Well after 2 weeks of the new "distraction" i find thats its a fun way to gain exp if your bored for one hour. there are some requirements and some useful things to start.

Cold war-so you can get 2 points for some of the penguins

Underground pass/Regicide-that way if there are any penguins in elf lands you can get them

Priest in Peril-morytania area

Cabin fever-sometimes there may be a penguin in mos le harmless

all "Relleka" related quests-this includes lunar, fremmik isles, mountain daughter for all areas around relleka

legends/shilo- Khazari jungle and shilo village can appear

troll series- for trollhiem and death plateu areas

myreque series/nature spirit-the woods and there may be a chance of a halowvale penguin

swan song-piscatoris area

Useful things to have:
ability to use fairy rings
teleportation jewlery
tabs(that way you can use ancients for few areas)
water tiara
might need food for a few of them
gnome gliders/spirit trees


when actually hunting them down it is helpful to have a group of 5 or more. Penguins move a lot and can be annoying to find. You also need to know what to look for. Their disguised usually represent their areas for example

Toadstool:zanaris
Bush:mcgrubbors woods
rock:lighthouse
Barrel:mos le harmless
crate:port phasymatis
cactus:desert

once you know what to look for it can get easy just look for that object but moving. some penguins can have high ranges where it moves some low. But thats what makes it challenging and enjoyable. Good luck hunting down those penguins and i hope this guide helps.
