He had just left home.
Or rather, what had once been his home. Remi's neck was still raw where the collar had chafed as he desperately wiggled out of it. The kitten hadn't wanted to leave, but circumstances had made it his last chance.
Now he was out, though, he was still feeling the heady rush of freedom. He felt like Tintin going on some grand adventure, and in play, he thrust his violin bow at some invisible baddies. "You're not going to get away from me!" he called triumphantly. "I'm... I'm... Whooooa!" Nearly tripping with an overenthusiastic parry, he straightened himself up. "Careful!" he chided himself. It would have been bad if he had broken the violin. It was his only companion now. He somberly checked it just to make sure. It was a little scratched anyway, Remi had no case to hold it in. "Well, better than broken." he muttered.

Roxy had been watching the younger cat from not to far away and couldn't help but laugh at his actions, but she was curious she hadn't even seen anything like the wooden instrument he was holding, by the way he looked it over she knew that there was something special about it. She slowly flipped out of the tree she was in jumping and landing on her feet brushing the invisible dirt from her pink Jumper and straightening it, she walked over to Remi, " Hey Stud" She said with a smirk as she watched him, " whatcha got there?" she asked pointing at the Violin he had, " And what's your name Cutie?" She asked as she cocked her hips to the side and rested her hands on them.

Surprise crossed Remi's face as he looked up from his violin. "Oh!" he exclaimed, looking at the other cat. The firt other cat he had ever seen! He hadn't seen many girls before either, only humans. He wondered if they all unbuttoned their shirts that much. It looked cold, and Remi was glad he was a boy and could wear a coat. "My name is Remi." he said. He started to offer her his hand to shake but realized both hands were full of violin and bow so instead he smiled at her. "This is my violin." proudly, he held it up for the other cat to see. "I can play songs on it, kind of. I don't know that many so sometimes I make it up." He tilted his head. "Would you like to hear something? If you hum it I'll try my best to play it."

"Umm well I don't really know songs Remi but thats pretty cool" She said with a smile, "My name's Roxy by the way" she said nodding slightly, "How long have you been around here?" She asked her eyes still trailing over the instrument, "where did you get the violin at?" She asked curiously.

Remi nodded. "That's fine, I don't know many either." he said sheepishly. "But it's a pleasure to meet you, Roxy!" He grinned. He had been introduced to another cat AND it was a girl. This day was full of adventure! "This is my first day away from home." he announced, then bit his tongue. Would Tintin reveal something like that? Probably. Honest was the best policy, after all. Remi looked at his violin. "My grandpa." he said. "He's a human and he owned me. He used to play violin for me every night and talk about how he played it, but now I've run away so I guess I'll have to play violin for me every night." The realization made Remi feel like his guts had been scooped out of his body. He felt hollow. But persisting, he continued on in a cheerful voice. "I feel a little bad since I took it without asking him... It's a little big, too. But I really wanted something to remember him by."

Remi winced. "Yes." he admitted guiltily. He knew Tintin wouldn't have stolen it. A good boy wouldn't have. But even though he knew that, even though he wanted to be the best person he could be, when it came to leaving home, he just couldn't summon the courage to without that familiar violin.
And not leaving would have been calamitous. He liked to tell himself there had been no other choice, that he wasn't evil and that Grandfather would have wanted him to have it. He liked to tell himself that, but he would always feel guilty about it. So the second best thing he could do, was admit he took it, or 'fess up'.
Remi puffed out his chest. "I can handle it." he assured her. "I may not look like it, but I'm a daring adventurer." He considered the title. "Well, a daring adventurer in training anyway."

Roxy couldn't help but laugh, " You look more like a lost child to me, over a daring adventurer, or one in training, are you sure you just didn't stray from the mansion to far?" She asked with a smirk, she shook her head at him, "Maybe we should take you back to Nayman's" She told him with a nod she chewed on her finger where a hang nail was lurking and annoying her.

Remi shook his head. "Appearances are deceiving, you know." he said conspiratorially. "I may actually have hidden abilities." He didn't. But she didn't know that, right? Remi tilted his head. "Mansion..." Like Marlinspike Hall? "You live in a mansion?!" he asked incredulously. "That's so cool! Does it have a marble staircase and stuff? What about underground catacombs?" His imagination went wild. "Do you have a butler? Does he..." Remi imitated a well-bred drawl, "Talk like this?" Maybe... "Are you..." He lowered his voice to a whisper, "Are you an aristocrat?" Imagine, meeting someone who lived in a mansion!

Roxy rolled her eyes, "does It look like I stay in a mansion, I live in a car up the road with this other Cat called Marshall, but He told me about Kouji and Raelyn who live in the mansion with Spinner........ I think that's what her name was, but No I don't live in the house so like I don't know if it has all those things." She raised an eyebrow at the Boy, "Why are you so excited about a mansion?" She asked looking skeptically at the other.

Remi deflated. "Oh, well a car is cool too, you know." he said. "I've never been in one of those, either." He looked thoughtful. "Well, a mansion is really posh, right? And full of adventure and stuff. So wouldn't it be fun to go in one?" His eyes glowed with pleasure at the thought. "Of course, it might be all dusty and then you'd sneeze a lot."
"You seem like you get what you want." Remi informed her. "Like you could live in a mansion if you really wanted to." She talked very confidently, he thought. It gave the impression.

Roxy smirked, " Of course I get what I want, I have these..." She said running her hand in front of her breasts, " I guess the mansion would be 'Posh' But I'm not into Posh, you gota rough it, Make it on your own, ya know?" She asked him playing with her tail a bit, " you can't depend on the man anymore, remember the man put you out here" She said disdain dripping from the words as she spoke about her owner, she never really missed him..... well not often and she hated when she did.

Skye wandered the streets with her bow and arrows clunking on her back. She was tired. She had never carried her quiver for more than an hour. that was how pampered she was. With or without the cute little fluffy white wings, it still weighed a TON on her poor little shoulders.
She wanted to talk. She was a talkative person with people she knew. But at first glance, poor little Skye would look like a guy! Her shirt was slightly baggy and covered whatever chest she had! It didn't matter to her but some people might've wanted her to be more... feminine.

Remi blushed and looked at his feet. He wasn't REALLY sure what sexual wiles were yet, but he knew enough to be uncomfortable when he saw them in action. "Oooo, so you're an adventurer too then?" he asked. Roughing it and making it on your own was adventuring, definitely. Remi hadn't really thought about making it on his own. "Well, I didn't really think about that when I ran away..." he admitted sheepishly. "The whole thing was kind of a rushed job." He paused. He wasn't sure who the Man was, but they sounded too scary to be grandfather, and that was the only Man he knew. "I don't think I've ever met the Man..." he said dubiously.
He heard a clunking in the distance. It had a good beat, his foot began to tap. "Hey!" he exclaimed. "What a great rhythm." He lifted his violin and played a few notes to match it.

Skye lifted her ears. Her fluffy tail behind her. She heard music. It floated along the air and it sounded... Nostalgic. She followed it. It was close. She peered around a building to see a cute little blonde orange tabby with something in his arm. It was rested against his shoulder and something that was pulled and pushed along the silvery strings of that in his hand. She wanted to approach but... she saw he was with someone.
she stared at the other woman with him. Her chest was large and Skye thought the most logical thing. He liked her and was playing the magnificent tune for her. Her ears drooped as she stayed in the shadow of the building, trying to be as silent as she could; enjoying the song.
