I know, RTD is going to be writing the 4 specials for 2009, then Steven Moffat takes over for series 5.
Looking forward to the new SJA though, cant wait to see the episodes with a certain special guest.

Personally I'm hoping the filming part of that rumor is true. I dunno what I'd think about an American companion, but I'd be happy for some episodes set here.

About Donna possibly returning...have a look at my whited-out post today over in the Theme-O-Meter thread. mrgreen And they should come film in North Carolina. We already have a movie studio down around Wilmington. Loads of TV & movie filming goes on in this state. whee

I will be sorely disappointed if they film an episode of Doctor Who in the U.S. (again) and fail to include a scene with the World's Largest Twine Ball in Darwin, Minnesota. CLEARLY the twine ball must be the Master's TARDIS, carefully disguised by its chameleon circuit to be completely inconspicuous. I mean, what other reason could there be for its existence?
They should also have the Doctor pop in and visit the 'American' Peri Brown and her alien barbarian king husband living in San Francisco.
Edit: So what's this rumor I'm hearing about Ice-T being the next companion then? wink
